If they tried this in Texas, they would have been shot on sight! But this is Calif. they would have just had to get a good ass kicking instead.

Property taxes were…read morecalculated/prorated on appraisal years old and with a owner homestead exemption which put the taxes at an extremely low level (I was buying home from a bank so did not think of a homestead or old appraisal). Did not inform me of those situations and property taxes came in almost 3 times what they said. Refused to do anything saying I agreed to their numbers when we closed. I did sign closing papers, but I would expect the Single Source to have done a good job in their research and disclosed that there was a homestead with an out of date appraisal used to calculate/pro-rate taxes. The owner has to disclose lead paint, flood zone, asbestos, etc, but closing company doesn't have to disclose using out of date information. Let the buyer beware and don't trust their calculations is the lesson learned from Single Source.

Bobby West was our realtor to sell our home and help us find our new home. We chose him based on…read morehaving several 5 star reviews. After our experience, we questioned if they were all real. Our home was listed, and wanting to sell we decided to put the price at the lower end of his recommendation range, trying to ensure it would not sit. Within 4 days he wanted us to lower the price by $10,000 because of only 2 showings. We did not feel great about this and felt this was too soon, but he pushed, so we agreed to lower by $7,000. Within a week we had 1 awful offer and one for asking. We accepted the one for the asking price. Now it was time to find our new home. We picked a day we could both get off work. He said he couldn't show us houses that entire day because he was taking his 2 dogs to a grooming appointment. We found our home through a different realtor in his office. Bobby made the offer and it was accepted. Here's where things take a turn. He said he took care of our earnest money going where it needed to go. He didn't. He told us he got permission from our seller so we could move in up to a couple days early. He didn't. We told him when our movers were coming and he was pushing to have the sellers do our walk through at the same time our movers would be moving our belongings out of the home. Everything was in writing via text messages. When the messages were copied back to him, he spun out of control. Messages became rude and unprofessional on his end. We didn't know how to respond to him. We decided to have another realtor from his company intervene. John Perry stepped in and was very professional and completed the rest of the communication and tasks. We would not recommend using Bobby West as a realtor.

Scott guided us through he whole process was very patient with us and explained everything without over explaining. He helped us at every step of the way was always quick to reply and easy to contact and kept us informed. Scott also had great contacts through him he helped us pick a quality mortgage broker, home inspector and everything else we needed for the process. Scott was also extremely knowledgeable about the houses we toured and was able to point out things I never would have noticed or known to ask about. He was able to adapt as we figured out what kind of houses we were actually interested in and guide us to more like what we wanted. We toured a lot of houses and made two offers in our Journey and Scott was reassuring communicative and effective the entire way. Every weekend he would set us up to tour homes with an itinerary and a plan also including and getting us information on homes we found ourselves that we liked. Scott was a great Value as a realtor but more importantly to me he was just a very good person. I felt like i could trust him to actually have mine and my Wife's interests at heart. I never felt pressured by him and the man knew how to make us feel comfortable in the strange situation. He was easy to talk to without it ever feeling awkward or like an obligation even on our 10th or 12th house toured. He was fun to talk to while keeping us on track through all the tours and making good use of our time. He helped us weigh the pros and cons of the places we visited and helped us understand everything through his knowledge and experience. I'd highly recommend this group and Scott in particular if you are in the process of buying a house.

Coming…read morefrom a real estate family, I watched family members who have now passed on act with respect, empathy, professionalism and who worked for their client. Bonnie did none of these. In a world of 6+% commissions, one would think an agent would strive to earn it. We were wrong. Selling a home is stressful enough. We hoped to feel that our own agent, Bonnie, was on our side. She wasn't. She simply wanted the sale. We basically had to communicate with her assistant and other stable workers that she seems to have working on her funny farm. "Fiduciary " is not a word in her vocabulary. When the buyers asked for unreasonable things, she responded "well, I'd just give it to them". Basically, we were all alone in this process and could have hired just about anyone to do the job she did. The list is too long for a review to cover all of the "OMG" moments along the way, I would highly advise against using her. There are plenty of options out there. She may have a billboard, marketing, and a cute dog. But I have felt a more genuine feel buying a used car. Seller beware!

I'm trying to do my due diligence and prevent nice people from being duped so please take heed to the warning. I left my review on google and on Aegis' yelp with the mt. washington location, but I noticed that this Aegis yelp page also leads to the same website so they have to be in union. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THEM NO MATTER HOW NICE THE APARTMENT SEEMS YOU WILL REGRET IT. It all started with a nice viewing of an apartment that seemed REALLY NICE & affordable through (pics were available through ShowMojo before i went to visit in person). Just to give you brief insight they are awful at communication, they stay in breach of the lease, and they are non-compliant never caring about you as a tenant. I came home to a roof that completely fell destroying furniture and everything not even a month within moving there, and I was transferred to their answering service with people who cant even speak English, mind you I had to find a hotel to stay in! Your housing should be the last thing you're worried about; there has never been a month that I've worked with them since living here that has been easy going or without problems. This is literally the worst company I've ever dealt with. To throw icing on the cake yesterday one of the managers Mike Russo, left me a voicemail informing me that they would no longer be managing the property which I am living in, so they've completely washed their hands of me and all the problems they NEVER FIXED. I have had to miss days of work to appear right on site unannounced in Mt. Washington, because they never answer the phone, it always go to the voice answering service they outsource. DO NOT LEASE WITH THEM i repeat DO NOT. You WILL regret it! They will seem extra nice and then they will completely abandon you once it comes time for you to get something. OH YEAH, each of the tenants have different leases, so I'm fortunate that I ask questions because they tried to change the rent prices on me, OH and they sent me a bill for sewage, water, and trash and it clearly states in my lease that the landlord is responsible for this. I would have paid it like my neighbor, but I immediately emailed them (remember they don't answer their phones) and asked why I was receiving such a bill in the mail. I was told oh that was a mistake, disregard. WRONG they tried to get over on me. I already heard about such vices through my neighbor, she has received bills every month and they lied and told her that everyone is responsible for water, sewage, and trash. I told her not I and I also informed her that they blatantly lied to her; she cant do anything about it b/c even though they verbally told her they would cover these things it's not checked off in her lease. I could go on and on, please feel free to inquire I will answer any questions, but whatever you must do DO NOT DO ANY RENTING WITH AEGIS REALTY, THEY ARE AN ABOMINATION. (this is just a high level overview of their fradulence I haven't even gotten into the in depth details, so just imagine.....)
