Great location for a Wawa. Came here to cool off with a cold beverage and was craving one of their amazing smoothies. Before I went inside, there was a sign at the door that indicated masks were required. Great first step during this pandemic and ensuring we all do our part in making it safe. I approached one of the kiosks inside and to my pleasant surprise, there seemed to be hand sanitizer at each kiosk. I ordered one mango smoothie for myself and another strawberry smoothie for my husband who was waiting in the car. After placing my order, I used the sanitizer and went to go pay for my order. After paying, my order was ready within 5 minutes. The beverages looked delicious. I also noticed that all the employees inside the store were wearing masks so great second step in helping to do their part. Only thing is I wasn't able to find napkins near the pickup area. Whoa, what a let down. Usually when going to any Wawa, it's always good. We came in for food since it's usually a better alternative to the place across the street. We had to deal with probably once of the nastiest people ever. Her name was Shakeerah. I could get past the lack of urgency but the terrible attitude towards everyone was insane. I can't believe that girl has a job still. She messed up our order and when we told her, she lets out this huge sigh and storms off then throws our food in the trash. We tried to let her know that she took the wrong food but she purposely ignored us. So instead of having to remake part of the order, she had to remake the whole thing. Which meant she was upset. I don't think she was ever told that a job can't be beneath you if you're unable to actually do it correctly. But she still seems to think she is above this job. While waiting for our order again, she was rude to this poor guy because she couldn't find his order. When we left with the food, they screwed up the sandwich and quesadilla by not putting the things I paid extra for. She gave me a bowl of cheese instead of Mac & Cheese. Plenty of pumps, easy / large parking lots, clean store with tons of options including fresh made to order food, and clean bathrooms. It really does show that gas stations can be nice and have a decent experience. This one is much like the others in the area. They have all the same amenities inside, like mac and cheese to order and just your regular bags of chips if you like that option! There are plenty of pumps and hardly ever a wait for them unless you go during a busy after work time, but otherwise pretty open. They are well located so it's easy to get in and out without trouble. Usually this wawa is ok super packed at the pumps. Tonight I went in to use the restroom and get a late night meal. I figured if the computers were on I'm good to go. As I am about to finish putting my order in a man asked me if I turned the computer on?... Due to the current hike in gas prices I thought I would save myself time and "gas" and give Wawa a call to find out how much their current premium gas was per gallon. All the other gas stations in the area had no problem giving up the information. When I called I was told it was company policy not to give out that information over the phone. I ended up going to Murphy's by Walmart, because even without a member card they had the cheapest premium gas at $2.91 a gallon for 93 octane. Before making my way on I4 I was curious to see what Wawa was charging and to my surprise it was the most expensive compared to all the other gas stations I called in the area, $2.97!!!! Plus their octane level goes from 87/89/92. They expect me to pay more money for 92 octane. I don't think so! I now understand their company policy. Great location! Just in the right part of town and very convenient. Today is their first day of opening so just about every uniformed service person in this area is here! They had a greeter at the front door and people to assist with using their brand new touch screens, everyone loves the newness of things. It was packed and very busy. The great part is the warmer next to the register or check out area where they have ready made breakfast sandwiches. I'm in a huge hurry so that was extremely convenient for me. I never have a bad experience at a WAWA station!! Wawa! Gas, snacks, beer, cold drinks, fountain drinks, awesome coffee, donuts, and a sandwich and hot food bar. My ONLY complaint with WaWa is I wish there were paper towels in the restrooms. The only option to dry your hands after washing is a forced air dryer, which does a great job but after washing my hands I then have to touch the door handle that the guy before me may have touched with his unwashed hands. If there were paper towels or perhaps if the doors opened out so they could be pushed this wouldn't be an issue. Here's my request to ALL places of business! Make the restroom doors open out!! As someone who first learned of WaWa years ago when I first started going to my friends' house on the jersey shore, I was stoked to find out they were expanding here in Florida. Like almost everyone, I was a little skeptical of ordering food at a gas station when I first started going. Don't