It turned out that we did the 1 hour massage undraped but since the room was pretty dark it was ok. Maisie is a very skilled and talented therapist and understands the human body quite well. It is located in a great spot in South Austin. The space is simple in a small shopping center, and it was very clean with nice decor and a modern feel with a cute design. This is not a fancy spa vibe, so if that is your cup of tea, go elsewhere. It was easy to find free parking. The massage itself was good. Maisie did a great job on my back and neck, which is where I asked her to focus. I liked how she used her forearms in addition to her hands to help stretch tight areas. The massage felt rushed, however, and she only used 50 of the 60 minute time slot. I checked my phone before I got on the bed, and we wrapped up in under 50 minutes. Booking with Maisie was really easy through texting to find a time that worked for both of our schedules. She sends great reminders and also offers deals on booking future massages and add-ons. I feel like if I went back to Maisie I would want a 90 minute massage for the whole experience, as it felt more rushed than I would like for some areas of my body like my legs. Her non-Groupon pricing was higher than I could afford to rebook, which was a bummer as in the past I have met my regular massage therapists via Groupon and kept booking with them. She does offer some specials though for booking in advance, so be sure to ask about that if you like her style.

They can do every sort of massage I've seen -- gentle, normal, deep tissue, all of it. They have chair massage and table massage. "O'Chi Reflexology" observes social distancing with masks, and takes everybody's temperature before they're allowed inside. For those who don't know -- reflexology is an Asian variety of foot massage working on specific "pressure points" of the feet. It's a gentle and relaxing experience. I prefer the "combo" which is a 20-minute table massage, deep, for my back, coupled with 20-minutes of reflexology for my feet at the same time. I feel so refreshed and energetic afterwards, that I've put "O'Chi Reflexology" on my calendar -- twice monthly. If you're seeking deep tissue massage -- I can vouch for "O'Chi Reflexology".

I wouldn't describe her style as any one label but rather customized to what your body requires. The space is a suite in an office complex along with many other similar service providers. Parking is included within the executive complex. Her suite is on the first floor so keep in mind you have to climb one set of stairs, in case you're coming in for any mobility issues.

I will see how I feel after a day or so. This massage was deep and slow, with pressure, Scott did explain that the type of massage is slow to let your brain stem connect and relax the muscles. Kind of makes sense and as time passed I did feel my muscles starting to relax. Mixed feelings here as I did miss my massaging part. Towards the end of my session Scott did work on my upper shoulders and neck; this was divine and made it all worth while. To address the canine part I did not mind at all, love my furry family friends, however I am surprised that this is not mentioned on appointment or discussed before the massage.
