Cemetries aren't the most pleasurable of places to go but this one is quite large in size so there is plenty of freedom to have a quiet stroll on a pleasant day but perhaps not the best of places to have a family picnic when you have Sefton Park, a 5 minute drive away! Whether I would want to be buried here remains a question - probably yes. All Liverpool cemetries are similar in nature so there wouldn't be much difference with only the 'location' being a key factor. At least there aren't any signs of vandalism or hoodies about. Before you come back at me with "But that's what all graveyards are," and "Seriously? You're reviewing a graveyard?" bear in mind the labyrinthine decorum of other, grander places. European corpse-meadows, for instance, are little worlds in their own, where you don't feel awkward strolling around. Toxteth Cemetery isn't this at all. You feel intrusive even if you cut through it and despite being home to a good portion of my rotting ancestry, I still wouldn't want to end up here. I'd rather be buried in Asda.

Nevertheless, Springwood cemetery is a lovely place to let your carcass rot into eternity, mainly because it's so large, big enough to necessitate a trio of chapels. It's the closest thing this city has to those vast European places with a thick forest of headstones and complex stone memorials, most of them standing above incredibly famous corpses. Springwood is a lush, organised cemetery that is pleasant to walk around, but if you're out for a stroll there's much less morbid places nearby that you could just go to instead. Otherwise there's a danger you'll glance a funny name on a tombstone and giggle in front of a funeral. And that's just awkward.

So, this is puzzling to say the least. Anyhow, Everton Cemetry is as good as most other cemetries in terms of the space it offers. There is a busy main road that outskirts its perimeter but as you walk further into to graveyard, it does get more tranquil. One thing I did notice, is that a minority of the headstones had fallen over which suggests the space is vulnerable to high winds or the stones weren't installed properly. This is obviously not such a good sign. However, I did not see any evidence of vandalism. As the area is concerned, if you don't have your own transport, it isn't a convenient destination to arrive at since there aren't many buses that run frequently. Apart from that, it appears that there are still plenty of spaces for future burials!

As we all know dealing with the loss of someone close is never easy and having to arrange funeral matters is something which no person looks forward to doing but luckily places such as this are on hand to provide help and support. The staff here are excellent and carry themselves with the utmost professionalism and care and this is something which every person is greatful for at a time of great distress. The prices here are reasonable and the options vast meaning that the last wishes of any person can be catered and cared for. On the whole Cravens are a credit to their industry and come highly recommended.

Very large cemetery. We were looking for graves from the 1930's early 40's without headstones. I…read morenearly gave up when I saw the size of the entire cemetery, it is in sections on a plan but when you are actually standing at the entrance it is a daunting task to find graves just off a map. We were helped by a very kind and helpful superintendent who showed us that all headstones have a section number and a grave number on the back. I think we were lucky to get some help as all the workers were very busy tending to this lovely well kept cemetery. It is very big, but well kept and still there seems to be plenty of room for a few more years to come.

This one is definitely a 4 as cemeteries are concerned. I couldn't' give it a 5 because I'm sure there are bigger and better ones out there ... It's absolutely gorgeous. The old parts of it are fascinating, and deliciously-gothic. The church is beautiful as well. Well worth a visit for those who love old architecture, churches, cemeteries, and history.

I think it's the peace and quiet mixed with the park-like atmosphere provided by old, gnarly trees and wild flowers. I grew up in the country, so every chance I get to spend time in nature here, I grab. Rake Lane Cemetery is a really big, peaceful cemetery in Wallasey that makes a good place for long walks and meandering thoughts. I walk by here a lot and notice that even on bright sunny days there aren't that many people walking in there, though sometimes there are a few. Also, if you like to photograph grave stones as some people do, there are plenty of old ones here worth shooting. I know I sound morbid when I say this, but this is a very pretty cemetery.

Well I have organised 4 funerals and from the start this one was different. The offices are modern, bright and welcoming. Robert and Karen embody real professionalism without the overbearing approach one sometimes gets in this profession. Our every wish/want/need was attended to in a wonderfully caring manner. I know that my mother would most definitely have approved (and she was a very pedantic lady) I cannot recommend this burgeoning company too highly and I know that, should you use them, you will be as pleased and satisfied as we are.
