Without having received a promotional card the mail, I never would have known about these guys, as they're tucked into a residential area within Bucktown. The shop is a little, shall we say, disheveled, but after seeing the finished work (three pieces so far), I know that it's more like a master craftsman's laboratory. Marsha and Richie are great at the consultative aspect of framing and matting choices, design, etc., so collaborating with them to pull together "a look" is really fun. I couldn't be more pleased with how the pieces turned out, and their pricing was really fair and competitive, too. I'll definitely be using them again soon; you should too. read more

After living in the neighborhood for a decade, and pass this framing store on Webster every time when we go to the Webster movie theater before the Pandemic on Friday nights, I finally walked in to the store after talking with the super nice lady over the phone. It's a small business run by a very nice couple. I have done several paintings during quarantine time, I order some wood frames on line but there wasn't the back materials I have no efficient tools to complete the job, so I brought over three paintings, Richie (so experienced) did a great job on site, and I had a great conversation with the wife, who is extremely nice and kind. I am going back tomorrow & bring more paintings for framing the back. It is certainly a gem in Bucktown. I didn't have any problems while I was there, so glad they were able to help me in time. They helped a lot with my frustrations of this frame has given me. Now I can relax and appreciate the framed painting~ read more

DO NOT USE THIS "BUSINESS". I dropped off a piece of art to be framed and paid in full up front. They said it would be ready in 3 weeks and they would call when it was ready for pickup. After 4 weeks and no word, I called to see if it was available. I had to describe the piece of art in order for them to even find it but was told that it had been ready for a while. When I went to pick up my art, I was told that I hadn't paid. I assured them that I had and waited patiently while he searched through his computer to find my receipt, which he did eventually find. A week later while I am on vacation, I get a call from him claiming I have not paid. I explained again that I had paid, he had found record of my payment while I was in the shop. He claimed he could no longer find the receipt and asked that I send him a screenshot from my credit card. I explained I was on vacation but would get to it once I got back to town. Once back, I called the store to see where I could send the screenshot from my credit card to prove my payment yet again. A woman answered (I'm assuming his wife?) and when I explained the situation to her, she was clearly embarrassed and told me she believed me and to not worry about sending the screenshot. Several weeks later I get a highly unprofessional text from Richie still accusing me of not paying and stating that "Karma will take care of you sooner or later." I've attached the text below for reference. Clearly this place has no idea how to run a business or treat their customers. I've always enjoyed supporting local businesses and look forward to finding a new local framing shop that knows how to function. read more

While a very fancy piece, could be out of their league, this friendly neighborhood shop can quickly do a quality job on your favorite poster or wedding photos. They have a decent selection of frames and best prices in town. I brought in two professional group photos from a company trip to hang in my office wall. The gentleman who helped me was great. He helped me select a frame, took my order and turned it around in just a few days. I am trilled with the results. Because they are tiny, they may not offer the selection, nor the sophistication required to frame some collectible artwork but for everyday life 0 there is no place better:) read more

We had a number of pictures framed for our child's nursery, and they did an excellent job. The final product was excellent, and they were also extremely patient and helpful along the way. We initially ordered one frame, but then got home and changed our mind. They brought us back in for a second appointment and re-did everything without giving us a problem. I will go to them for all of my framing needs from now on. Not only that, but their pricing is really very competitive. They beat a number of big box stores that I assumed would be lower quality but cheaper, only to find out that they're actually more expensive. (I do not know if the big box stores are lower quality because, with Webster winning on price and service, I decided not to try anywhere else.) read more

I will never recommend this frame shop to anyone. The job was not done in a timely matter. They would keep telling us that it would be ready the next day and waste our time when we'd try to pick it up because it wasn't even touched yet. Finally, the artwork we brought in was returned to us damaged. When we asked about the damages they were very angry and yelled at us to get out! Yes, they kicked us out!! We were accused of coming into their shop with the intent to argue with them. Ridiculous. There are plenty of other frame shops out there that I believe deserve your business more. read more

We went here because my husband lived around the corner for MANY years and we saw it on Yelp. We had the most fantastic experience and we would highly recommend them. The owners do everything there and they were able to give us many options and had a quick turn around on our 2 items. After calling many local places to have a panoramic skyline pic we took from our boat frames with no mat but instead a glass edge to show through to our exposed brick; they hit the nail on the head. The frame looks great, they did a wonderful job and they were willing to negotiate on the price after telling them what some other shops has quoted. I had 3 odd-sized Star Wars prints (shut it! I'm a fan. LOL) that I wanted to frame. First I went to Accentric. Nice enough. But, although, I'm a Star Wars fan I was not about to pay over $1000 for three frames. I went to Webster, next, because my sister gave me a coupon for 20% discount from there and it was only two blocks away. Marsha was very nice and helpful. I am pretty sure I didn't get 20% off frames because Marsha kept rounding down on stuff! So I'm sure my total was discounted more than 20%. LOL! My total for three frames at Webster was only about $100 more than ONE frame from Accentric. The frames are made on-site too (in the back of the store)! If you ask Richie he'll show you his shop--very cool. One of the frames was cracked and they redid the frame in two days. Good people. read more

What a Bucktown neighborhood gem! When my boyfriend and I wanted to redecorate our apartment, we dug up some "lost" treasures that needed framing. Naive to the world of interior decorating and completely alien to the art of framing, I painstakingly searched every area super store, craft store, home store in search of cheap, ready made frames for my irregularly shaped pieces. Alas, I resigned myself to forking over extra money for custom framing - but where to go? After receiving a flyer on my door - mind you never once until then were any of the hundreds of flyers placed on my door relevant to me - I decided to take a peaceful stroll around the corner to visit the custom frame shop I passed hundreds of times before over the years. Always supporting the local businesses in the neighborhood (especially the bars), I decided to give them a try. The OPEN sign invited me to approach the garden unit, the faded sign at the door told me to ring the bell. I was pleasantly greeted by a friendly gentlemen whose name escapes me. He walked me through an informative consultation, laid out my options and price, And put my mind at ease and ale intendant anxiety I had about custom framing. As I walked out, I felt like a real adult - you know, that feeling you get when you buy your first mattress or sign your very first car loan. I truly entered the stage into adulthood of my late twenties. This will be my first stop next time I need someone framed. In fact, I can't wait to need something framed. Not only were they alot less expensive than the bigger shops - I felt they have my works more personal attention. I was very happy with the finished products and I've been back as a result.
