Had some business in Comanche to take care of ... yes I know very small town.... Who has to go to Comanche?!? I was with a friend of mine who had no idea this awesome little spot was even around. From the time you drive in to the property you feel like you are being transported to a whole different place. It is absolutely beautiful. We were the only ones there and it was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the birds and beautiful scenery while we had our wine. I ordered a glass of their Tempranillo and my friend ordered the Comanche Rose. Both were absolutely delish. We were greeted at the door and she was very knowledgeable about all the different wines they had. Which is great because a lot of times it doesn't happen like that. This winery is amazing. We have gone off and on for a few years. The wines have received many medals because they are so good. I was a member of a neighboring wine club but I leave half the year and they couldn't store my wine. Brennan said no problem! They will keep mine wine until I return. We had a charcuterie board and it was really good! The people working at the winery are top notch! The ambiance is great. Brian was in the tasting room and Marsha called me the next day after signing up for the wine club. read more

Brennan Vineyards is a small winery that has great customer service. Love the down to earth folks here! In Comanche Texas, this little vineyard is wonderful! Their wines are just plain fun, great prices and spectacular flavors. They have reasonably priced wines that you can sample from their tasting room. Love the fact that they will help guide you through a tasting, from wine and chocolate to educating on the paring of different wines. I have been to a number of their events here from simple tastings to charity event; they have also a number of dinning events that have been off the chart. We loved everything about Brennan Vineyards from the atmosphere to the wine selection. We found a cozy spot to taste test all their different wines, our favorites were Buffalo roam and Comanche rose! This is a VERY rare gem vineyard in west Texas. In my opinion this place has not received the well deserved spotlight in the culinary world. I am not an expert in the material but I know quality when it is served. Texas has come a long way evolving into a promising gastronomic destination. Here at Brennan Vineyards I've found undeniable prove of that promise. I came for few days of relaxation and decompression from the big city with my girlfriend. And to be completely honest I was really convinced that it would end up in a deception. Wrong! Since we crossed those doors everything change. A really warm welcoming and great service from the beginning to end were the spotlight of our trip. We went for a simple tasting, nothing more. But it was very surprising to me to find out great selection of wine that we experience here. We left with two exquisites bottles of wine that accentuated our experience here. This would be a great place to hold an event. This is a stop on the Way Out Wineries trail, and the selection is pretty good. The tasting room is very spacious, which was great, since there were quite a few people sampling the wines offered by Brennan's when we were making our tour. There was also an additional building which was even bigger than the tasting room that looked like it could be used for events as well. It was not the wine cellar, as that was in yet another building. Out the back of the tasting room is a magnificent view of a pecan orchard along a quaint creekbed. This is a wonderful place for a leisurely Saturday. read more

We drove out to Comanche yesterday for a spontaneous little road trip from Abilene. We LOVED our experience at Brennan Vineyards. It was our first wine tasting ever and we learned so much. We also ordered a cheese and meat platter which deliciously complimented our wine samples. We each chose 6 different wines to try and it came out to be about 2 glasses of wine each. I personally loved the Comanche Rosé and the Portejas the most. So delicious. We brought home a bottle of the Portejas. A special Texas only wine! We will definitely be back, and with friends! read more
