I have been hunting for a new brazilian spot since moving here. After reading the awesome reviews, I scheduled an appointment. The scheduling process is all online and very easy. The pricing is very good for this area, $70 for a brand new/grown out brazilian and $50 for a maintenance. I needed the $70 for the situation I had going on, but if you use the First TIme Brazilian Yelp check-in coupon it brings it down to $60. The location is pretty tricky, my GPS brought me to a Planet Fitness. Since I did not want to go into Planet Fitness to ask about getting my lady parts waxed, I called Jennifer. She quickly responded and let me know Wax Chic Boutique is located inside of Salontra Select Suites. This is on the other side of the Planet Fitness. The place is actually filled with different salons and is very nice inside. Jennifer's suite is very clean and nicley decorated inside. There is no waiting area inside or directly outside of her suite. Once you pull up in the parking lot it is best to call her and she will meet you in the lobby when she is ready for you. She has a very pleasant and professional demeanor which means everything when your going to have someone working in that area. Jennifer's technique is amazing. I hadn't been waxed in ages and it was pretty quick with minimal pain. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. I found Jennifer here on Yelp yesterday ! I called to make an appointment & didn't receive an answer so I left a message. Jennifer called me right back but I missed her call. I ended up calling her later in the evening to schedule an appointment for today. She explained that her earliest was 10am, which fit right into my busy Saturday schedule. I called Jennifer when I was close do get an exact location. She led me straight to her. Jennifer suite is so chic indeed. The suite is decorated very nicely. It's mainly white which says how clean & meticulous she is. Now, about the service. At the beginning she gave me a mirror & had me describe how I wanted my bows to look. The wax temperature was just right & was quick & painless. She showed me the mirror again & asked if there were anything that she needed to fix. All was well. I tried calling because the appointment website was down. A lady picked up while driving telling me to book via online. When I told her the website did not work she insisted that it worked last night. She tried to give me another website over the racket on the phone next. She then went onto tell me she was stuck in heavy traffic and that she was late for her 11:00am client. The phone then clicked off. She never called me back later to book an appointment etc. later in the day. Very unprofessional. Late to her booked appointments and poor appointment booking process. Not worth it. First of all....Jennifer had the utmost respect for my vagina! She even TOLD ME THAT! I trusted her (and the many positive Yelp reviews) and allowed her to clean me up from the ROOTA to the TOOTA!! Jennifer ASSURRED ME that I wouldn't be in any crazy positions and even modeled some of the poo-na-nee poses needed which also put me at ease. She said that the pain would range from 1 to 5, and each time she was about to wax a new area she would tell me what level of pain to expect. This helped because I was less anxious. Great location off of 40 and located in salon suite that has nice ambiance. Building houses other beauticians so I great one stop shop. It sucks to have to call in twice to go through doors but even if Jennifer is servicing a client she buzzes you in. Sometime the guard or another stylist/patron will open the door. The building has a vending machine which is a plus. Jennifer knows and will work through it but the building doesn't have a wait area so you have to stand up outside of the suite. Jennifer is amazing!!! I went for a full Brazilian wax. I just moved to the Baltimore Area about a month ago and had a terrible experience at another facility. The place is a tad hard to find if you've never been there before. I was running a few minutes late because I was unfamiliar with the area. After taking with Jennifer, she recommended a Brazilian to let me experience what it's like having EVERYTHING removed and she promised my new hubby will love it lol Before waxing, she described how she would do it, how to breathe properly and even told me the level of discomfort to expect prior to each rip. Seriously, Phenix Salon Suites is full of great people. Jennifer is absolutely the queen of eyebrows. $15 might seem expensive for an eyebrow wax to some, but you truly get what you pay for. She has made her little suite an oasis, and I felt like I was in a room in a spa. The entire process took about 15 minutes, and she was super meticulous. She also uses hard wax, which is about 10x less painful and (as she explained) much better for your skin since it only tears away the hair. She even offered to show me how to fill in my eyebrows with makeup before I left! I think I've finally found my waxing unicorn and I will only come here from now on. Oh my goodness. I'm not from the area, but if I could take Jennifer with me wherever I go I'd do it in a heart beat. This was probably the best Brazilian I've ever gotten in my 3+ years of Brazilians. First of all, she took me in as a last minute appointment, which I was very grateful for (it was an emergency!). Jennifer was kind and helpful, and came and got me at the front door. As soon as I got there, she asked if I needed to first use the restroom, and gave me some wipes to clean up with. Her room is super cute, with the perfect distractions to help you forget that you're getting waxed (Family Feud and Jeopardy were playing on the tv- WIN!). She applied nice pressure after waxing, which really eases the pain, rubs some nice oils and lotions on you, and tells you when to breathe when she knows the area is going to be a bit sensitive. She even gave me some really great tips to avoid getting in grown hairs. When she was all done waxing, she gave me a mirror and told me to be picky- any spot I thought needed more work she would do (by the way, it was spotless). I was a first time waxer and I got a full Brazilian so I was super nervous when I got there.
