The owners are wonderful and very accommodating to film productions. The have a wonderful saloon for interior and exterior filming shots. They have a larger area from camping that can accommodate large motor home and mobile trailers for location filming productions. They have the facilities for barbecue and grill for craft and food services and tables for enjoying a meal outside or inside. I recommend that if you filming a western to come out an check this location to see if it fits your needs. This a a location that can be used for anything that can be imaged. Art festivals, reenactments, live history, car and motorcycle shows.

What is so fun, is there is a local couple that have bought the place and are working on the place left and right! I love when local folks re-invest in their believes! Fred Harvey immigrated from England and founded the "Harvey Houses", a business that focused on…read morecleanliness, service, reasonable prices and good food with a touch of elegance. In 1914 the Harvey House in Brownwood was added to the Santa Fe Depot and restored in the 1990's. The uniformed "Harvey Girls" would serve up to 700 people at once in the large dining rooms. They lived in the top floor of the building with a typical bedroom restored and on display. Tracks behind the structures are used today with freight and passengers passing through on a regular basis. It is free and I recommend a visit, very interesting.
