Old school Wawa in the center of Main Street, Yardley Boro. Small parking lot in front. Larger one in back, but you may not know its there unless your local. Small footprint that still manages to provide most of the products and services of the latest supersized versions. I was there to pick up a chicken salad hoagie before moving on to my next appointment. It had been a while since ordering with their touch screens and found the shear number of pages I had to endure to be somewhat daunting. How many screens just for mayo?! Still, the sandwich was good with fresh chicken salad, but perhaps less so for the torpedo roll. Enjoyable, nonetheless. Extra cream cheese ??? I called the store itself because my sandwich was missing everything I put on it, they agreed to replace it after I called, put on hold for a manager, hung up on and called back to sort the issue. After the call I sit to eat my bagel, I open my bagel that was supposed to come with extra cream cheese and there's barely ANYTHING on my bagel. This Wawa has messed up several of my orders, and I live in a single mile radius of this Wawa, and I will call everytime they mess it up to let them know. As a note, no they weren't busy barely had 5-6 customers at a time in the whole building while I purchased. Called ahead for two sandwiches to take for golf game in Yardley. Sandwiches were on time and packed nicely. Food was fresh and delicious...even better than other WAWa locations as tuna was not runny for example, although now that I think about it, bacon was not cooked enough and not crispy. Even had to pull most of it off my sandwich. Hmmm. Need too have crispy bacon...not undercooked and raw. Staff was friendly enough and fast. Parking is scary as someone else mentioned. I parked in the back lot as I was kind enough to let an on coming car go ahead of me and they took the last spot in front. What is that saying...?... no good deed...? Oh well. A simple Wawa out in the middle of Yardley, there's some basic foodstuffs (bread, eggs, milk, juice, etc.) and a regular hot food counter. Definitely caters more to holding snacks and passersby items like maps and small bags of this or that. Not really a place to grab a meal unless you're really hungry and have no better option. Let me preface this review with the fact that I've loved this wawa for over 15 years. However tonight I came to get a sandwich after leaving the bar and was very excited to see the gobbler back on the menu. The problem is I received what was supposed to be turkey, stuffing and gravy, with basically no turkey (see picture). This is the most disappointing sandwich I've ever gotten. I love Wawa, but this Wawa is definitely subpar. While the flaws at this location are only highlighted when it is crowded, I would say it is crowded 90% of the time. The first thing one will notice when it is crowded is that there is no where to park. Then when you get inside the Wawa it feels very cramped with everyone standing around the ordering screens. This location never seems to have enough people on staff. Now I understand that when the Wawa is not crowded, it is much more tolerable; however, other locations have more parking, space, and staff to assist with the lunch and after school rush - something the Yardley Wawa has not seemed to pick up on. However, I will continue coming here to celebrate Hoagiefest and get one of the delicious hand-spun Milkshakes (although they have been unable to make them the last two times I was there [weekend of 6/16]) and patiently wait for another location to open up nearby. read more

Fast and convenient spot for snacks, drinks, sandwiches, lotto and newspapers. The subs are surprisingly good and they have a host of varieties you can choose from. Love the customization options too. Coffee is very good for a minimarket and is typically fresh no matter when you stop in. All in all, very useful spot. read more

Find it funny how my former schoolmate and Yardley to SF Bay transplant has the first review here. What would downtown Yardley be without WaWeezay? Seriously. It just keeps getting better and better. They recently upgraded, making this Wawa bigger, badder, and technologically superior to 7/11. I describe Wawa (in general) as a great place to grab a hoagie when nothing else is open. Super convenient. Cheap. Easy. It is what it is. Sad we don't have Wawa's in California. East coasters take it for granted. When I get off a late flight into Philly and food options are limited, Wawa is my first stop. Downside to Yardley Wawa is that it's situated next to a police station. Some lettuce fell off my hoagie onto the ground outside once time and an officer yelled at me like I had just committed armed robbery - demanding that I pick it up. Wawa is my go-to joint when I require a quick and easy meal. The automated ordering system is excellent, and the food is consistently good for the price. Unfortunately, I had an experience that will likely result in switching to an alternate location after 10+ years of frequenting this store. Most of the employees are pleasant, with the exception of a store manager that I encountered today. I attempted to use a manufacturer's coupon, and when the cashier was unable to enter it into the system, the manager came to the register, scolded me for attempting to use a coupon on a discounted product, and falsely accused me of "arguing with his cashier" when I questioned his rude manner. The cashier was actually very polite in our brief interaction, and quickly contacted the manager when she encountered the problem with the register. Hopefully Wawa will correct this situation, and train this manager to show the level of respect that paying customers expect. This manager embarrassed himself and the store in front of several customers. I did receive a free coffee because the buffoon didn't know how to void the remaining items in the transaction. read more

