I've been going to our neighborhood Sam's club for over 2 years. Not once have. I had a bad trip when needing groceries or gas. I love that I can buy certain things in bulk, especially our favorite go-to foods. The prices are always reasonable compared to regular retail grocery stores. The app makes it easy to get in and get out of the store since I am scanning my food as I'm grabbing it. Once my trip is done I easily pay through the app and walk out. I can even buy food from the concession stand while I'm shopping so as I'm leaving it's conveniently ready for me to go. Paying for gas through the app is also quick. All I do is scan in the QR code and the pump is ready to go within a few seconds. The store is always kept clean. Ios are clear. Shelves are always stocked. What I really like is that they have a sample box in the store and depending on the sample you could get a nice serving size of a dry item. Or cleaning supplies. One other samples were the fabric beads and they gave a nice size mini bottle which could do three to four loads of clothes depending on how much beads you use. Honestly, Sam's club is a savior for groceries in toiletries. And I like that it's near our house. read more

This place has everything you can find a Walmart but in more quantities, this place is for people that can afford to spend a lot to feed an army because every time I come I spent more then at a regular store and only try to feed four of us. If you come here on the weekends forget about finding Parking or picking up your food or merchandise quick because this place is packaged on weekends,they do have a gas station also and sale gas to its members and also an automotive area if you need tires or oil change. They only things I like to buy here is stuff I can get elsewhere or big quantities of drinks. The lines to pay can also be very long but if you have the Sam's app you can scan your items and then pay after you are done, show your receipt to the employee at the exit line and snack on some goodies while you wait in another long line. read more

Searching on the internet for new tires for my wife's 2003 Jeep Liberty we found what we were looking for at both Sams and Discount tire. After reviewing each business, we determined that Sams was approximately $100 cheaper that Discount after installation cost. They also didn't charge for the 5 year warranty. I decided to use Sams and was glad we did. I made an appointment and they were able to get my vehicle in as scheduled. The tires look great. On Saturday July 19th 2025, at approximately 430pm I was checking out utilizing the "Scan and Go" option on the app that was pushed to me by your employees. Mind you I love the app, the idea of getting out so quickly was very brilliant addition. Today, I used the option to order food and skip the long lines that was accumulating for regular cash transactions. Mind you I ordered prior to arriving there in the section for pick up. There was a customer ahead of me that ordered hotdogs and pizza he was serviced pretty quickly. I was next and there was no one behind me. The employee who was a black older lady was in charge of running the line it seemed looked at me and turned around to look at the screen. I patiently waited and she proceeded to grab a cellphone device and stand in the middle of the kitchen for approximately 5 mins. She then pulled a thermometer and started to check the temperatures of the hotdogs by injecting this thermostat device. It seemed the device didn't work and kept asking the cashier who was pushing the cash transact line quickly and getting orders completed. She seemed to not care the scan and go line was backing up and this went on for another 5-7 mins. The lady who was making pizzas kept looking at the line and looking at her to see if she was going to do anything. What I found unsatisfactory is that she was checking these hotdogs while placing them close to her face and breathing on them and proceeded to put them back in the hot water. She did this to about 3 hot dogs and the cashier grabbed them and served them. I'm pretty sure that's a food violation, the hot dogs that were probed with this device should of been discarded. She kept doing her checking and did not pay attention to the scan and go line. I noticed the other line already cycled through its customers in line before I got there and had new ones. At this time the only male employee working in the kitchen appeared and proceeded to put on gloves and then grab a dirty trash can and place it under a counter he then grab food items. Which I'm sure that's cross contamination and he should have changed gloves. Now this is where it gets bad. At this time I have been waiting for more than 12-15mins it seemed. He came out to the window were I was standing and proceeded to to ask another customer who just got in line what her number was. She stated 502, I proceeded to tell him I was ahead of her and was ignored like he didn't care. I verbally raised my tone to voice my opinion and stated I was number 492. Customers next time also complained and were met with an attitude of not caring. I then thought to myself maybe they got an item that was easily obtainable but I noticed with the same unsanitary gloves he grabbed a hotdog and rolled it. I became very upset, I expressed my discontent with another cafeteria employee and wanted a refund. I was met with a blank face. I the proceeded to the cash registers and requested a manager, I was informed I needed to wait till they called one. After 3-5 mins I was told they were on break and that I would be refunded at the customer service desk where a manager should be present. I then took my family passed the exit doors and went and waited in line at the customer service desk. The female manager was the only management at the desk. I immediately requested to speak to a general manager or someone who is the highest position manning the floor. I was told she was the only manager for the day. This is hard to believe a regular floor manager was the only person running the store by themselves. I requested a refund and was told to follow her back to the cafeteria. I explained that I was not going to do that since I been wasting my time waiting for service, food and kept being bounced around. She proceeded to give me a 10 dollar gift card and state to go back and get my food. In that moment I informed her of everything that happened and that all I wanted was a refund and not a gift card. In all honesty I was given 2 dollars for my inconvenience and felt that was more of slap to the face than anything. I requested for the contact information of the general or store manager. I was not given their name or a form of contact information. I then proceeded to raise my voice so I had witness that I requested a phone number and name and was refused by her to be given that information. I tried to find a number of someone in corporate to be heard, I only found your email since I feel no one so far has taken my concerns in a serious manner. I know there was food violations, in justified waiting and treated like no one cared. This to me should be important in my opinion and addressed immediately. I feel this email will go nowhere and I may express my concerns to the food inspection offices that are local. read more

