I wrote a review on her a few years ago about the same time that Cindy was dealing with her with her divorce. In a nutshell, she did all the same to me took money, never represented me left me high and dry right before a court proceeding using the same excuse medical leave do your homework. She referred to herself as the rain man making money fall from the sky, I paid her a $5000 deposit which never ever got a bill or an itemized bill stating how it was dispersed filed many complaints with the bar association. What a waste of time lawyers do cover their own. I would not even let her represent me in a speeding ticket because I probably go to jail for a felony when it was just a simple speeding ticket. I would definitely stay clear of this law firm. They keep taking down my post and I will continue to repost it every opportunity that should show how you should stay clear of her. read more

Grossly unprofessional, dishonest to say the least, it is criminal that she is still practicing law. I filed two complaints with the California Bar Association and will continue to pursue the matter until something is done. There have been many other formal complaints against her. Unfortunately, Attorney's protect their own. Hopefully, justice will prevail. My complaints are too detailed to write in this post, but there are many similarities to the other one star reviews that have been posted. I hired Ms.gill to represent me a highly contentious divorce, and an upcoming trial in approximately six months later . The start of my demise began when Ms. Gill went on medical leave within a couple of weeks of hiring her, and delegated my case to one of her two associate attorneys. Both attorneys quit within three months, resulting in no one preparing for my trial until Ms.Gill returned five months later, and only four weeks prior before trial. Upon her return, we had a settlement conference with the Court , at which time she pleaded with the Court to postpone the trial for the second time. The first request was made by her associate Attorney during her medical leave. Ms.Gill argued she needed time to prepare being she just returned from Medical leave, is still not one hundred percent well, and with a backlog of cases. The Court was seemingly annoyed with the circumstances, and her lack of familiarity in particular, denied her request, and the trial remained on Calendar in four weeks. In another conference shortly thereafter, Without my permission, Ms.Gill frivolously asked the Court to advance $45,000 from a settlement trust fund so she could prepare for the imminent upcoming trial. Seemingly, now implying that she did not work on my case due to lack of funds. Despite multiple multiple requests in writing, I did not receive any billing statements from Ms..Gill until after filing two formal complaints with the California Bar Association, and more than two years after my divorce was finalized. There were multiple pages of frivolous charges, I presume the delay was due to her not keeping any records during the one month period of time I worked with her, and fabricated the vast majority of her charges. In summary, Ms.Gill left the office on medical leave shortly after retaining her services, and did not return to work until approximately one month prior to trial, withheld more than $50,000.00 in funds, and represented me in trial completely unprepared, resulting in vast financial demise. read more

Hearings were all said and done, opposing party was not budging on anything. Karan came on confident, compassionate, and brutally honest. I wish I could Karan Gill more stars, because she has been great help as lawyer and as a human being. She worked on two cases for me, employment law and a divorce case. In both cases, Karam went above and beyond expectations-- she didn't charge me an arm and a leg.
