I don't know where to start. I had an awesome experience with everyone that works with Well Rounded Mama. I wanted to have a hospital birth but keep things as natural as possible with limited interventions. Many of the doulas I met with made me feel guilty about the ideas I had of an unmedicated birth in the hospital setting. I found Jillian through Well Rounded Mama. She was very supportive of my plan and was more optimistic than others I had met with. Jillian was the best resource I could have asked for during my pregnancy, labor and postpartum period as a doula. Her calming personality is professional yet so personable. She knows her craft and is an expert in her field. I took a breastfeeding class with Rory a couple weeks prior to having the baby. I was initially debating if it was necessary but came out of the course with a wealth of knowledge and learned so much more than I thought. I would highly recommend any mama looking to breastfeed take this course, we'll worth the time and Rory was a great instructor. Friend Lauren C. recommended this spot to me when I was considering hiring a doula for my first birth. Their website is helpful and informative, and we were able to submit a form to be contacted - we met Jasmine on site to hear more about their doula services and other offerings. If you know early on that you're interested in using a doula, contact them sooner rather than later, as they have Open House events where you can meet their various providers to see who might be a good fit for you. I ended up getting induced a week later and did not end up using a doula - while my delivery went just fine without, it's worth looking into if you can afford it, and there is evidence that their involvement can shorten labor and improve outcomes. As first-time (and probably only-time parents), we were more concerned about having someone able to fully explain options to us and advocate for what we wanted in the hospital environment. That being said, WRM has more than just doula services - they also have midwives and a lactation consultant, as well as several classes offered onsite that you can take before, during and after your pregnancy. My husband and I took their 2-hour Newborn Care Class and it was helpful to hear the most important info and ask questions right before we had our baby. The class included a helpful book with free access to an app, and was led by their lactation consultant, Rory. I know this review is long but PLEASE take the time to read, hiring a healthcare professional to assist you during and after birth is crucial to you and your baby's wellness. Don't make the same mistake we did. We hired Emily as an advanced doula from WRM when I was a little over 38wks. I didn't agree with my OBs decision to induce me early so even though I was so close to giving birth I considered going for the natural way instead. After meeting with Emily, my husband and I decided to labor at home and a hospital birth with Emily as our Doula. We only met with her Twice for prenatal care where we discussed my birth plan, and my main concerns about birth. I was very adamant about not wanting an induction. I also expressed my concerns regarding breastfeeding. She reassured me that even though things might not always go according to plan than she, as my doula/advocate will do her best to still give me the ideal birth I wanted by making sure my birth plan/requests are still honored. Also, that she will assist us with our transition taking our baby home. Everything sounded good. And I was looking forward to working with her. She said she can be in the OR during the delivery- she said it's all good because one of their owners actually sits on the board of Henderson Hospital. So they know her there and know her work. On the day my water broke I kept her posted. Texting and calling through contractions until it got really painful that my husband had to take over. Now just to really show you how unethical and uncompassionate Emily and this whole company is, She then asked for more money DURING LABOR!! stating that according to her contract half her doula fee of $1200 had to be paid before she can go to the hospital with us. We had already paid $900, and at the office she said we only needed to pay half prior the delivery and there will be a payment plan. We paid but this just left such a bad taste in my mouth. When Emily arrived at the hospital It had already been 36 hours since my water broke. My Doctor discussed the complications of a vaginal birth in my case. He suggested that I go for a c section because he thinks my baby will be 9-10 pounds & gave us a couple of hours to make a decision. I was so scared and so frustrated. I was in pain! After long consideration, we didn't want to take such great risks and decided to go for the surgery. Prior to going into surgery I Spoke with Emily again about my birth plan. I asked her if she will be there with me to watch over the whole thing and she said Yes. I really expected her to be present in the OR, as she will act as my advocate making sure my requests for my birth and baby were honored. I thought even if it's a c section, my birth can still be somewhat ideal. Unfortunately, most things on my plan were not followed: - I did not get immediate skin to - My baby's vernix was wiped off. - Cord clamping was Not delayed. - Exams for baby were not delayed. - Vaginal swab for cesarean birth was not done. Needless to say, I was so sad about this. Emily bought us dinner, took pictures & then left...since she