Unfortunately, none of these promises have been fulfilled. Staffing has been a constant issue. The promised ratio is routinely ignored, and there is rarely any consistency in caregivers. Teachers rotate constantly, and on several occasions the individuals filling in were not teachers at all, but maintenance or housekeeping staff. When asked directly, several attendants confirmed they do not have early childhood development credentials. This level of turnover and lack of qualification is deeply concerning. While I have met some team members who are caring and well-intentioned, positive attitudes cannot compensate for systemic issues and unmet commitments. At the cost charged, parents deserve reliability and transparency, and sadly this school has not delivered that. For this reason, I no longer feel comfortable entrusting my child's care here. Despite several months of attendance, there has been no observable progress in learning or potty training. There is no structure, curriculum, or evidence of intentional teaching. The food offering was another major misrepresentation. We were told meals and snacks would be freshly prepared; instead, children are regularly served prepackaged food. Cleanliness and supervision are the most alarming aspects. The facility often smells strongly of feces. On multiple occasions, we entered classrooms to find babies crying and clearly in need of diaper changes, with no staff attending to them. In one particularly disturbing instance, a soiled diaper appeared to have been left over an entire weekend, resulting in an overpowering odor. During the second week of January, I formally communicated my deep disappointment and my intention to remove my son from the school effective in February. I was informed that a 30-day notice was required. Even so, the concerns that led to this decision were never addressed or corrected. When enrolling my son in a new school and explaining our negative experience and clear expectations for quality and care, the very first question we were asked was: "Is it Crème de la Crème?" That alone speaks volumes. Crème de la Crème's reputation precedes them, and it is clear that we are not the only parents who have reached this conclusion. Other parents have already made the decision to remove their children from the school. This school is expensive, and parents are sold a vision of high-quality care, professionalism, and nurturing attention. What we experienced was the opposite: chronic understaffing, unqualified caregivers, serious hygiene deficiencies, and completely unmet developmental needs. I truly wanted this school to work. Instead, it has become an extremely costly disappointment, and I strongly urge other parents to thoroughly research and ask very specific questions before enrolling their children.

She helped a black child who was struggling with a backpack over his winter coat. Then, she did the laughing "chilly" dance with another much younger black child, perhaps a kindergartener or first grader, who was racing inside to escape the cold. Mrs. Deruki greeted two Asian sisters on their way in the front door and waved at a group of Hispanic siblings trekking down the sidewalk. Everyone was smiling, children and adults alike. As I witnessed all this from my car, I couldn't help but think about the review complaining about NDA's lack of diversity. This is not an all white school like so many other private schools in Georgia. In my child's class alone, there are Hispanic families, Asian families, mixed race families, and black families. I want my child in a school that welcomes all races and ethnicities, and honestly, that has been my experience at NDA. I cannot speak for other parents who may feel differently, and I feel sad for the mom who felt like her daughter's needs were not met. But, there must be more to that story that was not shared here on Yelp. My fear is that negative reviews calling NDA racist will scare away the very families that NDA wants to welcome to its community. Please don't be afraid. My daughter's experience at NDA has been wonderful. The academics are rigorous and the expectations are high. She has not loved every single teacher, but some teachers are adored, deeply. And that's life, isn't it? Persevere, learn, grow. Notre Dame Academy is not a perfect fit for every student, but my Colombian American daughter loves it, and she is thriving.

We thoroughly researched and toured several schools before enrolling her at THMS in April 2023. Mr. Amir, the former owner, was a great leader. Ms. Shireen, the current head of school, is equally wonderful. Despite facing challenges like every organization, the school has experienced positive transformations. Ms. Shireen, Ms. Uzma, and the incredible teachers have prepared our children for kindergarten. There's been an increase in open communication, and more visibility into the curriculum. The school offers fun activities during school hours and some after, and they always include parents and families whenever possible. Our daughter has cherished every teacher, including her afternoon teachers during the extended day program. We haven't experienced any harsh treatment, thankfully. While it's understandable that we might pick her up sweaty from the playground due to Georgia's hot weather, I don't expect teachers to keep all the kids' shirts tucked in or wipe their faces constantly. If that's the case, I'd provide face wipes and leave a note for the afternoon teachers. We've also never picked her up wet because they always help change her if she has an accident, even if she spills water on her shirt! We provide change of clothes and they bag up the wet clothes for us. I deeply respect Ms. Shireen's challenging job. She remains positive and I always see her at school with a smile on her face. Montessori philosophy doesn't sugarcoat developmental truths, and Ms. Shireen and the teachers must tell parents where their kids truly are. They spend upwards of 40 hours per week with them, unlike many of us. I appreciate their hard work and am excited to see what our daughter learns in the next two years.

She would often come home with her clothes soaked or improperly dressed after using the bathroom -- shirts not tucked in, pants half pulled up -- showing clear signs of carelessness. Her face was frequently red when we picked her up. At first, we assumed it was from face paint or playing, but after reviewing camera footage, we realized it was actually from how harshly the teachers were wiping her face. This is completely unacceptable. The food handling practices are also alarming. I personally witnessed a teacher carry five chicken nuggets from the kitchen to the classroom in her hands, even though she was wearing gloves -- no plate, no tray. When serving the food, it was literally tossed onto the children's plates with no care or kindness. Most upsetting of all is the teachers' overall tone and treatment of the kids. The environment is cold and impatient. I witnessed one incident where a child was crying loudly during mealtime, and the teacher yelled at him, grabbed him, and forced him to sit on the floor simply because he was playing with his chair. That is not how any child should be treated, especially not in a school that claims to follow Montessori values. Considering how expensive this school is, the lack of care and compassion is unacceptable. We were willing to sacrifice our hard-earned money for what we believed would be a safe, nurturing, Montessori-style environment. Sadly, what we experienced was the complete opposite. When I brought all of this to the attention of the school director, Shireen Ali, and we reviewed the camera footage, she showed zero empathy or concern, even though everything I described was clearly visible on the footage. Her only solution was to transfer my daughter to a different classroom -- nothing more. That's not acceptable. These teachers do not seem properly trained, and honestly, it doesn't appear that anyone on staff is actively monitoring those cameras unless a parent specifically asks. We ultimately withdrew our daughter because we no longer felt safe leaving her in that environment. I'm sharing this so other parents can make an informed decision -- what looks good on the surface at this school can be very different from what actually happens behind the classroom doors.

I ask her everyday what she thinks and she never has a bad thing to say. They learn different things on a weekly basis. We're only on week 3 so I can't really comment on the learning aspect. They have optional internet monitoring. You pay extra for it if you want it. It's not the best but it's cheap. You can't watch the video on a MAC or on a newer 64 bit computer so you better have an old one. Luckily my father had one. :) The video you see is in one corner of the room your child is in and that's all you get. But to be honest, its okay to check in every once in a while. In my opinion you shouldn't be glued to the video at home anyway. You should have a little trust.
