Once I became upset (cried...so embarrassing) and I pressed the issue only then someone who actually knew what they were doing became a part of the conversation and it was made clear checks from a trust do not require a hold. They made me so upset for no reason. I would NOT recommend this bank.

Examples are numerous but let's start with we "tried" to open accounts for our kids and teach them money management this bank could even set up the account. We tried to transfer and small amount to get the account and they didn't do that. Well they did one but not the other. Here is even a worse case their mortgage lender Andy told me it would be no problem to get a construction loan and when the time came to do the loan the uppers said no. I'm mean I'm A paper and this idiot basically wasted my time and I had to struggle to get another loan. Ps a full 3/4 of a point lower also. Here's another case they couldn't even wire transfer money to my sister without it being a ridiculous headache for me. She was closing on a house and need some quick assist. This wire transfer took 3 days and my sister almost lost the house. The cards they give you don't work out of state so if you need actual cash heads up don't travel with a SECU card and expect to be able to take out cash. The cards for my kids accounts never work even though I called in person while I was at the bank to make sure they were working properly. Basically I will be spending the day moving all my auto payments and banking today because the bank just sucks. Seriously state employees, of which both my wife and I, should sue this bank for the tarnish of state employees reputation they slander and devalue with their incompetence. Seriously those with real banking need avoid this bank!

Terrible branch of SECU, which is unfortunate as the Credit Union is excellent everywhere else in…read morethe state. I had a card go slightly delinquent on payment. Instead of reaching out via phone or EVEN certified mail they mailed three letters to an address I am at only part of the year and then cancelled. Of course they were able to call to collect after the account had been closed, and also ACKNOWLEDGED that they were supposed to call between every letter and had not, but still refused to reinstate the card, stating I would have to apply for a new credit card. Will be moving my money out of SECU all together thanks to this branch. Like really, how does my bank have better customer service and less predatory practices than my credit union.

Now I can't talk to a human at my branch they can't fix my bill pay that was messed up when their system merged. It's a stinking nightmare. I've called 5 times a day for 2 days straight- can't get a person to help me. I'll be looking for a new bank.