I feel like Sam's did a slight remodel. They moved this around and items in the middle aren't stacked up so high. All of this is pleasing to the eye. Sam's always has what I need and more and it is SUPER affordable. I like to buy my gift cards from here, if you buy gift cards a lot of times it'll be cheaper. Have been shopping at this Sam's for several years and usually enjoy the experience. Today, not so much! At 92 years old, the only way I can get around the store is on a riding cart. On arrival I found no riding carts available. The reason being that no employee was retrieving the carts from the parking lot. I had to search up and down the aisles to find an abandoned one. On check out, only one cashier had a check out line open. The sole cashier was engaged in trying to talk a customer into applying for a Sam's credit card. As the checkout line got longer, I hoped a second cashier might open another line, but none did. It has become standard practice at Sam's to have the customers must go through the self-checkout procedure. After today I can't wait for a Costco to open. read more

Arguably the worst Sam's in the Central Florida area. The staff here are hot f$&@ mess and full of apathy. Karen at the door is the worst. They stock of items is okay but inconsistent with brands and selections of products. You have to show your membership card to come in, and they will almost tackle you if you don't have it readily available on the way in. The customer service desk has a lot of "I don't know" if you ask anything. So no. Don't come here. Spare yourself. read more

How crazy would it be that, as a dyed-in-the-wool Costco fanatic, I ALSO sign up for Sam's? Mad - not? May not be that odd! See, we did a remod in our living room - got rid of the crap bookcases that were dead on delivery x years ago (you get what you pay for); we then saw these beautiful things at Costco that were pretty much precisely what we want! Alas, we pulled the trigger too late, unless we want to buy them online - good news is, it'll be delivered; bad news: it'll cost 43% more. So we got schooled by Costco - get it while the getting is good, or it's GONE, and it'll stay gone! As I drove up to Seminole Mall to return something, I thought: maybe Sam's would have it!!!! After all, these are such fierce competitors, if one jumped off a cliff, the other would be sure to follow! And if paying $55 membership means saving $340, I'd call it a pretty good deal. So I politely told the 'greeter' that I'm not a member but I'm there to look (but refrained from flashing my Costco cred), and she let me in. I hadn't been in a Sam's in, forever. They have updated quite a bit, and this one is VERY spacious (more so than my Altamonte Costco). Never mind that they carry many of the same products, but the pricing is often within pennies (I checked) Check out the photo on their menu: $1.50 hot dog with drink? Check. Smoothies, fro yo...check check check. That said, they offer a pizza with drink option, as well as family pizza option, neither of which is found at Costco. They also sell a cute little 500 c.c. 4-wheeler, which was on display outside. Their jungle gym choices (also see photo) are impressive - these things aren't at Costco, nor are the seemingly superior selection of office and home furniture items. But beautiful book case? UN-check :( I think I came away more impressed with Sam's than I thought I'd be. If I were a consultant at Costco, I'd counsel them to pay attention to the competition, instead of just thinking they can continue to be successful doing the same old. Their stores are beginning to age not-so-gracefully. I'd hate for my favorite retail merchant to grow obsolete. They jury is still out then. Perhaps the case could be made one day to belong to both with just one purchase - and if only there is a Sam's that's a little more convenient. read more

