He was like "dad, I want a super concert pineapple." He was looking at a video of kanilea's new pineapple tenor which I think is around 2k. So, no not that one. So I started researching brands that made good pineapple body ukes and the mainland mango concert longneck popped up. Showed my son a pic and he fell in love. I contacted mike and went over what I needed. I'm a pretty forgetful guy and sent mike about 20 emails until I finally felt I covered everything I wanted for my son's uke. They do amazing work! This uke is amazing! Beautiful from top to bottom! The setup is perfect (setup for a 13year old). Plays like buttuh! They setup the uke for a lefty, with a low g, strap button and tuners/buttons exactly as requested. Mike was super helpful and always got back to me and the uke was delivered in about a week. Awesome experience! Will buy one for myself soon.
