I didn't have to make an appointment for a consultation, like I wasted my time doing with Dawson Crawford. I was put in touch with Oy-lene Chong. She was able to get all the information she needed from me by phone, and email exchange. On June 4, because of my earlier experience (waiting 3 months for nothing), I sent a follow-up email asking when I should expect to receive the paperwork. On June 18, I received the paperwork, and arranged to come in on June 26 to get all the paperwork notarized, etc... Oy-lene was very professional and easy to work with. She explained the documents wll. The appointment took only about a half hour, and I was on my way. I don't think the type of business I brought is in high demand (because of the way I was treated by Dawson Crawford), but I still felt like I was being taken seriously. I still felt a bit apprehensive overall, but it was mostly because I always had this perception that I might be getting blown off and forgotten about, like before. I wish I would have originally worked with Lane Parker - and the only reason I didn't is that his office is in Oakland, and I had to leave work early to get there in time. I would recommend doing business with Lane Parker, and working with Oy-lene.

I've hired several attorneys throughout the years and I never once hired an attorney that did absolutely nothing to represent me correctly. I hired him on behalf of my business to help Me recover money I lost due to a breach of contract issue from last December. This attorney was so ineffective he was not even able to get the other parties attorney to reply to him. After several back and forth emails they simply stopped replying and he did nothing about it. He just blamed it on them. In my opinion it was clearly his lack of actual skill as a lawyer since the definition of a great attorney is one who can get a successful resolution for their client in a timely manner. Not to mention how frustrating it was this took about 5 months of me following up with this lawyer repeatedly asking him to try to get a resolution. It gets worse he then advised me to just sue them in a small claims court and said I could pay him to put together the case for the small claims court as well as serve the other party. This is where it gets unbelievably worse Attorney Anuar served the party in the wrong state ! Then he proceeded to file the lawsuit in the wrong court ! I was relying on his legal expertise to do this properly but he couldn't even do. I live in another state so I had to fly in to court in Santa Clara ca only to be told by the judge that my lawyer had served the party improperly in the wrong state he served Florida when it should have been Arizona so that was invalid. Then the judge looked at the contract and right away said it clearly stated in the document that all disputes were governed by Arizona law not California courts so why the heck did this lawyer not even know that it's the most basic common sense thing to do to look at the contract to find out what court is governing any disputes. I was so upset for not only wasting time again months of following up with him and money. So that day when I left court I told him about how the judge told me he did everything wrong and you want to know his answer ? He said arrogantly he was not wrong the judge was wrong and refused to admit he completely wasted my time and money. I still gave him a chance to make it right and for over 10 follow up's he just gave me the run around. At that point (almost a year after since I hired him) I said I'm over chasing you and trying to motivate you to act on my behalf just give me a refund as you did not even do anything right so I can hire a competent lawyer who knows how to represent. And I couldn't believe his reply was: he said he felt bullied in the email for telling him that he did his job wrong ! and he then said he was now terminating the representation and would give no refund and never admitted his negligence.This person is not a competent lawyer and does not care about getting his clients a successful outcome. I will be filing a complaint with the CA bar. Look at the screenshot I attached below even after a repeatedly told him the judge said only Arizona court can be the venue to file a small claims court he then continued to at least 5 more times by emails to ask me "so where do you want to sue them ?! I couldn't believe it I felt like as the lawyer he had to know and lead the case not me. It's like going to a doctor that asks the patient what they want to diagnose or prescribe for themselves. Just crazy I never experienced this type of behavior as a Client