The store is well stocked. They have tastings quite often. The store is in clean condition inside. The parking lot is often littered. The carts are not picked up often enough in the parking lot. As for the employees some are very friendly and helpful, while others are not. It is almost always extremely busy and hectic. They do check for your membership at the door, which only slows down the flow of customers going in. They have the annoying cell phone sales people by the jewelry counter, which ask questions as you're walking by. But there is no one at the jewelry counter 99.9% of the time. Their meat and seafood is expensive and I avoid it. The bakery is very limited but you can order sheet cakes at a reasonable price. Getting the bakery employees to help you is not easy. It is freezing in the dairy and produce walk-in coolers. One needs to get in and out quickly. If you pick up your orders outside, they are pretty good about being on time. If you have an afternoon delivery, they have dropped the ball a couple of times. Morning pick ups are the best way to go. Get a plus membership, which gives you free shipping for most things but not all. This is the only Sam's Club around here for miles so I stick with it out of necessity. read more

Sams Club Optical When we moved to FL, in 1994 from the NE, I started purchasing regular progressive precsription glasses & progressive shades at Sam Club locations in Stanford, Altamonte Springs, Orlando, Ocoee, & Pensacola,respectively. The coatings on the glasses peel & bubble. I typically spend $750 for 2-pairs of regular progressive glasses & 2-pair of progressive shades. Sams Club convinced me I caused the damage by leaving my glasses in the car & the intense FL sun & heat damaged the coatings. So, in 2000 I started buying expensive hard cases & carrying my glasses in my purse. The glasses continue to bubble & peel & I never ever leave my purse in the car. It's a NE no no... We stopped to pick up some things for my girlfriend birthday dinner tomorrow and was doing a little shopping we looked up on Sam's club search And it came up on Google maps they close at 830. We were in the meat dept getting steaks and 3 times staff came up and said we need to go and check out now. It was 815 pm there Attitude was very snobby I don't care about customer service. I've had a Costco membership for 25 years And never had customer service like that at Costco I purchase the same membership this year and plan on canceling it. I finally went to check out there was a line and I spoke to a lady at the front counter and I showed her it 830 pm. She argue with me and said the website says 8 PM you can't go by Google maps. The sign outside Had there hours was not lit up and you couldn't see it because it was dark outside. I will be filing a complain with corporate office. Set a picture of the hours on Google maps. I normally shop at the Sanford location. I am an event planner. I coordinated a Valentine's party on Friday night. I picked up a three-tier cake on Friday afternoon. The cake was leaning. The baker told me all the three tier cakes lean. She also stated the cakes will never look like the pictures. I always order two tier cakes. I didn't want to believe all the three cakes lean. If so, why didn't they tell me that when I ordered the cake. Sam's took $20 off the cake. The cake should have been free. All night my quests asked me what happen to the cake. This is not my favorite Sam's club but if you go at the right time it's not too terrible. The best thing about this club is the instant savings where you can stock up on key items for several dollars off their normal price. For example, my heartburn medication is normally $13 but a recent instant savings promotion had it for $10. I like that they have some really great brand name items as well as their own store brands which are comparable. The couple of times I've gotten a fountain drink on recent visits the taste has been terrible. I don't know if they're using the wrong ratio of syrup to soda water, or if the machines are dirty, but it has not been pleasant. The other odd thing I've noticed is that their gas prices are 10 to 20 cents higher per gallon than the Apopka location. I can't imagine why there would be such a huge difference, read more

