Select Specialty is absolutely positively awful!!!!!!!…read more I would give it a 0 star if I could. I wouldn't send my worst enemy or a dog to this facility and for the life of me do not know why it is not shut down yet. Even the funeral home I used knew how bad this facility was; they told me that is the place that everyone goes to die. I said that is correct!! I could go in a lot of detail about this place but basically not enough nurses and the ones they have are totally incompetent along with the doctors. My husband was on oxygen when he arrived and when I could "finally" get in to see him they had NO oxygen on him, not even a monitor. I had to constantly ask for EACH and EVERYTHING to be done daily. They did not notice his left upper arm was hard and warm to the touch which I noticed which ended up being a large clot, they did not notice his foley was not draining urine which he then became septic and was transferred back to ICU Integris where he died. There was SO MUCH wrong with this place and I could go on and on and on and on about so many other things as well. And Integris's case manager which was very hateful lied and said I could get in Select every day at 7am-7pm as I was doing at Integris and that was not true. She was just trying to lighten her case load and didn't care where he went. In a nutshell, Select Specialty is a filthy, incompetent, non-caring facility. I do hope and pray whomever is considering this facility will read this review and go elsewhere to a competent caring facility with their loved one. Thank you.

It's been almost 2 years since they killed my son. If I'd known what I know now I wouldn't have…read moreever sent him to this hell hole! He'd start to improve and then suddenly get worse. First we were told that they wouldn't except him unless he had a trac. I get to select to discover they have lots of patients without one. Even in ICU He'd stated to breath on his own. But then they'd get him where he couldn't. They kept saying he was brain dead that he was not responding yet when I talked to him He'd look at me just not them. They said he was getting physical therapy but that wasn't true either the physical therapist would come in tell him to touch his hand but because he wasn't able to claimed he wasn't responding. I was giving him physical therapy and his swelling was going down and he was starting to move some on his own they claimed it was uncomfortable movement. The case manager was rude at best claimed she couldn't find him a placement yet I found him one in Salt Lake. They kept saying that he needed to come home on hospist and die. I was able to arrange for him to get dialas and ventilator help at home I just needed to be trained in how to do both they refused to help me learn. Kept saying he wouldn't last long enough to get transferred to Salt Lake they didn't even know about Salt Lake until I did all the footwork and made all the arrangements for the transfer. Everyday the so called Dr's would come to tell me he was dieing. For 2 months that's what I had a stedy diet of from these so called health providers. Then they came to tell me his eye had exploded and showed me an xray of a black brain. And insisted I sign a DNR once they got what they wanted in just a matter of minutes they'd unhooked him and made sure he was dieing! I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. There hasn't been a day since that I've not regarded signing the DNR all they wanted was him gone said he'd been there to long! They couldn't wait to get his transferred to somewhere He'd have had a chance to live. I didn't leave a star rating because there isn't anything less than nothing.
