The Dr and Anesthesiologist were great at explaining everything and laying out all options. They were friendly and kind to the doula as well! We gave them a birth plan and they followed it completely. We had another nurse in couplet care named Binika who was outstanding and stayed 30 minutes past her shift due to an emotional situation. She was outstanding as well. Overall, the visiting hours and down time hours were perfect. Gave us time to recover and try to get some rest. Lactation support was amazing. They were very helpful with my wife and she was very appreciative of the staff for assisting her with this. My wife and I are grateful for their services and the safe delivery of our baby. Would definitely recommend Women's and Babies Hospital! The food was okay, but the peanut butter pie was stellar! The day of birth meal for the mom is between crab cakes, steak or lobster. My wife said it was delicious and the best meal she had there! Dad's don't complain about it to your wife, but that couch is rough

I did not need an episiotomy and they kept on trying to get me to do it, the baby was not in distress the shoulders were not stuck and I did not want an episiotomy. They charge you an arm and a leg for bad service. The doctor I had was not able to answer any of my questions. I do not reccommend womens and babies at all. I am going to stick with the womens place for any future births I have.I also wanted to add when they did the induction they inserted the needle so it sits in my arm painfully and because of that I could not sleep when they offered to reinsert it I agreed and the second time was just as painful. They wanted to run expensive tests on me and my child I refused.

As a relatively healthy woman from the baby boomer generation, in 2015, with no genetic history of…read morecancer in my family, I was diagnosed with a rare form of endometrial cancer. After a complete hysterectomy and minimal follow-up treatment (without radiation), I enjoyed three years of clean health. Then in 2018, I started having digestive issues, acid reflux, insomnia, burning sensations in legs, abdomen, back and face. I was probed, scanned, had multiple blood tests and referred to many specialists. My auto-immune thyroid numbers were through the roof, I was told I was under stress and that I should try counseling. I was prescribed medication for the acid reflux, medication for sleep and told that eventually I would need to be on medication for my thyroid as well. I used the acid reflux meds for two years, and tried the sleep meds to no avail. I was a mess, my symptoms were getting worse and were a huge disruption to my life and I refused to accept the fact that taking medications were my only way forward. While reading an article in one of my local magazines about boosting your immunity through natural remedies, I was introduced to Dr. Ashley Russell, who was a contributor to the article. I decided it was time to forge a new path. The discovery that her office was only five minutes from my house was a sign from the universe that I had to go and see her. To keep this story brief but poignant, Dr. Russell ran tests that none of my other doctors even thought of and was able to figure out the root cause of all of my symptoms, which she treated gently, using natural supplements, nutritional guidelines and suggestions for mind/body practices. Slowly but surely, all of my symptoms quieted down (and went away), sleep returned and my thyroid numbers came under control. Dr. Russell treats the whole body, not just the symptoms. She gives you the time to speak, she takes the time to listen and learn about you as a person. She cares about your whole body health and not about selling quick fixes or products in general. Dr. Russell helped me regain my quality of life and since 2021, Dr. Russell continues to be my first choice when it comes to my healthcare.

It has admittedly taken me a long time to write a review for Dr. Russell as I don't even know where…read moreto begin with how much she has helped me in the course of being one of her patients for the last year and a half. From the beginning, Dr. Russell understood my concern and understood why it was important to me to find more natural solutions to address the issue that I came to her with. From the very beginning, Dr. Russell's approach was different and refreshing. At our first meeting we discussed the reason why I initially sought her care, but then discussed where I was at as a person and uncovered that I really had multiple goals that I was wanting to address. She ordered a health panel and carefully walked me through understanding all the numbers---something no doctor had other done before with me. She answered all my questions thoughtfully and provided resources to help me better reach my personal health goals. The other thing that Dr. Russell makes clear from the beginning is that she wants you to be an active participant in your health and she really means it. She doesn't get offended when I ask questions and doesn't think that I am questioning her expertise or professional opinion. She understands how important it is to me to be involved and fully understand different options, and she facilitates this understanding. In short, Dr. Russell is a truly caring health professional that fully supports her patients. She is respectful, non-judgmental, attentive, and smart. To Dr. Russell you are not a number, but actually a person that she truly cares about. She remembers what you talk about from visit to visit and helps you be accountable toward reaching your personal health goals. During COVID, we have been having virtual telehealth visits that have been seamless. I feel very fortunate to be one of her patients and cannot recommend her highly enough.