I place an order for 4 tires on Friday and made an appointment for Monday. They could not put the 4 tires on because they only received 2; therefore, they put 2 on and will make another appointment when the tire arrives, when...who knows. I parked my car at my house in Lake Mary and had to take my wife's jeep to West Palm Beach because I had school Tuesday. Now I have to drive back 180 miles and take my car to Sam's so they can put 2 more tires on. Worst Sam's Club I've ever been to! Lots of empty shelves. Customer service is subpar at best. Their meat selection is very little. And when I went to their food court, they didn't have any condiments at all for their hotdogs. Told me that if I wanted condiments for my hotdog I had to buy them. Kind of ridiculous. I was just in store and sign said 32.78 for Red Bull. I put 6 cases in cart, went to register and was charged $50 each. I showed manager the sign and they had mispriced the product . A supervisor agreed to give me product at price of sign but a manager stopped me at registrar and refused to give me the price tgat was their mistake. Sam's Club is the box store big brother of Wal-Mart. In most ways that I can tell it is just like Costco or BJ's. With a paid membership you can buy massive amounts of ketchup or paper towels for your big family or your business. We only use Sam's a few times a year for parties and holidays. I must say though that Sam's has the best cakes, by far, over any other commercial chain like Publix, Target, Wal-Mart or Costco. Asked for a glass to get some ice to deal with the water and they hand me a glass that's 3 inches tall. What am I going to do with that in the car? Then they hand me a slurpee glass. What's the deal here; no common sense? I just bought hot water from your cooler case and I can't have more than 5 ice cubes? Three will melt when the hot water hits them. Guess what's the next blow after I can't have a fountain cup to get ice for my hot water? No ice in the ice machine. I've been a member for 7 years and have never received a coupon book from these fools. The secondary tier of owners on my account get them, but not me, the loyal business owner. This newer location of Sam's Club is located off of Rinehart Rd, north of the 417 in Sanford, FL. It features a large club layout, liquor store and large gas station area. It's easy to navigate through the parking lot and thanks to automatic entry doors, easy to get in and out of the liquor store with your cart. There is a good selection of seasonal and regular club items, this location seems to get some of the "higher end" merchandise compared to the Colonial of Fern Park Sam's locations. However, on regular items, this location has higher pricing on several regular pantry items, so it's wise to price shop. Liquor store prices are the same and gas is always within a penny of the Fern Park (seminole county as well) location. read more

Sam's Club: We normaly shop at the Fern Park location (Central FL). We were in Lake Mary FL, and decided to shop there. We bought a case of water which was $3.68 which I thought was high. In Fern Park it's $2.98. I asked the checkout person and she just shook her shoulders. What it tells me is that because Lake Mary is a more affluent area, they feel they can charge more. That is BS.... if you have more than one Sam's Club in your area, check your prices.... Shame on you Sam's. read more

I don't mind shopping here and buying in bulk is nice. It is Sam's club, so I don't have high expectations for service or atmosphere. The parking lot is a little insane unless you are there on a off day when no one else decides to shop. If you are there on a busy day, just park in the back and avoid being run over by other cars or running over a pedestrian. The staff are about as animated as you might expect someone working in a concrete floored warehouse to be, but things are easy to find and you can have an inexpensive snack when you are done. read more

Employees were pleasant, at least the full-time ones. The contracted individuals there for product promotions are often rude (not always, but often to the point I don't even approach them anymore, maybe they have a good product, maybe not, I avoid them). Selection of product offerings has dwindled over the years which is disappointing. I've been a Sam's member for many years and wish it would go back to the friendly warehouse shopping experience. One of the treats my family likes is the Hot Dogs from the Deli section. Last 5 times we went there they had a sign "we cannot make hot dogs at this time".....hmmm, what? Now I question the food safety aspect. Are they not available due to lack of proper regulatory handling and cooking procedures? Not sure, don't want to assume, but do miss the hot dogs, smile. Retail has taken a hit everywhere, staffing, supply chain, etc. I give credit to the employees and thank you for being there to keep the doors open.
