I'm giving Home River Group 1 star because there wasn't an option to give them 0 stars…read more Home river group is the WORST property manager I've ever dealt with in my life. And possibly the worst businesses I've ever dealt with. Its easier to get things done with the DMV than home river group. I moved in and it took them 6 days to get the water turned on... the water. be ware of utilities. Do a 10x more thorough check in your walk through than you usually would. Take off your shoes and walk through it like you actually live there. I didn't do this and afterwards I found screws and nails sticking up through the stairs and punctured my foot on it. Don't run the water in the faucets for 30 seconds. Run it for 10 minutes. I found out after moving in that the water pressure sucked. Confirm they have the keys before moving in. They had the keys to the house but not my detached garage upon move in day -- after the movers had dropped a bunch of heavy possession off in front of my garage. I couldn't move them and they were stolen in 12 hours. In short: DON'T TRUST HOME RIVER GROUP. They don't check your place before you move in. They pay some third part to do a super fiscal look. They are slum lords. They'll paint stuff to make it look good for the photos in the listing but anything functional they don't care about. Feel free to boycott heir company entirely. I'm 30 days in and I'm already planning to move out.

We had two houses with them for a few years and the best word that I can use to describe this company is negligent. If you want to have to do a lot of work and lose a lot of money, hire this company to manage your properties. There does not seem to be anyone in the company who cares in the least about what they do or who seems to be competent. We're still looking for that one good property management company in Pittsburgh but this company is not it. I would give them a 0 if possible

Arron Thomas (412) 253-2343 who is the Acquisitions Manager (keep in mind "the manager" for later in the review) arrived to give us what we considered to be a very fine offer on our home. As we were looking to see outright and looking for a new home, the offer was outstanding. Aaron stated it would take up to sixty (60) days to close. No problem at all with that. It would give us time to find a new place. But he stated go ahead and start there process so you're ready to go when its time. In the next few days, got pre-approval set up for the new mortgage, got a realtor and started the process of looking for a new home. All along keeping Aaron informed of progress as he requested so everything would keep pace. Over this past weekend we actually were Blessed enough to find a home we fell in love with and put in an offer. This past Sunday we found out a substantial counter offer was made which we couldn't govagaunst so we lost our chance at that home. THANK GOD looking back that we lost out on the house and here's why. On Monday (yesterday) I contacted Arron to let him know our stratus again as requested. No response. Was contacting him as the Realtor needed an "Intent to Purchase letter" from 5 APG since we weren't selling through a Realtor. Figuring Aaron was busy, OI again called last evening. No response. This morning (9.23.25) I emailed him. No response. This afternoon finally made contact via phone. I explained why I needed and Arron became very vague and withdrawn with his responses. He said he would call me back this afternoon as he was on the road. I told him no problem and would talk later. At this point, with lack of response over the past few days and his vague demeanor just today I began to let my mind wander that something was wrong. I chalked it up to being stressed over working so hard tovfind a new home and keeping everything straight. As of 430pm today Aaron finally called me back. I could hear in his voice something. wasn't right. He went on to babble over how his "Team" looked over the offer again today stating he would not be able to uphold the original offer. He went on saying how the market has been so bad over the last quarter and they are having a hard time selling properties and yada yada yada. I then asked him then, ok what is the new offer. He stated they were withdrawing any offer because of the market. I asked Aaron Thomas why he just wasn't upfront with me 1a week and a half ago, having us jump through all we have gone though because they were going to buy the house. Again he started with how bad the past quarter has been. Keep in mind earlier in this long winded review I started he was the Acquisitions Manager.. MANAGER? Please tell me how the Manager, the man wholes this group wouldn't know a week and a half ago that he couldn't make an offer and abide by it? Soooo the market crashed in a week and a half and they can't sell any of there houses? Yeah ok then. THANK GOD as I said before we lost out on the bid we placed as we would have really been screwed due to the ineptness of 5APG. Bad enough tovscrew with peoples emotions but to possibly screw with their livelihood and hang a home to live in is inexcusable!!!! SHAME ON THEM, SHAME ON AARON THOMAS the AQUISITIONS MANAGER at 412-253-2343. Good people reading this, know this was long winded because I'm looking out for you since 5APG will not. I wouldn't't want to see anyone go through this and possibly end up in worse shape had they actually settled on a new home. I will make sure this review gores out to every outlet I can get it to.

I would like to share my experience with a listing agent at this company and the reader can draw…read moretheir own conclusions regarding the integrity of the listing agent. On a Monday morning, our realtor submitted to the Frontier listing agent an offer on a townhouse. We were told that we would receive a response from the seller within a two day period. Two days later, Wednesday, our realtor received a message from the Frontier agent that the seller had a death in the family and needed to extend the deadline by a couple of days. Two days later, Friday, the Frontier agent hadn't contacted our agent with a response from the seller regarding our offer. Therefore, that Friday evening, our agent attempted to contact the Frontier agent. Being unable to talk with him, our agent left a message. Saturday morning at 9:00 am, the Frontier agent contacted our agent and informed him that the property had been shown and the people were making an offer. Therefore, we would need to give him our best and final offer by 2:00 that afternoon. We met the four hour deadline, and as one might guess, ours wasn't the highest offer. I wonder why that would be the case.... Feeling suspicious about the events that week, we made a few inquiries. The seller did in fact have a death in the family. Coincidentally, on Wednesday, the day we received the request for an extension, an appointment was set up to show the townhouse. Coincidentally, the townhouse was shown on Friday, the day we should have heard from the Frontier agent about our offer. Saturday, the Frontier listing agent bullied us into making a blind offer with a four hour deadline. We wonder, did the Frontier agent inform the seller of our initial offer? Why was there never a response to the offer? Why was activity not suspended when we were asked to suspend our process? What was the intent to have our best and final offer in four hours when we had accommodated them over a five day period? I believe the Frontier listing agent's conduct to be, at best, unprofessional bordering on unethical. This Frontier listing agent boasts of himself and his team on his Greater Pittsburgh Real Estate blog to have high standards of professionalism and customer service/satisfaction. I've drawn my conclusion about him. I contacted Frontier's broker to register a complaint about this agent. Coincidentally, the broker is the listing agent's father. The reader can probably draw their own conclusions.
