This is one of the worst banks I have ever used. My husband set up our account initially and every…read moresingle time i have logged into the app it will keep me logged in for a month or two and then kick me out and tell me my password is wrong, my phone number is invalid and my social security is not recognized even though all of that information is in their system. Then when you go into the bank the tellers are rude and act like I'm wasting their time because I can't figure out my account. On top of that, if there is a suspected fraudulent charge they just turn off your card and don't tell you. I have had my card turned off for at least a half a dozen separate instances in 3 years with zero emails or calls notifying me and when I call to have it unblocked they can't find my information so my husband has to call. The first time I tried going into the branch and calling but it's a completely separate company that manages the fraud department and coast hills has no control over what that company decides is "fraudulent". It has gotten shut off for something as simple as me getting a Starbucks in a different county. Not only that, but they just turn off your card- which is absolutely crazy because at every other bank I have been with they pay the charge upfront and then reverse it on their end so you don't get stranded wherever you are. So, because of them not recognizing my password, phone number or social, I now have had my car turned off 3 times in the last two weeks, I can't call to have it corrected because I don't exist, and now my husband card has been turned off and we have to have new cards printed- but they won't mail you one so you have to go in person. It's beyond infuriating. I will be pulling our money out of this bank.

First off, my no-fee free checking account was said to be grandfathered in and, of course, I start getting a monthly charge on the SAME statement that reads NO-FEE FREE checking account. And then... I started having hundreds of dollars vanishing out of my checking account and the manager said (on multiple occasions) that the computer system would not grant him access to see where the money disappeared to with a trace. It happened over 20 times. I should have left long long ago.

I've been helping my Father move away from Lompoc and part of it was removing valuables from a…read moresafety deposit box, requesting two months of bank activity for purchase of a new home, and a wire transfer for money from the sale of the home in Lompoc. At every turn our efforts were thwarted by CHCU. They refused to allow my father to use the restroom while we were emptying the safety deposit box, which was the only time my father made that request in the almost 50 years of banking there. Dad requested two months of account activity that would include his name and account number, but all CHCU would send is a partial list with most of the account number hidden. When my Dad called to request a wire transfer to his new bank in a different state they wanted signed and notarized requests to have the transfer. Then they had to be sent by snail mail and could only be received before 12:30 in the afternoon or be kicked to the next day. The whole process would take a week to two weeks thus negating the purpose of a wire transfer. Dad had to write a check and wait 10 days because that was faster than CHCU wire transfer policy. This is one of the worst banking institutions I've ever dealt with and I'm glad I cancelled my account there decades ago. You should bank almost anywhere else.

It took 4 weeks to get them to finally put everything together and we ended up filing on the very last day. While in their office finalizing the paperwork, their staff was rude, unhelpful and at one point one of them was swearing at someone on the phone. We have just received a notice from the IRS that although all the paperwork was finalized on time, Liberty tax did not submit our taxes on time and we are being charged a penalty of $400 for a late return. I have attempted to contact The owner of this particular office and go to their office at the times when they are supposedly open and have repeatedly found them to be unavailable. The discount's they offer are not worth the stress of not knowing if your taxes have been done correctly or if they are being submitted on time!

Sorry, but a discount of $80 for a first time introductory offer is not enough to bring us back…read morenext year. We'd rather go to Block for our 2015 taxes and pay more! When we first called to set up an appt., Dave told us HE would be there to do our taxes. Instead, another guy was there who seemed to be very inept, disconnected and unsure of what he was doing. We complained about it and Dave and his wife told us, "oh no. he's very experienced!". Every time we'd call, they would put us off saying their computers were down or that they were busy and they'd call us back. Most of the time, they didn't return phone calls. The last straw was when we signed the final return and didn't know the routing # for our bank. They said "sure, no problem. we'll get it for you." Well, it turned out to be the wrong one. (Lesson learned: FIND THE ROUTING # YOURSELF and don't rely on your tax preparer to do it.) When I talked to Dave about it, he blamed ME for EVERYTHING! Maybe I should have been more careful but it was his demeaning attitude that bothered me most. Now our return will be delayed by 5 weeks. Take our advise. Don't try to save money. STAY AWAY FROM LIBERTY TAX and go somewhere else!
