In the past six months, I returned Publix brand milk, four times, which spoiled a week before the expiration date. Many of the fruits Publix calls fresh, are frozen in the center and by the next day, turned rotten. I've returned oranges, pears and other fruits more than I care to mention. A favorite of mine is eggplant which is half rotten as it's being stacked on the shelves. Unforgivable!! Prices increased substantially as the quality of many products has gone out the window. The horrible reality is Publix isn't the only guilty market. As mothers shop, you can hear the word "no" repeadely being said to children mainly because the budget won't allow extras.

While in the new Publix on Cove Road my husband asked did they have ice cream cakes and they said yes, we make them to order. I never knew they did that! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with friendly smiles, and helpful people…read more Wandering down the aisles picking up your groceries you'll find someone who says hello and offers to help you find something. A gentleman who was stocking paper towels stopped what he was doing when I asked where to find an item and walked me over to find it. I actually have had to tell someone I don't want to pull them away, just tell me what aisle to go to. The fresh produce has very nice people who give you big genuine smile and say "good to see you again!". The meat section has such smart and helpful people who are willing to teach you. I questioned on gentleman about grinding my own meat and he showed me my options, told me what each would do for flavor. He was awesome! Just yesterday another gentleman helped me find a 7 lb spiral ham. There weren't any in the bin so he sent someone to look in back and then tracked me down with the smaller ham. So nice. I love this place. I appreciate how difficult it can be to serve the public but these guys got the recipe right. Highly recommend.

The first visit was where noticed a problem, there was one person in front of us and it took 14 minutes to get through the checkout because the one cashier struggled to figure out the POS. Today, we were called into three different lines only to be shuffled back to the original line after two different cashiers struggled to get the system working. I want to believe there's a problem with the system however, the process in place to train cashiers seems to have some real issues with effectiveness. We'll be taking a break for a while to see if they can't get this issue resolved as it's very frustrating.

When it was WESTAR it was not as clean but now that I believe it's new owners and is now BP it is organized and clean. Finding good workers is difficult now days but the lady at the front register is top notch friendly and efficient. I walked in one evening after work and she was mopping and cleaning up. The retro gas station…read more This is by far the best gas station that I visited. It still has that original retro look and feel. The gas station is small compared to others (of course), this one only has 6 pumps while normal ones, the bigger ones have over 12+ pumps. Love it, but not the gas prices at the moment.
