Being from Buffalo, NY where we do not have Wawa, I was excited to try it out for the first time since everyone I know on the East Coast raves about it being the best of gas stations. So you do have to think of it that way... It is still a gas station. So yes they do have a full menu of foods that you can order, but they are just a step above Subway. Would I choose this place over a burger king or McDonald's? ABSOLUTELY. But is it rant worthy? Not quite. This location was huge and very very busy. You should prepare to have to wait in line to get gas and wait even longer in line if you need to use the bathroom. All of the staff we interacted with were super friendly. I do love the option to be able to order food on a mobile app or to use one of their kiosks to order. Plus they have a pizza steak hoagie which is a fun food choice that I've never seen before. Sry , But I have to give you only 2 stars. Great product and choices . Although service is terrible. The staff act like it's a huge inconvenience to wait on you. If your lucky to even find them. I needed help with the lottery machine. Well never got any help to come ,after I had to ask and response was " I don't know that thing" , oh wow you spent $$$$ how much. Non of your business what I spend. I'm sure the lottery office would be highly offended by this attitude. Also the reader was not working. Okay , can't check out. Go home to find out the machine ate a lot of $ - never again. Tried calling wawa to explain and no answer. Not wawa 's fault for lottery machine acting goofy. We love Wawa....but a little while ago for lunch today we had a disappointment. Ordered a turkey panini with some toppings, Swiss cheese and bacon. Hit Rt 1 south and started to eat.....ugh.....the sandwich was barely toasted, cold inside and no cheese and no bacon. We hope it was an anomaly, not an HQ financial guy cutting back quality. This must be a main stop off for vacationers or something because I pull in on Thursdays around 9am and the gas pumps are all filled!...

Last month on 10/9/20 on our way down to our vacation in Ocean City Maryland we stopped at this Wawa in Middletown Delaware to use the bathrooms. Since we are from PA we are more or less used to Wawa's, so this one was a standard Wawa. Its not bad and pretty convenient for travelers. read more

Not the best outlet of Wawa. Out of things, like bags for muffins, coffee sleeves. Not very clean. Looks like hordes go through here (they do, it's busy) but the staff is either inefficient or not enough of them to keep up. Also, not their problem, but people leave pumps to get a coffee and the pumps stack up with people waiting to fuel up. Location is amazing; right off the Rte 1 exit so easy to get to. read more

During my many road trips i try not to stop and eat because as a long distance driver i feel like that is taboo. You eat, you get tired and it slows the trip down. But for some reason whenever i see a wawa i hve to stop. And i try to avoid the sandwich ordering machine but alas i am weak. This trip i ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and the amount of fixins you can add to it seems like an infinite amount. These locations are heaven sent and im a sucker for them. read more

More downsides than upsides here... This is an "inconvenience" store at best. I visit this store a few times a week at all hours of the day and it's never a quick experience. It seems like those behind the deli counter are more concerned about talking to each other, rather than the dozen people that have been standing there forever waiting for there food. If you do escape the store in a timely fashion, your next task will be to not lose your life in their parking lot. Middletown's unruly drivers make the simple walk from the door to the pumps treacherous. No one pays attention and I highly doubt they care. There are plenty of other options in Middletown that will take your money and give you the service that you deserve! read more

This Wawa convenience store and gas station is the latest addition to the small but growing collection of Wawa stores iin Middletown. This location is a short distance off Route 1 and is convenient for a quick stop if you're heading down to the beach. Restrooms were still clean when I stopped by. They have all the usual Wawa salads, beverages, deli items, and made-to-order food. Parking is more than enough, even for a crowd, and gas prices are competitive for the area, although not the lowest in the state. read more
