Situated along pedestrian alleyways, this location is fun for people watching. That said, it serves really good eats and decent value for money as well.
The sweet lassi is flavorful, lightly sweet with a touch of salt. One of the best I've had.
The appetizer platter was a bit disappointing, the food was lackluster--no punchy spice notes at all. Just tasted like filler.
But the lamb dum biriyiani came with a pastry cap. And the lamb within was fork tender. Rice was a bit on the squishy side, and the spices attenuated once again. But i applaud the effort.
Sadly, I think this restaurant has bowed to the pressure to restrain the heat and spicing--I am confident I can get a more authentic version next time if I requested India authentic heat.