WaWa is open 24 hours a day all year long. Parking can be a little crazy at times, but it is well worth the trouble. It has the best dairy in all the land as well as good hoagies, snacks, bagels/donuts, and come to think of it....just about everything. Wawa is a great place for a quick stop for practically anything you need for a day on the road. But recently I feel this one has been lacking in greatness. Today we stopped here to get some sandwiches, and after ordering on the touch screen we double checked our order to make sure it was what we wanted. I went here tonight and had not only rude service but the worst sandwich I have ever tasted. There was once slice of cheese and one slice of ham, the onions were frozen (and were clear) and were not cut thin but in big nasty chunks. The young woman who took my order was an extremely anti social person. I started to ask about the sandwiches and she rudely cut me off and told me to put my order in the touch screen. A complete waste of my 5$ Yeah, I see the other good reviews here, but they must not have had the miserable staff working the shift on Sunday nights. This store needs a manager that knows when to open up additional cash registers. The line and the wait is too long and then when another cashier opens up the lines and people are scrambling to try and get out of there. Customers are fighting about who is next. I was just at the Chews Landing WaWa located in Chews Landing, NJ and I bought a pack of cigarettes, gave the clerk $20.78 for a $5.78 purchase. The clerk did not place the money on top of the till drawer and proceeded to tell me I gave him exact change. I should have received $15.00 change, but the clerk and management refused to do anything except tell me to call the police. The till should have been shut down and counted out to see if it was $15.00 over, but they refused to correct the problem. I will never shop at any WaWa and will make sure that everyone I know will not either until this problem is resolved. The staff at this Yardley is the best group of people. They are very friendly and fast at making your food or checking you out. The only exception is the older guy who is a manager. He never smiles and always appears to have an attitude. He acts like you are bothering him if he is behind the register and God forbid you buy something. It is funny how such a great and friendly staff can have such a mean and nasty manager. Cheer up older manager guy and enjoy life. I understand there are a few managers so to be clear I am speaking of the older guy, think he is the oldest manager. The parking lot would not be as bad as it is if people were better drivers. You will find about half of the people who go there can not drive and do not look when parking or backing out. You also have the 20% of people who can not park between the lines or you get the landscape trucks that park across 5 or 6 spaces sideways. The front lot is small but there is a pretty good size lot in the back. THERE IS PARKING IN THE BACK SO LETS NOT ALL TRY TO PARK IN THE SMALL FRONT LOT. There is a 2nd entry door for the back lot. You also get people who park in the no parking area in the front lot behind the cars parked in the parking spaces. The people in the parking spaces do not have enough room to back out when some inconsiderate person parks in the no parking area behind the parking spaces. Sometimes you can not find a parking space in the lot. This is not because there is not enough parking this is because people park there and go other places. You watch people park at the WAWA and walk over to the post office 2 doors down all the time. There is plenty of street parking in front of the post office. Sundays are the worst. There is a small church right behind the back lot of the WAWA. On Sundays you watch a bunch of cars park there and the people get out and stand in the middle of the parking lot before going into the church and leave their car in the WAWA lot for an hour. Customers show up and can not find a parking space being half the cars in the lot are from people who are at the church. WAWA really should get those cars towed. I avoid going there on Sunday morning now because of the parking issues the church people create. The police station is next door to the WAWA, with a large parking lot that butts up to the WAWA lot. We are talking take 3 steps and you go from the WAWA lot to the police station lot. Despite having a large parking lot 3 feet away the local police park in the WAWA lot when they go to the WAWA. No disrespect to the local police for they are all very friendly and nice, some of the nicest police officers I have ever come across, but please park your cruisers in the police lot. I have gone to the WAWA a few times to find the lot filled and 3 of the spaces with police cars in them. The police can park in the police station lot the WAWA customers can not. Would help the WAWA parking if the police would park in their lot and walk the extra 3 feet. Just saying. Police are also very close making it easy to give the church people parking tickets. read more