DO NOT COME HERE! They are very discriminatory and have horrible attitudes. The staff judged me due…read moreto my chronic illness. I have had issues with them multiple times. I will start with the little things and go to the big things. Well, it started with seeing Dr. Mark. He treated like an idiot and was really rude towards me. If he was not going to treat me, he could tell me over the phone instead of wasting my time//money. My mom raved about the place and convinced me to go back, so I went to see. Dr. Piccolo. First off, I know my rights. I know I can deny blood pressure being done and my weight being done. I denied getting my weight done because I got a lecture from Dr. Deb Taylor about my weight and that I should go walk three miles. The fact I TOLD HER BEFOREHAND, I am DISABLED and cannot WALK long distances did not seem to phase her. I just did not have the energy to debate her or anyone else, so I just wanted to not be weighed again. I also denied having my bp taken. It is hard to find my blood pressure and the cuff really hurts my skin due to the Fibromyalgia. And if it cannot be found the first time, they just keep letting the cuff puff back up and I am in severe pain. So, I asked for them not to do it because it hurts and they have a hard time finding it. I got attitude from the medical assistant/nurse and she demanded I had to get it done. "No, you HAVE to get it done." I was so weak from my illness, I did not have the energy to debate her. But I was ticked. Then she gave me a BABY BLANKET to cover up with, instead of a DRAPE when she told me to undress from the waist down. That happened more than once. I was not fond of Dr. Piccolo either. He kind of dismissed me in a way. It came back that it was possibly a dermoid cyst and that NEEDS to be removed no matter what. They kept telling me it never grew, but after the surgery, found out it had grown at least a couple centimeters. I went there because I was having pain in the abdomen and pelvic area especially. I did not know what was causing my pain and I just wanted answers. I found out my gallbladder was causing most of it at another office. But after the gallbladder and cysts were removed, the pain I went in there for got better. So the fact I was treated like garbage just does not sit well with me. But that is not what ticked me off the most. Their staff always has attitudes and acts like they do not want you around. They act like you are wasting their precious time. Also, like I said they discriminated against me twice. Not only do I have Fibromyalgia, but I have an issue going on with my legs, feet, etc... (had feet issues even when I was skinny and 15 years old), and I cannot walk a long distance. After a minute or two, I am in severe pain, hurting, and I have to stop walking. I get nerve pain up my leg to my tailbone and my feet will hurt so bad, that it will cause my back to hurt, and cause my body to lock up if pushed too much. I am fighting for a wheelchair from somewhere else, but I was denied because I am "TOO YOUNG TO BE immbolized". So since I was denied a wheelchair, I cannot walk all the way to the front entrance. I have to use the handicap door. At first, it was not locked and I could just walk right in. Then they locked it after the first couple visits. I tried opening it and it would not open. So I angrily walked to the front entrance and was mad, because this was harming my body. I told them they needed to unlock the handicap door, because people who are in wheelchairs will not be able to get in. I know they saw me there at the back door. One of the people at the front desk said with an attitude, "IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LOCKED! You have to knock and they will let you in!" Not the case. I did the last couple times I was there knock and they let me in, but they would look up and down my legs in judgment. I knew what was coming. I was expecting it. I could tell by the look on their faces. And the anxiety got real bad. But I told myself if they opened their mouth, I would tell them off. Because I am tired of getting crap from doctors, nurses, and ignorant citizens. Last time I went, a lady let me in, but she was staring up and down my legs like, "you do not like sick! HOW DARE YOU!" They were also gossiping about me in the back about the issue. They were talking about confronting me and the medical assistant or nurse named Brittany said, "We will talk about it later." Trying to hush her up. So, after the doctor's visit, I go to leave out the handicap door. They were folding laundry. One "brave" lady pointed the other way and said, "No hun! You have to go that way!" I stood up for myself. I said to her, "No! I am disabled and sick! I am going out this way! Thank you!" Then I walked out of the door. DO NOT COME HERE!
