I was referred to Waxology by a friend before heading on my cruise. Free street parking can be found. Discover is an accepted form of payment with a 3% service charge. Service charge is also applied to gratuity so be sure to leave cash as the gratuity. Appointments can be made online or by phone call. Check-in is self service via the iPad. My scheduled appointment time was on-time. Beauty products can be purchased. Indoors was clean, uncluttered and filled with natural light. The service room I was taken to was hygienic. I paid $25 to have my underarms waxed. Total time it took from check-in to check-out was 15 minutes. After having my own personal esthetician for 15+ years who decided to finally retire, I appreciate the ease and efficiency of having Waxology nearby. read more

Every time I have been to Waxology I have had a horrible experience. Wax left on my privates after a bikini or Brazilian, anxious and overwhelmed new estheticians, horrible lighting above that is blaring into your eyes like your in surgery or at the dentist. I went back multiple times changing my esto each time to see if I would be met differently but for some reason I just kept running into the same issue. Only once I enjoyed my session but the esto ended up leaving waxology shortly after. I wanted to feel confident as a plus size and 6' tall women that I would be body confident as always trying to pour into myself for self love and walked away feeling insecure each time. I scheduled a full classic set of lash extensions for today and Athena did an incredible job , she was so gentle and focused on every detail and under my back there was a heating pad that felt like gel memory foam with just the perfect amount of warmth soaking into muscles that just relaxed delightfully sooo comfortable !! and .... my lashes look beautiful, full but still lightweight . I can't feel them but they look awesome ! This was my first visit and I had the most pleasant eyebrow wax and tint I've ever had! Lots of parking available. Very cute, minimalist decor upon entry. Athena was very friendly and I enjoyed talking to her. In the past after eyebrow waxings at other places I would normally have very red, irritated skin and sometimes spots of blood(I naturally have very sensitive skin and tough Italian hair and it happened so often I didn't think anything of it). I told Athena about my sensitive skin and she said she would put something on my eyebrows to help at the end(I forget what it was called). She was very gentle throughout. Very minimal pain while waxing, how amazing! My eyebrow tint turned out just how I wanted too. And my skin was the least irritated it has ever been and no blood! I have had inconsistent quality of service here. I have had wonderful brow and bikini waxes and I unfortunately have had my brows so over waxed that half of my brow was gone. I had told my esthetician to leave the ends of my brows alone because of sparseness from previous over zealous waxing at this facility. She ignored it, waxed the end anyway and said "I'm sorry, this brow did not recover like it should have." The end result: I have an eyebrow that terminates well before the corner of my eye. I didn't even bother to complain at that point. I just wrote it off as another waxing salon that puts up a front as an expert in their craft with little follow through. I would have had better and far cheaper care with my hairdresser who waxes on the side. So much for a specialty salon. I am beyond disappointed. read more

I had a lash lift done by Brandi and I love the results! Ive had lash extensions many times before but this is a much better alternative because it is cheaper and it lasts longer. My lashes are stubborn and point straight down, not to mention they are thin and not long. However, I was satisfied with the results because they open up my eyes while looking natural and I just add some mascara for more of a bold look. The process itself took 45 minutes and it was easy and painless. The salon was spacious, cute, and at a convenient location for me. My coworker highly recommended this place to me. I've never had my eyebrows done (I tweeze at home) or a wax, so I was excited. Mostly because I've always wanted to do it but didn't trust any place until my trustee assistant suggested it. Location is not the closest but I was willing to make the drive because of all the high rated reviews. I was in awe when I got there, such an adorable interior and overall vibe, The girls there were very cute, friendly and professional. Oh and did I mention the text confirmation I received after booking an appointment? Loved that! The bathroom is so luxurious, never seen tampons out in a basket for free to take haha but I also noticed complementary makeup removers. I know what it is because it was labeled but I never use wipes, I always wash my makeup off. I have also received facials and never had to worry about prepping my face because they do everything necessary. This case was different. My face was a bit oily and I had makeup on both coverup on skin and pencil on eyebrow. When laying down for the wax and dye, I was surprised to see that the lady went straight to work, so I mentioned to her that I did have makeup on and assumed she was going to take it off for me, she said that wouldn't be a problem and continued to dye my eyes-brows/wax. Okay... again fist timer I guess this is how it goes with this procedure, so I trusted her. I took a look after, the lights were very bright so they looked fine. After coming home and washing my face off before bed I realized how bad the job was, surprising not great. I was disappointed for paying $50 and complained to my co-worker the next day. She agreed that they didn't look great and something was wrong when I told her about my experience. Her eyebrows were perfect!!! She said her lady did it completely differently, cleaning, brushing and trimming her eyebrows with scissors before the wax. I was like whatever forget salons, such a waste of money no wonder I haven't gone all my life. (Very disappointed) so I tweezed out the rest from home and forgot all about it until a follow up text came through from the appointment confirmation text asking to rate my service, 1-10, I replied 2. I received a call a day or so later asking me to explain. Lady was very nice to me and said that she misunderstood about the makeup thing and offered me a free touch up, I told her I already did it myself. So she said I can come back and do it again for free in a month or so whenever my hairs grow back. So I'm excited to do so and update my ratings to 5 Star, because I feel like this place is worth it if you know how to prepare properly. Update: got in for my second appointment, service was great. I am satisfied now and will be back for an eyebrow tint. read more

Booked my appointment right away since they had nothing but good reviews. & let me tell you .. IT WAS PERFECT! I had an appointment at 1:30 and I was running 5 - 10 minutes late so I called to let them know if they can still accommodate me or maybe change my time if available & they actually waited for me.
