Customer Service is absolutely ridiculous. The wait time is absolutely insane. Having an appointment and still have to wait over hour plus! Getting a call saying " are you still coming to your appt" we over booked! Well yes... I made an APPOINTMENT for a reason! I can understand a little behind, but waiting for long wait times with an appointment is not ok! I watched 3 people walk out that had an appointment, And no employee stated a word to them! I've been banking as Wells Fargo for over 20 years and this is the first time I'm considering leaving Wells Fargo! This is the only location closest to me from Ooltewah TN! After thousands of customers, the 2.0-star rating for the Wells Fargo branch at 739 Battlefield Pkwy in Fort Oglethorpe appears to be well earned. I recently had to handle a sensitive family financial matter involving multiple accounts after a death in the family. While I understand these processes can involve internal procedures and compliance requirements, what should have been a manageable banking transaction turned into nearly 7 hours across two separate visits just to gain access to funds that should have been straightforward to retitle and transfer. The most frustrating part was not the process itself. It was the complete lack of teamwork and leadership inside the branch. The one employee who consistently demonstrated professionalism and genuine concern was Edi. She clearly cared, returned calls, followed up, and did everything she could to move the process forward. Unfortunately, she appeared to be left largely on her own to navigate a complicated internal system that she was still trying to fully master. Rather than proactively supporting her, others in the branch seemed content to wait until asked for help. Nick, who clearly understood the systems better than others, chose at one point to raise his voice at me during the interaction instead of helping de-escalate an already frustrating situation. That kind of behavior toward a customer dealing with a family death is unacceptable under any circumstance. The biggest disappointment, however, was the leadership. After more than 3 hours waiting during my second visit, Assistant Branch Manager Erik finally approached me only after being prompted to do so. His initial response was essentially that there was nothing he could do. No apology. No ownership of the situation. No effort to actively assist the employee struggling through the process. He quickly offered to let me file a complaint, but offered very little actual leadership until it became clear the issue would have to be resolved before closing time. That was the moment the urgency suddenly changed. At any point during those hours, leadership could have stepped in, checked on the situation, supported their employee, communicated proactively, or simply treated the customer with empathy and respect. None of that happened. One of the reasons organizations decline is because of the behavior leadership chooses to tolerate. This branch does not appear to suffer from a lack of intelligence or capability. It suffers from a lack of accountability, teamwork, urgency, and customer care. If Wells Fargo corporate leadership reads these reviews, they should understand this: Edi is not the problem. The branch culture and leadership response are. If you cannot avoid Wells Fargo altogether, I would strongly recommend using another branch. read more

On Thursday Dec 18 I spent 47 minutes on line waiting for a customer service representative to answer. So we decided to go in person to the branch in Ft Oglethorpe, GA. We waited for 20 minutes to be seen. We explained the banker that we ONLY need to place my wife phone number in my credit card. She asked several questions & agreed to place it. Today I went to check my balance & no phone number had been add. I tried to call the branch, rang, rang rang & they sent my call to the 800 number. Bank charges $10 per cashiers check- serious rip off. They also use senior citizens in their teller line of 2 service providers so although the service will be really friendly, don't expect it to be quick. Not a lunchtime transAction kinda place. read more

With all the fraud and abuse to their customers I was surprise to see they were even still in business! Unfortunately, I had to go into the Fort Oglethorpe office to change a mortgage address for my incapacitated son. I brought with me the notarized copy of the Power of Attorney, that I have used in every business transaction over the last four years including the IRS. Well, Well Fargo demanded to have the original! Rule number one with a POA, NEVER EVER give anyone the original, it should be kept in a safe deposit box. I tried to explain this to the customer service woman, her response was it's their legal policy. I understand companies have policies, I may not agree with them, but they need to make sense. I asked what are they going to do with the original POA, guess what the answer is. Make a copy! I even said to her, if this POA was a fraud, the worst I could do is pay off the mortgage. My son does not have any other accounts with Wells Fargo so I can't do anything but pay it off. I filed a formal complaint. It was resolved within their 10 day working day period. There is a reason this bank has been in the news. They will absolutely refuse to acknowledge fraud, no matter how obvious. My information was stolen at the Kroger. Kroger did right the bank still said it was my doing. I know several people who use this bank, I am not the only one this has happened to. Good bye Wells Fargo. You just lost a customer with zero overdrafts and account that never went below 1000. read more

I have had good experiences with this branch and with Wells Fargo. The person opening our accounts was courteous and the overall experience was great. The online banking is fantastic. I have a teenager and he has his own account. I am able to monitor it and deposit money as I need to online. We have had our mortgage here for ten years and have been very satisfied there also. read more

Horrible banking experience! I am a professional painter and I came into this location only to be judged and stereotyped as I made a withdrawal of several thousand dollars from my account. Brennan was my teller. Devout racist! The other tellers, were actually whispering that exact sentiment. Brennan simply walked away and told me he was going to get my cash. Lie number one. Worth, asked for my debit card a second time after Brennan and said he hadn't viewed my account when both he and Brennan were perusing through my records. I could see my name in big bold letters Worth! That was lie number two! I became irritated as I was in the bank for about 35mins at this point. (All of which can be camera verified as I'm seriously considering taking legal action.) Lie number three was that the Branch Manager would contact me. Phone records show no such call was ever made. Just terrible! Of course I'm a black man. This must stop!! This will stop! read more
