I love me some Wawa since I first discovered this SMCS (Super Mega Convenience Store) down in O'Town visiting the one near UCF. Fast forward three years and they are popping up all over Jacksonville. Yay for us because this is a one-stop shop of convenience at stupid low prices. Just silly... So while you're pumping my gas, I can walk inside and grab a handcrafted latte and a Bavarian Cream and also have the sandwich makers construct a Cuban and a hot Chipotle Turkey Sourdough to go. The customer service is way better than what you will get at any of the other convenience stores in the area. I swear I was greeted by 7 friendly employees at this location either telling me about a product or asking if I knew about another feature in the store. Kuddos to proper training! Heck, the girl who made my sandwiches even punched in my order for me on the touch screen. It's just crazy... For about $16, I left with two tasty sandwiches and a half dozen donuts. The entrances and exits into and out of this location makes total sense and there's ample parking for a rush of customers to find a spot. Thank God! And a dedicated outside seating area for Wawa-ians (?) to enjoy their purchases immediately instead of eating or drinking in their cars truly makes it a pleasant destination while traveling through O.P. These places are uniformly good. They're really big and have a bunch of stuff and the staff is always friendly. There is a good coffee selection and a good drink selection. They make fresh hot food and milkshakes Seems like they work pretty hard at keeping the parking lot clean and the facilities clean. The bathrooms seem to always be nice. The food is pretty good too. Gas stations are certainly stepping up their game these days. Gas prices are pretty decent it's worth a stop. read more

They have free air for your tires and the bathrooms, especially at this location are Clean, unlike most gas stop locations. The employees are all friendly, the store is clean, they have plenty of parking and the gas is on par with other stations in the general area. They were great to build on the site of the old motel because there is a traffic light which makes getting in and out much easier. There is also a side exit onto wells road. Ernie and I ordered from the kiosk screen with ease. We ordered a cappuccino, two soups, and a sandwich to share. We ordered for the bread to be toasted. When we went outside to enjoy our food, we noticed the bread was burned. I went back in to find about ten people waiting for their food. I was worried that the re-do might take a while, but a lady noticed me and asked me if she could help. I told her the bread was burned and she asked for a new sandwich to be made, with no toasting of the bread, as upon my request. I went to the ladies room and by the time I came back out they had already made the sandwich and brought it to Ernie. Wow is all I can say. The broccoli and cheese soup I had was delicious, Ernie liked his soup and the sandwich was pretty good too. I have been going to Wawa since they opened up in Tampa, FL. unlike the die hard fans from up North. So I guess, I am a bit of a newbie... but I totally get why they have such a fan base for sure. The stores are open 24/7, always clean and friendly staffed. Fresh coffee (their house blends are so good) I tend to make my own cup when I come in, because I have gotten used to self serve. If you want to fancy it up- hop on over to one of the many kiosks/ touchscreens and order one! If you are hungry , order up one or more of the delicious food offering they have and they do have a lot to pick from. They also keep hot breakfast sandwiches by the cashiers along with chicken bites, filled pretzels and cookies. My son loves them all. The stores have plenty of parking as well as seating areas for you to sit and enjoy your food and drinks. The gas is always pretty cheap the first couple of weeks after they open. They have plenty up pumps too. Squeegees and soapy water for your windows. I spotted that the air machine is free here... which is nice considering all the of the local stations now charge up to $1.50 for 5 minutes of air. I really appreciate that the coffee bar includes plenty of dairy options such as flavored creamers, half and half, almond milk, and non-dairy creamers at no additional cost. The prices are very reasonable for their drinks. The deli sandwiches are great. You can customize your items as you want. My only issue was I placed an order for a bagel with extra cream cheese through the app. When I went to pick it up, I saw the worker putting very little cream cheese, so I asked when she called my name if it did in fact have extra like I had requested, she lied to me and told me yes. I then found manger and showed the manager and asked if they could add more, she stated they couldn't accept food back once it was taken but she could give me a side of cream cheese. What a joke. Last night I walked in with my 12-yr old and went to the counter to check out. I was carrying a bottle of wine and my daughter was carrying a candy rope. We set them on the counter. The cashier told me, "I'm going to need to see both of your ID's." I was so confused. I said, "She doesn't have one, she's 12. This is my daughter." She said, "Ma'am, I'm not going to be able to sell you this." I asked why and she said, "Cause she looks older." I asked her if I should of left her in the car in the unsafe parking lot. I said, "So if I came in here with a little child you could sell to me?" She said yes. I said, "I have her passport to prove she's my daughter, do you want to see that??" She looked me square in the eyes and said, "No." I asked to talk to the manager, she told me she WAS the manager. This was so ridiculous that people behind me in line were laughing at this "manager". By far the worst Wawa experience I have ever had! I live out of town, and try to get a Wawa in any city I visit. We waited well over 30 minutes for our hoagies. My hoagie had ZERO of my toppings on it. No lettuce. No tomato. No onion. No hot peppers. No pickles on the side. No oil and vinegar. Literally was a hoagie that had mayo, meat, and cheese on it. They moved slower than molasses in wintertime. I'm afraid if I would have complained, we would have waited over 1 hour for it to be fixed. I do NOT recommend this Wawa at all.