can't do any sort of medical assistance there, she might as well be just any other visitor. She might as well just text us and act like a virtual doula because she was of no use to us at the hospital. After delivery my main concern was my baby's latch and breastfeeding. Emily sent me a "How to breastfeed" YouTube video the night of my delivery - like I will have the time to watch that?! I could have looked that up myself. These are all examples of her failing to show up for us. The first hours with my child are incredibly important! I needed immediate post partum care/ lactation assistance! Once you're in hospital care they hit you with "It's a liability!" Therefore their care cannot be provided. All their help are now deemed useless. If we fully understood this ' you're now under Hospital care caveat, that they can't intervene because it's all up to our doctors and nurses now, we wouldn't have hired WRM in the first place. When you complain about the lack of care/ services, get ready to be answered with...well technically it's in your contract so sorry. You're trying to cover with technicalities now? From a contract we unwittingly signed on an iPad for one minute on our way out the door. We had a TWO HOUR!! consultation with them, you'd think they'd take two minutes to go through the contract/ scope of services and limitations with you before taking your money. We tried setting up a meeting to discuss our experience multiple times in the course of 2 weeks, Not a single staff member from the WRM office returned our calls or bothered to get back to us. My Midwife tori Hinkle, was fabulous excluding that my water broke three days before I ended up in the emergency room. And she told me not to tell them my water broke three days prior. On top of that she recommended Lexi to be my Doula who ended up being a thief and took/stole my brand new Louis Vuitton Purse. Social media gave me all the proof I need. She posted photos with the bag, not sure a mother of 4 living with a tattoo artist then with a room mate could or would buy a $3100 bag. I did reach out to my midwife and Lexi told me she would pay me back. You're supposed to trust these people sharing the most important day of your life with you and helping you. I paid $13,000 to be taken advantage of. Lock all your valuables up if you have them in your home.. read more

If you are keen on dealing with trauma caused by your midwife, you should hire Sherry Hopkins at WRM! I met her in 2019 and she was my midwife for my two home births. I was grateful for my home births and I cared so much about Sherry and did my best to support her out of love, when her family faced a huge tragedy. We became friends, or so I thought. In Dec. 2023, she told me she received texts from a number that she didn't recognize, from someone who would not identify themselves. She asked me if I was sending the messages. I told her that I was definitely not the one sending them. In Jan. 2024, she told me she'd received an anonymous letter. I again told her that I had nothing to do with it. She clearly didn't believe me and blocked me on social media. She then started texting my husband. She sent him screenshots of her text conversations with unknown numbers. She told my husband that her daughter and students were receiving messages too. In one screenshot, the person texting identified themselves as "Chelsea". She saw this as evidence that the messages were from me. The messages in the screenshots were horrific, and full of obscenities. They were full of spelling and grammatical errors and said things that have never come out of my mouth, yet she was convinced they were from me. What came next presents a character issue that you may want to consider prior to hiring her. She told my husband I have postpartum depression and need therapy. She expressed sudden faux concern as my "care provider". This was an entire year after her role as my care provider concluded. With no evidence of any of the messages she received being from the actual me, she told my husband that she was going to get her attorney involved, as well as the police and CPS. She said that's because she's a mandated reporter. My husband told her to call the police and figure out who was sending the messages, as it was not me. She repeated her plan after I again explained that I had nothing to do with the messages she was receiving and I asked her to stop contacting us. I then called the police and filed a report to explain what I was being accused of and shared the messages she had been sending to my husband. The following day she called CPS, who had the police reach out to my husband and I, to ask if I wanted to harm myself or my children. I referred to my earlier report and they asked if I knew anything about her mental health status. Imagine for a moment that the care provider whom you trusted with your life and your children's lives at the time of their births, decides to report you to CPS with false accusations while using their professional role to try to bolster their baseless claim. Unprofessional is one word for it, gross is another. She then asked if we were at home as she wanted to bring us a "gift." She followed that with a screenshot of texts that included a selfie of herself, giving the middle finger, and a paragraph of words unbecoming of a care provider who cares primarily for women. Finally, she called my husband twice. He didn't answer and she left a voicemail. In her voicemail she identified herself, my husband and me by name and threatened