The 2nd time I went back I had a much better sale person she was a younger lady and was amazing help. Let me try on as many dresses as I could to make sure I was picking the best for my body shape. We where also allowed to take photos of the dresses we liked so I could review them at home and make a final pick. (Very important for a bride to be). They also do in store alterations to dresses if they need to be done at an extra fee, depends on what needs to be done as to how much this will cost. We felt that this was highly inappropriate as Colleen had no way of knowing what our price range was, but she still continued to bring out waves of sale rack dresses and make loud comments about the prices. Apart from this, the store was quite well presented. Though it was a bit crowded, they had a wide range of dresses and to their credit, they did have the exact dress my sister was looking for. In short, despite the pleasantly decorated store, the unpleasant staff made us feel judged and uncomfortable. I will not return to this store.

We may not…read morehave wanted a ceremony in a church but we still wanted a formal indoor venue that wasn't a court room or a hastily decorated conference room. The Broadway Chapel is a Gothic building erected in 1884 and has housed Congregational, Presbyterian, Methodists, Uniting and Spanish Baptist worshippers amongst its rich history. The Church closed in 1980s and did not re-open again until 2003 when it was renovated and put to good use as a chapel for both civil and religious ceremonies. It is now a Heritage listed building and still contains much of the original features such as the pipe organ, baptismal font and murals. I'm not sure how many people the chapel can host. I had about sixty people at the ceremony and we did find that the garden outside the chapel got a bit cramped during photos. So for small to medium sized weddings, I'm certain many couples will find Broadway Chapel the perfect leaping off point to start their adventures. NB: The chapel is not regularly opened to the public. Please call ahead of time to arrange a private viewing time.
