An interesting and award winning community business combining a Post Office, Teahouse and Gift…read moreShop. They serve light lunches and a wide range of cakes and pastries, served with a dizzying choice of teas and coffees. There's seating outside at the front and a side garden area, as well as inside. The staff are obliging and friendly. The only downside is that it isn't cheap: although used to London prices, I was a little taken aback that 6 teas/coffees and two cakes came to £27. I guess you're paying for the overhead to keep the premises open.

I've been to this main Post Office in Grantham & i've received unacceptable counter service as this…read morebranch has poor management. It begins from the queues which often reach the front door and the lack of counter staff put on. The staff look fed-up and one female staff doesn't even say "thank you" after my custom. The state of the shop looks a tip and very untidy. Worse is the female Manager, who defends bad customer service of her team and is rude and aggressive in her attitude if u dare complain to her. Other people in the town say exactly the same on poor experience there. If I could print my own proof of postage, i'd never go into another Post Office again! Hermes suits me fine & costs half the price to send a small parcel. I've voted Grantham-PO TERRIBLE and if there was a minus star as I don't even think it deserves 1-star.*

I…read morecame here to post all my Music Magpie parcels and dropped them all over the floor, and hardly anyone laughed at me. Even though it's clearly a local place for local people, and I am not local, because I live in Leeds and even if I lived in Woodhall Spa still, that's six whole miles away and a whole different kettle of fish to Horncastle and I'd definitely not be local then. Anyway, even though it's a local place for local people, everyone was very friendly and chatty and it was a very pleasant experience. The only drawback, which is an overall-whinge-at-Horncastle, is that you can't park anywhere without having to pay. Although it's only about 40p in the market place so it's about a million times better than Leeds.
