My family and I relocated to Wayne County. My son was enrolled in the elementary school. I was told that it would be 10 days for him to get a bus. It has now been 35 days. He was given the bus number but have not been out on the physical bus. This is inconvenient to a lot of parents that trying to make a living and work full time. I also applied to be a substitute teacher in the Wayne county district. I done all the onboarding and paid the $25 for urine test. When my background came back, I was called and told that a misdemeanor that I had 19 years ago needed to be explained. I went back into the application to explain it only to be denied employment because of a past charge. By the way I'm already employed Subbing in another county and loved by all my students with zero issues. This school system needs re evaluation and better guidelines. They are definitely losing great workers. Hopefully this review reach the news. read more