to come over to our house and make me stop sending the messages she was accusing me of sending. Her final words to him were to "get control of your f-ing wife." I had blocked her and just recently realized that she had left me two voicemails a few hours prior to the one she left for my husband. In them, she was mockingly sweet and one said "Hey Chelsea, it's Sherry, your bestie. Why don't you give me a call when you can, I would love to hear from you, just wanna hear your sweet, sweet voice..." I'm glad she didn't show up to my house after threatening to, because my oldest kid loved her and wants to be a midwife someday. I didn't want my child's view of Sherry to be marred. Alas, one of the greatest benefits of hiring a midwife can be one of its greatest drawbacks as well. Your midwife gets to know your whole family. Consider this carefully, before you introduce your family to Sherry. I've never had someone call me a four-letter word that starts with c, ends with t, and is a vulgar way of referring to a woman. I guess she thinks she called me that. She sent a screenshot of the conversation she thought she was having with me. I don't know who she actually called that, but my guess is that he lives with her. This isn't about his choices. This is about her words and actions, which she is fully responsible for. I have reclaimed my birth stories in my memories, I was the powerful woman who birthed my babies, and my family was at the center of my births. I am grateful for what I learned from her, about humans like her. I do wish that I'd learned in a less painful way. She told me that everyone abandons her when she doesn't meet their expectations. I realize now what a convenient excuse this is. I hope she seeks healing for herself, so she stops hurting those she uses and controls. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I hired a doula, Jillian Young, to attend my hospital birth. Being a first time mom, I had extreme anxiety about labor & delivery and chose to invest in a doula to coach me through it. For 2 days I was showing early labor signs (2 weeks before my due date) and I kept Jillian updated with all of my symptoms. After being told numerous times it could be signs of an infection, false labor, etc. I finally decided to go into the hospital when I just couldn't sleep through the pain. Sure enough I was having contractions and my water broke when I arrived. After being at the hospital for 5 hours, we gave Jillian the green light to come to the hospital once we had our room, she THEN decides to inform me that she is out of town but didn't want to say anything. After birth, we decided to request a refund ($900) but we did offer to pay Jillian for her support (we met with her twice before birth). They ultimately decided to refund us $500 and kept $400 of our money. (their reason was because they offered to send a back up doula that I had NEVER met and we declined. Keep in mind this was thrown at us while we were already 4 hours into our hospital stay because she didn't want to inform us she was out of town). Disappointed with both the company and Jillian, as a business owner myself in a service based company, I could never imagine charging a family $400 for a service that I never provided. Customer service and referrals are so much more important for a business. I would not recommend this company strictly due to their unethical business practices. read more

There are no words to describe how much Jillian helped us through our labor & delivery. I wasn't someone who thought they'd ever have a doula but Jillian was a pleasant surprise. She is the perfect balance between professional and personal. Even though we didn't decide to have a doula until 2months before my due date, Jillian still made us feel like we were important and it felt like we had been with her the entire pregnancy. We never felt like we out of place as people who were late to knowing the benefits of having a doula instead Jillian made sure to answer all of our questions and always leave room for discussion if we wanted it. During my labor Jillian took into account everything we had talked about prior when it came to my likes and dislikes. For us Jillian was a barrier between us as the couple and the medical staff. It felt so nice to have someone as an in between so we could enjoy this huge intimate experience. When my labor came to a stop and I was told I needed to move to a C-Section, Jillian stayed at the hospital until we came out to recovery and I was alert. Jillian became a support system not only for myself but for my husband. After leaving the hospital and going home, Jillian stopped by a few days later and we were able to discuss my birth story. This was extremely helpful as some the events I wanted to process and just talk about my experience. She played a huge role in our birth experience and story. I just gave birth and was advised by my OB, nurses, and other medical staff at the hospital to not take my placenta home because of the positive Strep B result. Even "dehydrated at 160-180 degrees" is a risk to myself and the baby. When I called and emailed to explain this, they said "We are sorry you were misinformed by your doctor" and told me I would not receive a refund. Then I guess the entire medical staff at St. Rose Hospital is misinforming people? Right... This business does not truly care about the well being of a mom and baby. It's a money making sham. Scheduled an appointment with a LC... Rory. She came to my house and assessed me and the baby. She picked out the proper flange size for pumping...which was a lifesaver. She also determined my baby had a tie and to get evaluated further if she wasnt gaining weight. Overall it was a great and comfortable experience with her. She was extremely knowledgeable. I also developed mastitis down the road and texted her and she responded to my text immediately with assistance. Would def recommend! The home visit option is awesome!!! read more

