We traveled 12 hours from Virginia to Massachusetts and stopped here or coffee and breakfast. The bathroom was clean and there wasn't a long line. If you want to order food and coffee you need to use the kiosks. They offered a variety of breakfast sandwiches and breakfast options. They also offered kids meal breakfast. We ordered a bagel for one child and French toast for another. They came with a small drink and health size option of carrots, apple or applesauce. The adult breakfast sandwich on a bagel was huge, but it was good. The ice coffee was good. I accidentally ordered some Grahm cracker crumbs on top of my coffee and I did not like it. Otherwise, I would go back when in the area. The coffee comes from one side of the counter and food comes from another side. You get a ticket and pay for everything at the counter if you wanted to grab chips or anything else. read more

This is a good Wawa location: not far from the interstate, lots of parking, and your standard Wawa experience. This is my usual stop when on 295. I can't speak on anything exceptional, but the restrooms are usually well maintained and the place is pretty clean overall. Way better than the average gas station. This is a nice interstate exit in general. If the hoagies aren't your thing, there are other options nearby. read more

This is the first time I've been to this wawa, the staffs are nice and it's very clean expect the bathroom. I am sure that has something to do with the fact that it's located right off a major highway. Thankfully they have toilet seat covers and lots of hand soap. read more

I know all Wawas look alike, but this one has exceptional service. If there's a line, they open up another register. The breakfast sandwiches (I like the bacon, egg and cheese croissant) are always fresh and hot. It's typically clean inside and well stocked. But the parking lot was a tad untidy. You really can't go wrong with wawas. Freshly made sandwiches , an array of fresh coffees. A lil bakery, sweet tea, many coffee creamer flavors. The staff up front and at the sandwich area were smiling and making sandwiches like they enjoyed it. read more

Spacious and busy stop. Gas is reasonably priced and lot of stations to load gas. Inside the store was spacious as well. Lot of cashiers working at the same time to get the late morning rush down. While we shopped, our sandwich was ready. Wonderful one stop shop for everything. read more

The coffee/creamer area in this Wawa is, surprisingly, always a hot mess in the mornings. My hubby even agreed with me and he's not a stickler for this stuff. Milk and coffee spilled everywhere. So different from the Short Pump, Ashland and even VCC areas. But I absolutely love anything Wawa. Especially their coffee. And the staff are really nice! Oh well, I guess i'll deal. Wawa is a great gas station although they are usually super busy especially for gas. Inside if it looking for eats, they have great donuts, apple fritters, and the cinnamon buns are to die for. Their ice coffee is amazing. They have regular, mint mocha and vanilla and honestly they are all good. Think my favorite is def the mint mocha though. They have made to order subs and a hot coffee station and slushies. They have lots of normal stuff like sodas, energy drinks, candy and snacks. They even have protein bars. They offer great beef jerky if you're into that. My kids are obsessed with wawa and would go everyday if I let them. LOL. Overall I'd say great eats for a gas station. This Wawa is one of the seven wonders of Mechanicsville and holds so many memories for me- late night snacks and late night harassment by local law enforcement for hanging out in the parking lot. Would come here with my friend Scott and he would always get the pretzel while I got the buff chick sub with minced jalapeños. Stuff of heaven. Whenever I come here I always see people from my high school and we always muse about old times- like the time we jacked the syrup from the soda machine to use them as chasers. classic. But I must say for all the lore, wawa really dropped the ball on my last trip there when I discovered that they were out of regular iced coffee. They had mocha mint and French vanilla but those are too sugary for mother so we had to improvise and stick a cup of hot coffee in the fridge where the cold drinks reside (Alex's idea). you see, ice would just water it down and who likes to drink watery Joe? Not this guy. Not mother dearest. But all is forgiven because nothing beats wawas selection of coffee blends. We were in that horrible snowstorm on Sunday night, Dec 9th, trying to get home to Fairfax County. We were stuck in traffic as the entrance to Interstate 95 was closed and traffic was clogged up for almost 10 miles and the snow was hammering down. Everyone probably wondered how they'd ever get to where they were going. My husband and I were on the road for hours in those treacherous conditions, we had to get someplace where we could get something to drink and use the restrooms. It seemed impossible that we could actually get on to an exit with businesses that would be open at such a late hour and with such horrible heavy snow on the roads. But we managed to get off 295 and then we saw it, the Wawa with all its lights on! We slid into their parking lot and were greeted cheerfully by an employee. The gas pumps were all open and a man was busy trying to clear things with a snow shovel. The bathrooms were clean and the place was bustling with customers. We felt such relief to be someplace that wasn't stressful. When we went back to our car wondering if we'd ever get home to Fairfax County, a man asked if he could help us and shoveled behind our car so we could back out. This Wawa was an oasis, a safe haven from the dangerous roads, and a place where people cared. Thank you so much! read more
