Plenty of pecans, creamy fresh ice cream - rich hot fudge, thick gooey caramel and light and fluffy whipped cream. Costing them the star to make it a full five stars is the lack of an eat in area. While visiting family who lives in Delaware they recommended Bruster's. It's a nice small shop with a drive through, and you can also order at the window. I ordered the regular size cup, which the cashier let us know that we could even do two different types of ice cream, so I ordered sea salt caramel with New York cheesecake. It was yummy! It wasn't my favorite sea salt caramel ice cream I've ever had, but don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it! Everyone else enjoyed their ice cream as well. My mom placed the order and confused the cashier a bit as we meant to order 4 cups but received 3. The cashier was understanding and polite and had no problem fulfilling the rest of the order. Wow, what seriously great ice cream! As "old-fashioned" as it gets. So creamy and rich, I can only surmise that the "old-fashioned folks" were just down right decadent. Great place to satisfy your sweet cravings! Staff was very helpful and friendly. She did a fantastic job personalizing the ice cream cake for my wife's bday! The staff was amazing! My daughter and I stopped on our way from North Carolina to Pennsylvania. We ordered and went to pay realized my card was in my car and then quickly realized I was locked out of my car. The two young ladies that were working we super polite and even brought us water. For a dessert, I stopped by here for some ice cream after dinner. This facility is a walk up to order and a drive thru with no indoor seating. They do have a nice outdoor courtyard to sit in with some kid toys and table games. My ice cream was very good and at a reasonable price. I like this place and would be happy to return. read more

The base is creamy and dense with a pleasing dairy texture as one would expect from a product called ice cream. If you choose it, the waffle cone is crunchy and not too sweet. The serving is large. Came here a few weeks ago because my brother had an intense craving for ice cream and DQ was closed. Having been here in the past I expected the same delicious ice cream I'd always had. WRONG My brother was happy with his cone, but not being really in the mood for ice cream, and knowing that their 'small' is massive, I asked if there was anything smaller than their small. The girl taking our order looked at me like I was stupid, then rolled her eyes and said they had a baby size. Which I proceeded to order, BAD DECISION! What I got was was a disgusting stale cone, I'm talking like as stale as stale can be. It tasted like cardboard, and there was no ice cream INSIDE the cone, just maybe a ping-pong ball sized scoop on top. Had a great experience at this local Brusters in Middletown. It was extremely creamy and not overly sweet (I had coconut chip). My 18 month old daughter received a free baby cone of vanilla and devoured it. My husband had the mint chocolate chip and was also really happy. This is definitely the real deal!! Graham Central Station is the best flavor every! I also like Birthday Cake and Apple Pie flavors. I absolutely love this place especially the Middletown location. It has a beautiful outdoors seating area. One time I called just as they were making my favorite flavor and when I arrived they knew who I was, I got to speak directly to the owner who was extremely nice. I really try to order another flavor, I'm certain I will branch out and do it, but I get up to the window and out of my mouth without hesitation, "mint chocolate chip on a cake cone please"! It's just that good. The mint does not taste artificial. The chocolate is pieces of wafer not little hints. If you eat it in the winter time, when you are cold, you'll actually have a butter slick on the roof of your mouth.
