I did this program this summer for about six weeks which was about 4 cycles of 10 days each. The method is extreme and psychologically it can get to you. I'm not convinced that the hunger suppression method of accupressure really works but mentally it gets you through the challenge. That said, the method works. You essentially survive on very little and at the end of the first cycle you see a drastic drop in weight. For me it wasn't as big of a drop but it was better than what I usually achieve on my own. You lose less on the next cycles but you see significant size shrinkage. I'm back in my cute dresses and they're a bit bigger on me. My waist is slimmer, I have more energy even though I don't eat a whole lot, I sleep much better. All in all... I wanted to lose 18 pounds but only lost 10 over the 30-40 day period. I figure with periodic maintenance and staying active, I can get 8-10 more pounds off and be at my ideal weight. The cost is up there but it's cheaper than this doctor supervised program I did a few years ago due to some blood sugar problems. I did this to be happy with myself and get to my pre-winter weight. Because if I didn't, I'd be putting on more pounds in the winter and it would be harder to take it off afterwards. Everyone's results are different. Mine were slow but I don't think it's the program's fault. It's just my body type and the fact that I didn't have a whole lot to lose in the first place. The heavier you are, the more you lose. When you're under 160 or 150, it gets harder to lose as much and as fast. In all, the method deserves 5 stars since it works. I'm giving it 4 because of the location in busy Brookline and because there were not many time slots options available for my appointments. Update on 8/11/19: I have dropped my rating from 2 stars to 1 star. After a little research, it's clear to me that this diet--and any diet that severely restricts caloric intake--isn't just bad for hypoglycemics, it's bad for everyone. Rapid weight loss is difficult to maintain, and not only are you likely to regain the weight, once you do it's much harder to lose weight again. As one article put it (and this is typical of all the articles I read): "As soon as you start losing weight, your body suddenly wants it all back. It can't tell the difference between intentional weight loss and being struck by famine. It immediately goes into protective mode, lowering your metabolism and stimulating your appetite to preserve fat stores. On top of that, when you lose weight, your body needs fewer calories to maintain itself. However, your body prompts you to keep eating those calories to fill this "energy gap." One study found that for every two pounds you lose, your body will try to get you to eat 100 more calories than usual." read more

Last year (10/12) I lost 30 lbs in 40 days. The diet is VERY strict, but I never felt hungry. Years ago I had gained an enormous amount of weight. I was working as a Director in technology in a typical high pressure stressful situation . 20 days in on the diet and I've lost 20 lbs. Despite my initial skepticism about the efficacy of the acupressure balls, miraculously I've had no cravings and find I have only a small appetite. The first of the milk days was difficult for me but on the second day, I was more mindful about making it last throughout the day and ended the day (5:30 pm) with a milk"shake" (milk in a blender with cinnamon and vanilla extract) I will continue with the diet until I reach goal weight. I have started loosing weight under Dr. Nash supervision 5 years ago. My starting weight was 249 lb. and I am only 5.7 ft. tall. The first year I have lost almost 20 lb.
