We quickly found that we were going to have a private tour when it was just me and the BF that arrived. The guide, David, arrived on time (actually a little early) and met us right in front of La Maison du Chocolat a world class chocolatier. The tour does indeed take about 3.5 hours but it was filled with great experiences and information. It wasn't just about the food though, we were also sprinkled with the history of the St Germain de Pres region and its architecture. Throughout our journey, we experienced macarons, eclairs, bread, chocolate, fruit jellies that are all included in your experience. Sure you'll want to eat more from each store, but then you'll realize that you won't be able to eat anymore at the end of the tour if you just stuffed your face. Loved Poilane (the bakery), Patrick Roger and Pierre Hermes. David took time to educate us about the history that impacted each of these culinary artists which made each tasting all the more rich. David was friendly, fun and his English was flawless. You'll have to be comfortable walking and keep up with the quick pace of the city although I get the sense that they'll be flexible with all sorts of people. Would definitely recommend this tour to others! A great experience for those who are interested in experiencing a different level of Paris!

It was simple and easy through their website. Meet up location was easy to find. My tour guide is Alberto. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He told a lot of stories about all of the history monuments we visited. To be honest, I dislike history class, but I like listening to stories. Alberto did it in a nice way that interested me. I paid more attention to his tour more than my history professor in college! Tour was about 2.5 to 3 hours long. It was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you Alberto!

The museum has many different sections to visit and houses one of the largest collections of military weapons and other objets from the middle ages to the present. It also houses the St Louis des Invalides Cathedral. We visited in February 2026 and paid 17 euro each for entrance fee. Its opens at 10am and closes at 5:50pm. Plan to spend at least 3 to 4 hours here. We were here for the entire day and still did not get to see everything. Audio guides are free as long as you leave an ID with the desk. I would recommend getting the audio tour. There was massive construction going on in the enormous courtyard, so unfortunately this was not accessible. There is a cafe near Napoleans tomb which which we stopped on for hot chocolate and croissants and to rest.

On May 8, 2025, we…read morewere supposed to meet someone at the Henry IV statue at the Pont Neuf bridge at 3:15 to get our tickets for the 3:30 tour. We got there early enough to have lunch and walk around a bit. At 2:30 we went over to the statue and sat on a bench to enjoy the sights and wait for our tour. at 3:20, no one had showed up with tickets. We called the tour provider and they said they had notified Viator that this specific tour was oversold and that we were moved to the 3:00 tour. NO ONE ever told us. ON top of that, we were at the location at 2:45 (the time they said we needed to get the tickets at the statue) and NO ONE was there. We called Viator and they said we were considered "late" and they could not refund us, despite the fact that we were way early. at 3:37 pm, we received an email from Viator saying that our tour had changed to 3:00 pm and we needed to be at the statue at 2:45. nearly an HOUR after the time we were supposed to be there, they notified us. However, we WERE there. Viator still claims they cannot refund our tickets. I'll add, the email they sent us had a 3:00pm timed ticket to enter Notre Dame on our own, but we received it 37 minutes too late. This was a once in a lifetime trip, and to miss such a highlight as Notre Dame, after we've taken so much time to plan ahead, and pay nearly $200 for this unique experience.
