We've never used a photographer or even had photos taken, so we thought it would be awkward for us.. Not at all, he made sure we got the perfect photos for our special day! They even allowed us to make a quick trip to a near by park (in the middle of winter) for the most beautiful outdoor portraits. So happy with these photos and will cherish them forever!

He met with us to determine what we needed, had an awesome engagement shoot, held virtual meetings with us to communicate about details, and made the day of our wedding easier! COVID complicated our plans and he rolled with everything and made generous accommodations for us that were incredibly appreciated. He went above and beyond what you might traditionally think of a photographer/videographer doing - like timeline planning, vendor recommendations, and a really neat aerial video! As someone who did not hire a wedding planner or coordinator, I cannot stress the value of his help with the timeline enough. Having another person familiar with the industry to make sure nothing looked out of place was wonderful. The skill level is a given - you can see it in the photo gallery - but I can totally attest to the important things you can't always see: organization, convenience/ease of the online client portal, customer service, industry knowledge, and communication - all A+!

For my Persian-American destination wedding in Cancun, the most important thing to me other than my…read morehusband, family and friends was the photography and the videography. They are the memories that will last forever not the flowers or the design of your wedding cake. When having a destination wedding and a family from all over the world, we needed to have as much video coverage to show our loved ones far away. You hear so many horror stories on things going wrong and honestly I told myself if the cake falls or the dress rips its ok but if the photographer and videographer doesn't show up or the video footage gets lost, I will pass out. When I spoke with Jon from Sublime Wedding Films over the phone 11 months before the wedding, I felt at ease and knew his team would be my destination wedding videographer. I can tell he absolutely loves what he does. He is so patient, artistic, talented, a great listener and excellent with audio. I knew he was going to be the perfect videographer to capture my wedding. Jon and his colleague Austin captured everything we wanted plus more for our destination wedding at Cancun; the welcome party, wedding, and reception. To add to that Jon and Austin filmed our surprise first dance (Argentine Tango) and a cutting of the cake dance (Persian Tradition), which we secretly danced for 6 months. I loved how comfortable they made my husband and I feel being in my own skin especially when I was getting really nervous before the wedding ceremony. They captured everything in detail and whenever we look back at the videos we can proudly say it was all worth the practice and time. Jon and Austin were very professional and extremely polite to all the guests and the guest told us how they all loved how polite they were. Some videographers are oftentimes very bossy and pushy and tell people to do things they are not comfortable doing, however, Jon and Austin managed to get all the shots they needed, what my family wanted to share with our loved ones and the shots I requested. Jon's unique technique and attention to capturing priceless moments is a gift from God. Perfection. The day after the wedding we did an underwater trash the dress shoot in a cenote (water cave) it was raining really hard and pretty cloudy. Jon and Austin were confident and amazing in planning out the film logistics of the site, scanning the environment and executing a shooting plan. Jon helped my fiancé (now husband lol) learn how to pose naturally and be himself and not look to "staged." They came well prepared and our underwater session was a blast. After the wedding Jon and I kept in touch and followed up with me on the progress of the videos. He worked diligently on getting all of my videos edited and put on CD and uploaded online for my family to see from overseas. He went above and beyond to get my videos complete for my parents as a surprise gift for New Years. The videos were flawless. My shock in how perfect the videos came out as well as the albums was more than I could have ever imagined. Jon understood the importance of videography in my life and he brought the memories back to life every time we watch the videos. Sublime Wedding Films replicated my vision and amplified it. If you are looking for a destination wedding videography look no further... its Jon from Sublime Wedding Films.

Although the innkeeper, Elise, had several photographers listed on her "approved vendor" sheet for wedding planning, she highly recommended Bob. My husband and I heartily thank Elise for the recommendation! Bob and his wife, Suzie, are a FANTASTIC husband-wife photography team. They were so professional, friendly and responsive! My husband understands the art behind photography more than I do, and the minute he perused Bob's website, he asserted "that's the one we're going with." Bob and Suzie were so good to work with! Suzie responded quickly to all my emails. Bob kept me updated and informed on the wedding day process and made great suggestions, which were a huge stress-reliever for me. I was concerned that potential bad weather, or the tiny, unassuming size of our wedding would deter him: NOT AT ALL. He promised to stay overnight near the inn to avoid bad weather if need be. And, he promised that he would spend as much time and effort as necessary to take numerous, quality photos. This absolutely meant the world to me, and Bob more than exceeded my hopes! Bob treated my little country wedding with the same enthusiasm and attentiveness reserved for a big fancy affair. He was detail-oriented but organized; professional and knowledgeable, but still so much fun. He kept the environment so relaxed, and put each person at ease (this was a feat, as he was dealing with a shy 10 year old girl; some older folks; and me, who is perpetually camera-shy). My 10 year old daughter absolutely loved Bob (he obviously works great with kids) and he has my husband's stamp of approval. We have seen our pictures posted on Bobknollphoto.com and they are gorgeous! Bob is compiling a wedding album for us as well, and we can't wait to see it! He books up quickly and with a packed schedule, so I am so thankful and honored to have been his first wedding of 2014!

I used the quote calculator on their website to get an estimate prior to my fall wedding. When I had to enter my email address and phone number I felt like I was going to regret it later, but did it anyway. Not only did I receive the quote, but I was mailed a contract, and called within hours of the estimate. I told the person I spoke with that we were comparing prices on videographers and I just wanted a quote but wasn't ready to make a decision yet. We didn't have a ton of money for video so it was essential that we do our research. He seemed to understand, BUT the phone calls didn't stop. A few days later - "We're going to hold your date!" I told them that was unnecessary. I got a weekly phone call for a while, which I ignored and then immediately received a follow-up email. I usually responded to those telling them we hadn't decided and would let them know if we wanted to hire them. They reminded me that "We can't hold your date for much longer..." Which I never asked them to do. AND after telling them I had DJ services taken care of they repeatedly tried to up sell me their own. About two months or so out from the wedding I started getting DAILY calls, even after telling them that I had handed off videography duties to my fiancé. I ignored all calls and emails. The calls were always during the day while was at work, at a new job - it felt like they didn't care what I may be doing, they just wanted my business no matter what, complete disregard for my daily life. I genuinely felt like I was being harassed and knew that regardless of how lovely their online reels were we would never work with this company. I was so annoyed I didn't feel like I owed them the courtesy of telling them either. I just continued to ignore the calls and emails. If you want to hire Complete for sure, right off the bat, I am willing to bet the experience it quite different, great even. But if you are just browsing area vendors be warned that they will not leave you alone. I felt like I was clear and firm about our situation and it just didn't get through... A business should never make you feel cornered into hiring them. Complete- I highly recommend you calm it down when it comes to potential clients. Check on the initial quote, follow back up in a month or two depending on when the event is, and then follow up six weeks before the event. No more than that or it will turn people off. Had we not had such a negative experience in the beginning it is highly likely we would have hired you for our wedding.
