I come here all the time with my dog. The park is ok and is the best we have in central NY. The all dogs side can have aggressive dogs sometimes so we usually stick to the small dogs only size. There isn't much to the dog park just a well fenced in area. The small dog size has a ramp, water, and fire hydrant. The large area has a few more structures and a water station; and is much bigger. A good place for dogs to go and socialize.

I come to this dog park all the time and my dog loves it... but the people here could be more nice! Whenever I go this park dogs and their dog owners often judge. It's like everyone around here has some big stick up their ass. Once I was watching my dog run and this skanky white bitch comes up to me and goes in the most passive aggressive tone you could think "is that your dog" I of course answer yes with a big huge smile on my face... and she goes why are you smiling so much. After she said that I think to myself what!? Why would someone ever say that about me that's just rude! So I just rub it off like nothing happened. Then the next day I go to the park a dog runs up to me so I smile at the dog and it starts barking and crying the owner comes up to me and yells "GET AWAY FROM MY DOG." I'm so confused at this point why does everyone always give me tude at this park. Anyways I just rub it off again and go the next day and this time I see the hottest man I've ever seen at the dog park he must've been new because everyone here is ugly and old. So I go up to him I smile wave and say "hey would you like to go out sometime" he almost puked I know this because he told me so. I wonder why everyone here is so rude to me. So one day I see some familiar faces and I ask what's wrong with me:( why does no one like me. No one tells me they just act like I don't exist and ignore me so I will let you guys be the judge I inserted my picture so take a look! I want to get this fixed because usually I am the hottest girl at the dog park but lately everyone has just been so rude so maybe I have gained some weight or soemthing I don't know‍

The course has 2 sets of tees so you can play each hole slightly differently each time through. The disc golf course is beginner friendly, though there is some occasional pedestrian traffic walking the trail that you need to watch out for. One of the tee areas has you tossing near the parking lot, and I wasn't a fan of that (I do think that may have been moved recently). The course is a mix of open holes and some wooded holes - a good quick round is easy to knock out here. The park has a children's playground, basketball courts, and a nice walking trail. It checks a lot of boxes for a fun spot to visit.

I went for the disc golf, which was 9 holes and a tad confusing since the map was burned on the bathroom building. There are colored wooden cubes to tee off at each of the 9 holes, with the assumption that certain colors are harder difficulties, but yellow is not always the farthest or hardest. There are no pars listed so it's not for hardcore throwers but it's a decent walk. Baskets could also be improved with a stripe of colored paint to make them more visible, since there's no map or markers even pointing in the right direction like at most courses. It's flat, one hole through a wooded area, and relatively easy for a nice stroll while tossing frisbees with a friend.

One thing I noticed about this park is that dogs are in general better trained here-- and that is because they have to be. This park is not fenced in like other dog parks. Instead, it is a huge open set of areas, including a path through the trees. You need to ensure your pup has good recall, likes to stay around you, or you'll need to make sure they are on a leash. I have only had a few hiccups here is with people not being the best trained. One person, without a dog, was just giving treats to all dogs that came up to them which was a bit frustrating and a bad behavior to teach. Also, people are terrible about picking up poop. You'll find dog poop and bags of dog poop everywhere--some of this I will blame on the park as its huge and there are only 2 places to put it. However. Its a huge place for my dog to run and he enjoys it-- and so do we, and as a bonus, he sleeps the rest of the day.

She has built a lot of independence there and she knows our walking route by heart. It's a great place to take a nice walk after work to help yourself and your dog unwind.

When he learned that I had been to over 100 of them but hadn't been to Green Lakes he urged me to check that one off the list pronto. And you know how that goes: when someone tells you how great something is, that place suddenly starts popping up more and more in your social feeds. Well, after seeing it featured on the socials for I Love NY and NYS Parks, I finally made the trip to Central New York outside of Syracuse (wait, I can call Syracuse "Central New York" on here, right? :) ), and I was not disappointed at all. My visit was early on an October Saturday, and lots of runners and walkers were around. And a fair amount of ducks too. A mostly level 2.5-mile loop around Green Lake and another mile-ish loop around practically adjacent Round Lake (which is also a Registered National Landmark) made for a wonderful morning stroll. I was just walking and taking pictures, but clearly this is a spot where runners meet and get in a workout together. The lakes are beautiful, and, yeah, have an emerald-green glow at times. I'm really glad I made the trip there, and will definitely revisit one day.

This indoor dog park has lots of room for dogs to just RUN, and has some agility equipment for those on the more athletic side. Kris, the owner, made sure this place was clean and pristine for our playtime there, and she remained on site and engaged with our dog Lucy the entire time. Woofs has a separate play area for smaller dogs as well, so when size matters to your furbaby, they can be assured that they'll feel safe and sound playing without the worry of being overwhelmed by larger dogs. Recently, with the canine flu going around, Woofs took some time to evaluate how to keep the doggos safe and healthy. Ultimately Woofs modeled some COVID best practices and we ended up with a private playtime for just our dog. Kris cleans between scheduled playtimes to ensure a clean and safe play area. I know several doggy day care places that don't take these precautions - it's definitely a hit to the "bottom line," but I fully appreciate the care that Woofs has taken to provide a safe, healthy, and holistic play alternative to dogs of all sizes, especially on inclement weather days. Woofs even has some exercise equipment (stationery cycles, and treadmills) that allow owners to get a workout in while overseeing their dog in the play area, if they so desire. Definitely a 10 out of 10, and we'll be back!!!!