Her knowledge, experience, encouragement, and overall support allowed me to make the best decisions for my baby and I when my birth experience didn't go as desired. This empowerment was crucial for me to feel confident and continue feeling confident when baby and I were home. Jillian Young is amazing! When I found out I was pregnant I had a huge desire to have a natural home birth experience. However, I had so much fear and so many questions. I chose Jillian as my doula because from our first conversation, she gave me such a sense of confidence in myself, my body, and birth itself. Our prenatal visits put my mind at ease and prepared me to head into labor with confidence. She was always so prompt and attentive to texts and phone calls when I had questions all throughout my pregnancy. The day of my labor Jillian was everything I needed and more. She never left my side, supporting me mentally and physically from first contraction to making us our first meal in bed with our new baby. She supported me with such intuition and love. I rarely had to mention what I needed, she was there before I could say the words. My husband says hiring Jillian as our doula was the best money we've ever spent! It allowed him and I to focus on laboring as team while she took care of everything else. My labor was a truly beautiful experience that I look back on fondly. It was so convenient that she is also a tub tech and can encapsulate placentas. We didn't have to have someone else come in to set up the tub. She took care of all of that and cleaned everything up while we enjoyed our new baby girl. We woke up in the morning to a clean house including laundry done and folded. She took my placenta with her and returned it encapsulated within the next week. Jillian was such a huge blessing and one of the biggest reasons my birth experience was a successful, relatively 'quick', and truly positive experience. I pray the same for you! Update: My daughter is now a year old and Jillian is still serving our family. I have called and text her on multiple occasions in a new-mom-panic. If you are expecting or planning to start a family you need to check out Well Rounded Momma! They offer a wide variety of resources for antepartum and postpartum. Well Rounded Momma offers midwives for prenatal care and home births, doula services, a variety of educational classes, a breastfeeding support group, and fitness classes. The women here are supportive of all families with all types of birth plans. They support women having home births or hospital births. The goal here is to support your choices. The main reason I came to WRM was to hire a doula for labor. My husband and I attended one of the monthly open houses with the doulas. Each doula briefly speaks to go over their approach and then there's time at the end to speak to the doulas you're interested in. WRM encourages setting up at least three doula interviews before choosing one. After leaving the open house I felt like I would have been comfortable with any of the doulas because they all seemed great. I only interviewed two, Emily and Jillian. Both are amazing and knowledgeable so it was a hard choice. The doula services are actually more than "just" labor support. My package included two antepartum visits and two postpartum visits in addition to labor support. This also includes doula backup in case your doula can't be at your birth. Jillian was my doula. During my pregnancy she came to my home twice. We went over my birth plan and wishes. She was also able to answer questions and make sure that I had things I needed for postpartum. We kept in touch by text leading up to delivery. Once I was in the hospital she was flexible with coming when I wanted her to be there. Per my preference she was at the hospital twice during labor. She was very encouraging and followed my lead on what I needed. I very much appreciated the hip squeezes. It was also nice that she was able to be with me immediately after delivery since the medical staff pulled my husband away. Jillian also thought to take lots of photos with my phone right after my daughter was born. She captured so many special moments that would have otherwise been missed. Once we were home Jillian came over to help troubleshoot nursing issues. She even brought me delicious lactation cookies that she baked. Her visits and support were tailored to when I needed her. At the time of my daughter's birth the doula package was $900 and absolutely worth every penny. My husband initially didn't understand why I wanted a doula, but ended up thinking this was some of the best money spent. Having a doula during labor was beneficial to him as well. He was able to step away without leaving me alone. He also appreciated that she was able to help with nursing once we were home and answer questions leading up to delivery. During my pregnancy I took several classes here since my hospital didn't offer many classes. I took the breastfeeding class, fourth trimester class, and newborn care class. They were inexpensive and easy to schedule online. The breastfeeding class and fourth trimester classes provided lots of helpful information. The newborn care class instructor was very nice, but the best information was only briefly covered at the very end. When nursing issues struck I came here for the nursing support group. Rory, the lactation consultant was able to answer my questions as well as send me links for more help. The group isn't just for support, it's social so it was nice to hang out for a bit and talk to other new moms too. Support for moms is so important. Please check out WRM! read more