be. It's not gourmet, but it's really good. And what's impressive is the quality and service seem to be standard across the board, no matter what location you go to. It may not be the healthiest, but my guilty pleasure is their Philly cheesesteak. I'd like to think their Pennsylvania roots have something to do with that. It is great they are doing so good on business but sometimes it is a bit hectic with it being so busy. I personally rather go to a gas station that isn't as busy as WaWa unless I'm wanting food from inside. All of the employees are always friendly and helpful, but there are a few that stand out, each and every time I visit: Deanna Raines Chris Cihpik Sherry Oglesby They are not listed in order of importance, as I think they are all fantastic. They are listed in the order I met them because, as I said, they are all simply the best! Deanna Raines - Coffee Bar - Deanna is always working; making sure that nothing runs out. The first time I met her I said, very quietly, "Awww, the French Vanilla Coffee is out". I honestly didn't think anyone heard me. She said, "Don't worry, I have you covered" and pulled up the empty urn and put a new one in it's place. She then proceeded to ask me what kind of creamer I used and ran over to make sure there was plenty available. Given this was the grand opening and the coffee was free, this was a huge deal, in my eyes. She is always prepared; always has a smile on her face and genuinely seems happy to help! I look forward to seeing her when I stop by in the morning and always try to seek her out to say hello since she is usually hard at work behind the scenes. Chris Cihpik - General Manager was the second excellent experience I had with the employees at this location. I met him on my first visit, as well, and he was a pleasure to speak with. You can tell the employees respect him and are happy to work for him. This has been a very hectic week with the grand opening and to have your employees so happy to be there and willing to help is a true compliment to his leadership qualities. He is seriously hands on and always willing to help. The store is immaculate and you can tell that he takes pride in everything he does. I am a General Manager myself and I know how important it is to set a good example for your employees. I don't think you could have a better person running your store and think he will go very far with your company! Last, but certainly not least!!! Sherry Oglesby - Cashier - Somehow Sherry seems to always be the one that gets me in line. In the beginning it was just luck, now I search her out. She is a pleasure to be around and I look forward to her serving me. She is always happy, smiling and willing to help. I have never seen her without a huge smile and a great attitude! She recognizes her customers and knows exactly what they want/need. This store has only been open a little over a week and I am sure she has seen thousands of people. It is very impressive that she takes the time to pay attention and remember her customers!! These 3 make me look forward to my daily visits (yes, plural). Worst manager ever Suzette was rude and unhelpful when I couldn't get the everything bagel with bacon cream cheese and egg. How hard is that? Well at this store it didn't happen. She had the audacity to offer me a old bagel they had setting under lights with other customers mulling through them. DISGUSTING SUZETTE. Not what I wanted. I unlike you do not settle for things I don't want. I will say that Lisa and Hanna wanted to help me and were very nice. It's a shame that Suzette is their manager because I would hate to see how she treats them when she would yell at a customer from across the store. Since I usually get gas here because it appears to be one of the lower prices for mid grade, and I was here at lunch time, My wife and I decided to try their sub. Pardon the pun but I found their subs were subpar. To me they lack the flavor and did not compare to subs I find at my normal sub shops ( Fire House and Jersey Mike's )Although they were less expensive, to me they weren't worth the price. Great market and a great clean, gas station. This is exemplary of what gas stations should be like. Clean, efficient, modern, and a great market. The gas pumps are clean, although there is often a long wait to use them. The market is clean and has a lovely selection of goods, hoagies, drinks, and snacks. The coffee, while not great, is good and definitely amazing by gas station coffee standards. It's only $0.99 for a 16 oz. iced coffee! For iced coffee! That's actually good! Although it probably has a lot of sugar in it. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. However, the service here is mediocre. This is because they have six registers, but only two were open! There was a huge line of twenty people for two registers. Either get rid of those other registers or find people to work at those registers. WaWa was built on efficiency, so it should live up to that standard. Overall a great, amazing gas station. I will drive out of my way to get gas at a WaWa, but this is even better since it's located right off of I-4. read more
