The Workers' Educational Association describes itself as the largest voluntary sector provider of adult education courses in the UK; its classes are open to all adults aged 18 and over. They run well over 100 courses every year in the London area in a wide variety of subjects ranging from creative writing to how to use your computer. Tutors vary, of course, but the general standard is carefully monitored - I've not had many bad experiences over the years.