Wow, just wow! How do I begin to articulate the beautiful experience I had working with Sherry and the entire Well Rounded Momma team? I am a first time mom and knew that I wanted to do an unmedicated home birth if everything looked healthy, and I can gratefully say we welcomed our first baby girl in late January at home in the most sacred, beautiful, nourishing birth supported by the WRM team. I have multiple friends around the country who were pregnant at the same time as me and I was often shocked hearing about how impersonal and brief their support was in the traditional settings. As I studied more and more about birth and how natural it is, I knew I wanted to find a birth team that treated birth like a natural process instead of an emergency. What I experienced at every appointment, in each class we took (couldn't believe they were all included!!), and through our birth and beyond, was what I feel every pregnant person deserves. If I am lucky enough to have more children, I will most certainly be doing so with WRM and with Sherry Hopkins as my midwife. I had someone from this company come to my home for lactation support. The person informs me that they are not a medical professional and can't give medical advice. However this person looked/checked out my daughter and tells me that my daughter is tongue tied. When I tell the person that the hospital never said anything about it I was told that's what they do. I'm sorry, but unless you are a medical professional DO NOT say that someone's child is tongue tied. Especially to a first time parent who is paranoid and an over thinker. My wife took the hypnobirthing class some years back. I went with her. The classes themselves were very informative and made us feel more prepared for the birthing experience. My wife was in labor for 3 days. The hypnobirthing strategies worked for her on the first day. After that, the exhaustion and pain really set in and the hypnobirthing strategies went out the window. Our issue isn't with the hypnobirthing classes. It's with the persistent and unprofessional contact that Mandie continues to have with her hypnobirthing students even years after the class. Mandie makes it well known that she is a real estate agent. And through those classes, she tries hard to find her clients. After the classes, she continues to send our family mail to our address, phone calls, voice-mails and text messages which are essentially her sale pitches and tactics to get you into her office. It's been years since those classes, and we have never followed up with her real estate pitches, and yet she continues to contact us. Mandie, please get the hint. What you're doing is completely unprofessional. Keep your positions as a birthing teacher and a real estate agent separate. Nobody likes to be bothered multiple times a year with phony friendliness for the sake of getting money into your pockets. This company, Well Rounded Momma, really should not be allowing their staff to do this and I can't believe they haven't checked her on this yet. I found well rounded momma online searching for a midwife, after reading bios of the midwives I decided to go with Tori let me tell you that she's a sweetheart VERY easy and comfortable to have met her! She's amazing she makes me feel as if I've known her forever VERY accommodating always answers my calls whenever I need her. I would definitely do it again with her I was in search for a Doula as well and she recommended one of her close friends LEXI My experience with Lexi was great!! From the first appointment where my husband and I met her, we felt instant relief and reassurance about our decision. She's educated, informative, personable, kind, understanding... I can keep going. She had an immediate, informed answer for any question or concern we had. She jumped right in and made up for lost time. She never made me feel like I was late to the game. She offered me one of her birthing tubs so I didn't have to worry about renting one. I seriously can't explain how in one hour, she eased 32 weeks of constant anxiousness and fear. This is my 5th baby. I had given birth in the hospital with a doctor for my first 4. My births were "normal" and fine, and I really don't know why I felt such a strong urge to be home this time, but I am so glad I listened to my gut. Home is exactly where we needed to be. When the time came, I sent a text to my doula and Tori. We texted back and forth a bit before she called me to feel out where things were. I remember feeling so calm just having her on the line, and within an hour from the start of my contractions, she walked in my door. She got everything set up in my bedroom and I got out of the bathroom tub and came in to the birthing tub in my room. After a few contractions she asked me if I was comfortable in the position I was in. I hadn't even thought of that. No. I wasn't, but I just assumed I should be uncomfortable at this point. She recommended that I get into a more comfortable position and as soon as I did, I almost immediately started to push. This part makes me teary-eyed every time. She's THAT good. She sensed I wasn't comfortable and also knew I could be more comfortable. She cared. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to finally have a birth professional get to know me so well in such a short time. To pay that much attention to the state I was in and somehow just... know. Our healthy baby boy was born, caught by Tori and placed into my arms. The couple hours after he was born, of course consisted of getting me cleaned up, both baby and I checked out etc. but it just felt like we were hanging out with some of our best friends, laughing hysterically and making beautiful memories that I'll never forget. The vibe was amazing. The whole entire thing was amazing. SHE is amazing. The aftercare was just as great. She came to our home once and we've had in-office visits at Well Rounded Momma since. She just makes you feel comfortable and gives you (and baby) all of her attention when you're with her. I've thanked her already, but I want to do it again. THANK YOU!! Y'all, if you need a friend, she's a really good one. If you need a laugh, she is seriously hilarious. If you need a fantastic midwife, Tori is your girl. Do not recommend. I paid for placenta encapsulation services but unfortunately wasn't able to take home with me. Their website says you can get a refund if you can't complete services. When I requested a refund multiple times, they gave me the run around. Then they didn't reply to my emails or answer their business phone. Extremely unprofessional and tacky. There are many other businesses that offer this service. Don't risk paying for the service with this company. read more

I had the pleasure of having both my boys delivered by Tiffanie! We absolutely loved her so much the 1st time that we had to go back to her with our 2nd. The communication with her was amazing, she made herself available to you 24-7. My first was a normal birth and my 2nd was a water birth. I did home some slight complications with my 2nd but nothing that Tiffanie couldn't handle. If we were to try again for the 3rd (which is not in our plans lol) I'd definitely go back to WRM. The experience is by far the most rewarding thing I've done in my life and I'm glad I shared it with Tiffanie. She will forever be apart of that. read more

I would like to take a minute to thank Jillian for my placenta encapsulation. unfortunately i was unable to use her duala services but went ahead and utilized her for my placenta encapsulation. Jillian was so kind and informative from the day I met her. She responded quickly once I told her I had delivered my baby and was ready for my placenta to be picked up, within hours from my delivery she picked up the placenta & she had the capsules to me within a day. I really love this place. They offer every service available that is related to pregnancy and birth. There are yoga classes, breast feeding classes, home birthing assistance, and every other service you can think of. I did not have a home birth, but I did take advantage of their breast feeding class before my son was born. You learn about the benefits of breast feeding, positioning, diet tips and so much more. After taking the class, I felt much more confident in my ability to breast feed. I learned so much and the instructor was knowledgeable. I forgot her name, but she is a mom as well, so she had first hand experience on what to do. By the time my son arrived, I was able to position him properly and he latched instantly. Even the lactation nurse in the hospital asked if I had taken a class because I did not need her assistance. That gave me a confidence boost :) Fast forward almost 3 months after my son was born. I noticed that my breast milk supply was dwindling and I refuse to give him formula. My sister in law suggested "Nursing Magic" which is an all natural herbal supplement to help increase production. She said it worked miracles while she was breast feeding her daughter. The employee working the day I visited was helpful and knew exactly what I needed. It's been a few days since I've been taking these pills and I can already see an increase in my milk flow. Yay!!!! They also sell other products like creams, teas, nursing covers and so much more. After 2 unecessary c sections I was DONE with hospitals and doctors messing with me and ruining my life. I was willing risk it all and give birth at home alone with my husband and God, but compromised with my family and looked for a midwife. SHERRY my angel gave me the confidence and support I needed to attempt a home birth after 2 c-sections. I had a beautiful home birth and Sherry did everything for me. I think about her all the time and what she did for me and my family. CAPRI was my doula and she was just as amazing. I met most of the midwives and they all seem to be awesome, experienced, and very sweet. I went with Sherry for her experience with delivery vbacs and God told me that she was there to help me!! Rory came out to my home today to provide me with lactation counseling and I had a wonderful experience! It was such a huge relief to have someone who was willing to come to my home, especially on a weekend, because with 4 kids it isn't easy to get out. Rory was patient, kind, understanding, compassionate, and thorough. I was very impressed with her knowledge and patience, and so grateful that she spent the time with me that I needed and never made me