Finally went to my barber today for the first time (3) months ago cause of COVID 19 . I bought a few clippers to cut my own hair. My hair isn't that hard to cut. I like it short and short as possible. I kinda got tire of using (2) different clippers and that is why I called my barber to see if he was open. I went here for the first time today. There were two barbers in the shop - one had a client and the other was free. He was fast and efficient , and he asked if he should trim my (overly bushy) eyebrows. The haircut was just as I asked, and the price was reasonable bordering on very low. Consistent hair cut for a fair price, and they are good with kids. We have been going here for many years. Parking can be tricky with the bakery next door. You may need to park on 34th and walk down the hill from there. read more

Honestly one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten! I've asked for the same haircut for at least a decade (8 on top, 4 on sides, blended inbetween), and the guy (name started with an A) crushed it! Very fast (less than 10 minutes total), but probably the most even haircut I've received. He's got skills! I'll be back! read more

Pass. Have been coming here for a year and they do a decent hair cut for $18. However, I just got my hair cut there for the last time. Told the barber I want a clean up and not shortened too much. He asked if I wanted a 2 and I said "no, that's too short". I also told him my hair gets spiked in the front when it gets too long and makes a faux hawk, which I do not want. He then shaved away half the length of my hair on one side with a 2. I told him to stop and that it was too short and he replied, "you said 2...?" Damage done. I asked him to even it out at that length. He then proceeds to give me a faux hawk at the short length again saying it was what I asked for. Bottom line, I received the opposite of what I asked for and one of the worst hair cut of my life. read more

If I could give it 6 stars I would. My husband randomly found this shop when we first moved to the area and he needed to look no further. Amman took good care of him giving him exactly what he asked for at a very fair price. My husband only went a few times before getting into a terrible car accident which landed him at Harborview for almost 2 months. The Dr.s wouldn't allow my husband to leave the hospital so Amman came to him, I didn't even need to really ask him. I told him the situation and he was there within the next few hours. It was very touching and meant a lot to me. Unfortunately my husband suffered a brain injury so I just wanted a little normalcy for him and his barber helped us out! THANK YOU! This is a good place. I was satisfied with my haircut, and would recommend them. However, just as a FYI they DO NOT accept credit cards. The Yelp page says they do for some reason, but they do not. I searched specifically for one that did accept credit cards, but when I tried to pay they told me cash only and I had to drive to an ATM and come back to pay them. read more

Why did you shave my hair there? I got a haircut at this place recently. First time going there. When I got back in my car I realized the dude had "sculpted" my side burns and my hair line around my face... And I didn't ask for this. Now it's growing back in and I think it looks funny. Otherwise the experience was fine. No wait when I walked it. Interior is fine, but nothing special. I almost gave them two stars, but I'll go easy on them and give them three. I enjoyed my haircut here this afternoon; Amman was very kind, polite and did a really great job with my cut. When I arrived at 10:45, there was not a wait so I was taken care of immediately. Halfway through my cut two other gentleman arrived for their cuts; instead of hurrying through my cut, Amman patiently (but at a good speed) finished my cut. I really appreciated that and would recommend this barber shop to anyone. Clean business, excellent service, fair rate. I'd been looking around today for a barber around my house. It was sort of on a whim, but Maria C.'s review of this place sealed it for me. I'm quite a picky poor college student, so I was pretty excited about this place. There was a bit of a wait, and when I got there they only had one barber working. A half our later, another one showed up. The original guy was pretty witty, and the other guy pretty much left you alone, which is something I usually like in a barber. They had a comb marked by inches, and told me how long my hair was without my asking. Not only was it something I was curious about, but it also helped me gauge how long I wanted to ask for. The barber was patient with me as I asked for a couple of adjustments at the end. After that, he described my finished cut, presumably so I could ask for it again. That was really helpful. read more

I went to this shop after mistakenly trying the Bostonian the day after Labor Day (apparently Labor Day often leaks into Tuesday). The shop is really traditional with absolutely nothing about it that could be described as fancy. I had to wait about 15 minutes (two guys in front of me) reading a copy of 'The Economist' from July of last year. Anyway, the chairs are nice and clean and the haircut I got was superb. If you don't care about style but you do care about substance, check this place out. read more

Recommend by a friend, and now I'm a believer. My friend suggested I ask for a "high and tight" but Amman thought it would be too short on me and suggested the "medium business cut." Looks great - very pleased. Cash only, $18, plus I tipped $5. Best $23 haircut I've had in years. Funny conversation about Sean Spicer's press briefing as it aired on the shop TV.
