I love trying new places. I love it even more when those new places feel like I've been there…read morebefore when I first walk in. But, let's rewind a bit... My four year old needed his eyes checked for a couple of reasons. He was complaining of them bothering him and blinking a lot. My sweet husband became concerned one day and off the cuff called up to The Eye Experience to get them checked out. He liked that it was closer to us than other places and also that it was new. We were able to get him in rather quickly. My husband took him and came back really impressed with how much time Dr. Patel spent on our son and how thorough he was. He has to have glasses, and the business being new didn't have the frames I wanted for him (flex frames, the boy is a walking tornado sometimes) so they ordered several so we will have some in a few days. Fast forward to today... On hearing how impressed my husband was, I knew I needed to get in to see Dr. Patel. I have an autoimmune issue and it effects my eyes so I need someone who actually cares, who is thorough and understands that I'm not just a typical eye exam. I was so pleased with my visit!! I have never been through the visual tests that I went through today during a checkup. I was able to see the pictures he took of my eye and see how some of the anatomy works. How interesting! He spent time with me and answered any questions I had and I learned a couple of new things about Crohn's and it's effect on the eye. Side note: Crohn's sucks. It's pretty much the Devil. He also asked about my son. He remembered details about him and asked some follow up questions regarding his visit. He told me, " I don't like to take chances with kids. The decisions I make today, will affect them the rest of their lives." I love that a Dr. cares that much. Let me not forget to mention Valerie. She's his assistant and is amazing. I haven't laughed that much at a Dr's Office, well, ever. She is so sweet. She is a big part of why I enjoyed today's visit so much. I really feel like I found my forever Optometrist. ***"Also! This Friday January 6 th, they are having a grand opening. I was told there was a trunk sale and some frames are 40% off!! I love a sale, especially if it's something I truly need.*** Do yourself a solid and go see Dr. Patel of you need an Optometrist.

Horrible service! The doctor and staff were rude to my daughter. We will not go back there again!read more

From track meets, college, loss of loved ones and job changes. He may run behind and it can be frustrating if your on a tight time restriction but I will Always wait for him. He actually is cares about his patients and always tries to help figure out what it is your eyes need to be better. He is amazing!

I've worn glasses and contact lenses for 25+ years (I'm not old just worn glasses since elementary school...lol). When I called for an appt the staff I spoke with was friendly and quick to get me a spot that fit my schedule. I like that Dr. McBride sees patients later in the evening (I had a 5:30pm appt). I was seen promptly at my appt time and the staff is very organized. Dr. McBride was very courteous and formal (rather old school), he has a quiet bedside manner but he got my prescription dead on! Based on my ins. (VSP) his prices are extremely reasonable! For what I paid in Calif. just for glasses I got glasses AND 6 months of contacts (I didn't get generic frames either...designer name brand). He has a great selection of frames for men, women and children. I'm very happy I found Dr. McBride and have already recommended him to several people!

I'm pretty disappointed that the only review that is 'recommended' is a negative review when all of…read morethe hidden ones are super positive. I hope mine remains at the top because of the genuinely great service both my husband and I received on different separate occasions. Firstly, the front staff are super cool and don't make you feel like this is a job they are doing. It seems like morale at this place is high and that makes me feel fantastic about giving them my business. The wait was not very long between any of the 'stations' I visited. In fact, I was given ample time to fill in my paperwork and pick out glasses and they called me in in record time. I felt like I was inconveniencing them because I was going slowly! The best part is that they were very understanding and were willing to accommodate any way. Finally, I did not get everyone's names but definitely Dr. Burkhart was genuine and super nice. Answered all of my questions and did not treat me in any way like I was dumb for not knowing. Her bedside manner is just amazing. Her entire staff from front desk, to scribe, to optical assistant (not sure if exact title) were just SO cool and relevant. They really leveled with you and smiled and conversed with you. Also the guys at FirstLook where you pick out glasses were phenomenal! Were very patient, knowledgeable, and tried their hardest to help in any way they could. I was very picky and not the best client because I couldn't make up my mind and they encouraged me to be because they understood the struggle. Their selection was endless as well! Overall, this was an amazing experience compared to my last horrible experience with a small indiv. Practice in a small town.

What a joke, that was the best thought I had after leaving from my appointment…read more I'm a firm believer and urge all family & friends to utilize their benefits to the fullest. With the being said, I came here for my annual exam and not one staff member greeted the person infront of me, me or the person behind me. When it was my turn to check in, the staff members continued to communicate amongst themselves, the staff member on the left looked up and said, "Oh, someone will be with you in a moment". Then the woman next to her finished her story and then looked back at me and said "And what can I help you with...". I explained that I was there to check in for an appointment and she quickly looked me up and then said "Yeah.... I see you here but wanted to tell you that your insurance will cover your visit and all but won't cover your hardware (contacts and/or glasses) so wild you like to still be seen today". I quickly questioned why no one explained that when the office staff personally called me the business day before to confirm my appointment and insurance. She explained that she couldn't answer that because she wasn't the one who called me.... Fast forward: I continued with my exam with Dr. Burkhart who was not only amazing and kind but the MA before seeing her was AMAZING and the MA who was in the room with the provider was AMAZING. I explained to them my frustration I had earlier about the insurance issue and they brought in the clinic's manager. The manager explained she had no idea what was going on insurance wise as this was the first she heard about it but would ask. She left and returned with a wild explanation as to why they were not accepting my insurance coverage. I just got off the phone with my insurance who called them to question the entire situation and they admitted they told me false information. Needless to say, this front office staff is a joke.