feel rushed. It's so hard to put into words how Tori changed my life. Our experience with Tori as our Midwife was amazing! We initially hired her to be our doula for my VBAC but through all our appointments, emails, and phone calls, her knowledge and patients guided me to a more tailed birth. I chose to homebirth after a chaotic first birth with my son in a hospital setting. I loved that Tori was always willing to give ALL the research based options without her judgement. She empowered us to make decisions about our birth and baby. Even when I was feeling stress because I thought I was "over do", she was so reassuring and calm. Then at my homebirth, she just let me labor and supported from afar while still monitoring to make sure my baby and I were safe. She encouraged me through the whole 12 hours of labor! I've never felt so empowered by my decision to have a VBAC at home and I couldn't have done it without the support and comfort of Tori. Once my birth was over, I was ready to get pregnant and do it all again! As far as Well Rounded Momma, there is no place like it. The encouragement and warmth that comes from this place can not be replicated. The classes are amazing and the birth professionals are on point. I love these women! read more

Only reason we gave a 3 star is because of Emily the Doula. If considering the midwife we had (Sara) I would probably give 1 star. Emily the doula is absolutely AMAZING person, very attentive, caring and helpful, Very knowledgeable of the process and can add so much to both the mother and father before and after the pregnancy. By all means recommended to every pregnant woman. However, the midwife we had (Sara) was quite the disappointment, I'll recommend anyone who plan a home delivery to consider very carefully all the aspects of it and think of all the risks and required tests that new born need to do, something that was not provided to us by the midwife. Sara was not as attentive as our doula before or after the delivery, plus when considering home delivery, always discuss the option that if you will have to be rushed to hospital- what are the payment arrangements in such scenario, else you'll end up paying for both! And you won't get any relief from the midwife. Sorry but being honest I would not recommend anyone to hire her. read more

After spending what felt like an eternity trying to conceive our son, I sought out Sherry because I knew the hospital was not the place for birth even before conception (barring any medical conditions requiring a medical setting). Sherry is the most qualified, kind, centered, loving, and knowledgeable person I could have ever hoped to meet. Tiffany's relaxed way of being always put Jess at ease. This was Jess's first pregnancy so it was important to us to have Tiffanie with us every step of the way on the big day. When the day came that is exactly what we got. Tiffanie was there, with an assistant, to guide us every step of the way through the experience. Her expert guidance made Jess's labor much more comfortable. We felt safe and well cared for throughout. Our baby Jonah was born with out any issues or concerns, for him or Jess despite being almost 10lbs, and he received all the care he needed upon birth right there at home. I am so thankful for WRM and their team of amazing individuals. Sarah was my midwife and I could not have had the birth I wanted without her love and support. Living away from all family and most friends, I wasn't sure if I would have the support I would need to do a home birth but found WRM and met Sarah and an open house. I cannot say enough good things about the women and birth professionals who are well-rounded momma. My husband and I attended several birth courses led by Rory, their lactation specialist who also supported us with latching the first few days after my son was born. I had interviewed one other midwife before connecting with Sherry (the previous person was not a good fit) quite late into my pregnancy. Sherry's expertise and trust in birth directed us in having the birth experience we wanted. And I am forever grateful. I was able to work with several other members of the WRM community throughout my pregnant and birth including Jillian who provided doula services, set up of our birthing tub and placenta encapsulation. Because of her tenure as a birth worker Sherry was also able to connect us to other care providers for my son including a dentist who specialized in tongue ties (whom we used to have my sons tongue and lip tie amended) a speech and language therapist as well as a pediatrician to whom I have referred multiple friends. I would not have had the confidence or peace in my birth experience or my first year of motherhood without her. 5 stars plus a MILLION more to our midwife Sarah Sorvillo! She is an amazing midwife who went ABOVE and BEYOND our expectations. Every prenatal visit she spent as much time as we needed going over questions and checking to make sure everything was going well with our baby girl. Sarah took the time to explain to us all the financial parts, any testing that was available to us for the baby and she even paid us a house visit at 35 weeks to check on me and make sure I wasnt going into labor early! Her knowledge of herbs and supplements to help support the body during pregnancy is incredible! We planned to have a home delivery with our 4th child but our little girl had other plans and did not want to come out! Sarah helped us transfer to a hospital and was by our side during the delivery.
