First, let me apologize for how lengthy this post is going to be. Second, I want to be clear that…read morethese comments are not directed at our local management or fitness instructors. I am confident that if it were left to them, these issues would not have gone on for as long as they have. They are directed towards ownership and upper corporate management. 1. The members at Genesis Liberty have been asking for equipment for years. At least since Covid so we're talking 6+ years. In our fitness room we have a shortage of weights. I know that local management is well aware that people have not been happy. Yes, we've had some weights brought in. Bits and pieces of old equipment very clearly scrounged up from back storage rooms and the leftovers from other locations. If a member hopes to have decent equipment, they better arrive early. As a solution, our gym recently had a "contest" where if enough people attended classes, we could "win" new weights. I find it shameful that paying members would have to "win" in order to be provided enough and decent equipment. The local managers and instructors did their absolute best to try to help us "earn" new equipment. Unfortunately, we fell 141 attendees short so I assume no new equipment for us. Shameful. 2. We have also been asking for a working sound system for many years. Every day, the instructors come in and cross their fingers, hoping that the sound system will work today. Well, today it didn't. Our instructor was forced to conduct our class using only her personal phone. I'm sure you can imagine that it was almost impossible to hear. I know that they have tried new cords but obviously the problem is more involved than that. Instructors have been reduced to bringing in their own personal speakers to avoid having to deal with our current sound system. Shameful. 3. We requested to have floor fans replaced when they broke, but were told that the owners didn't want to provide them so individual members have been kind enough to "donate" fans. Shameful. 4. We've gone as long as 2+ weeks without Kleenexes during cold and flu season because our gyms quota had already been met and they weren't able to order any more until a certain date. God forbid we run out of toilet paper before they're allowed to order more because they've exceeded the quota! Shameful. I will assure the owners and corporate management that I am not the only person that feels this way. It is a daily discussion in our fitness classes. If it weren't for the other members who I've come to love and the great instructors, I would definitely not be attending this gym. If anyone were to ask if I would recommend joining the Genesis Liberty gym my answer would be an emphatic, no!

Do not sign up. They make it a nightmare to cancel and then continue to charge you months after…read moreyou have cancelled. If you try to call to speak to a manager they are never available and won't call you back. Corporate is not much better. The staff at the desk will tell you anything to get you to sign up, but it isn't honest. The hidden yearly fee in June was an added bonus that you have to pay even after your membership was cancelled long before that. $42 and change every month for a 17 year old to use the gym and this nightmare. DO NOT SIGN UP!

Just started but it seems ok. Went in with a mailer & they gave me a tour around the facility…read moreincluding the locker area, weights, group fitness rooms and cardio equipment. This was followed by a short sales pitch. I didn't want to sign up immediately, wanted a chance to try out the facility before committing and the representative seemed fine with that. I got a 3 day pass to come back and make sure it was a good fit, but everything seemed in good condition and rather new since the facility is less than a year old. I did notice that there was only a single disinfectant station for the entire, large cardio area so I can only assume that the equipment doesn't get regularly wiped down. I didn't see any employees doing maintenance nor clean up while I was there, but it was in the middle of the afternoon. Several stall in the restroom were out of TP, which does speak to a lack of attention but I'll be sure to note that on future reviews if it become an issue. Overall, it seems on the up-and-up. $199 enrollment fee waived for a $50 fee (with the mailer I brought in) along with a $50 processing fee (total $100 in fees for new members) then $20 for basic membership or $30 if you want to go to group classes....It did seem like a sale pitch, but hey, that's their job right? They have lots of equipment and it's all function, so that's all I really need in a gym.

I really need to cancel my membership here but it's 2min away from where I live! So I joined Aspen…read more1 year ago, thinking "oh it's a new year, new me" and all that New Years resolution crap. Well no, this gym didn't motivate me to go. If anything it did the opposite and I'll go into detail on that later on in this review. I will admit, I was a victim of their mail flyers. It was such a good deal (at the time), no contract, discounted initiation fee, $19.99/mon with access to any club. Who would want to pass that up? I ended up getting sucked in sadly. I didn't realize it at the time but now that I think about it, the sales associate made me feel guilty for passing up a good deal so I went for it. Don't get me wrong, Aspen is a nice facility with new and state of the art equipment, the locker rooms are clean and private. Everything is just so new! They provide daycare for an extra fee and classes for extra as well. You're probably wondering at this point why is she rating this place a 2 star when she's speaking so highly about it?! Keep reading and you'll see why... Well here's the kicker, I like going into a gym where I'll feel comfortable with my body and leave knowing that I had a great workout. No judge-y eyes, meat head hotties who think they're the shiz, and skinny chicks who think they're all that. Aspen is notorious for that population. It's not a bad thing, it's just not for me. I feel like I'm constantly being judge/stared at while I'm working out and I rather not have that feeling. The employees here does not want anything to do with you, at least every time I'm in they seem to avoid you. Aside from that, the scanner when you walk in is ALWAYS in a different location therefore when I do walk in I'm like a deer in headlights thinking where is the scanner this time?! It makes me feel like I'm such a newbie and I hate that feeling. I dread walking into the gym having fear of what fellow patrons will judge at this time. I shouldn't walk into a gym with that feeling. Also I leave as if I didn't get a decent workout in because I feel too self conscious to use the machines or even lift. The club hours aren't in my interest either. I work nights, therefore I will obviously prefer working out later in the night, I don't have too much of a problem during the week but on the weekends it's difficult to get a workout in when they close at 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Forgot to mention that I got charged $50 over on 1 month, not sure how or why but by the time I noticed it, I didn't care enough anymore to dispute. Maybe I should have? Ehh. Therefore Aspen is a nice facility with state of the art equipment but it's too generic of a gym for my taste. I continue to go for the sake of closeness. I do have a membership elsewhere that is 24/7 and consider that one as my go to gym since it's near where I work and use Aspen as my backup.

What can I say? Abbi Miller is my hero. She has a gift for healing, helping, educating, sharing,…read moreand ultimately inspiring every other human she comes into contact with. Am I overly excited about working with Abbi Miller? YES. Do I recommend that others do the same - EMPHATIC YES again. I have had the pleasure of working with Abbi Miller in the capacity of a yoga student, as well as when I was seeking nutritional advice. I stumbled upon Abbi in the early years of my own yoga journey, and am grateful for this because due to her very passionate, patient, and unique style of instruction, I stuck with it. And I learned SO much from her as a beginning student, that I still carry with me today as someone who practices daily. She has her own style, which, in my opinion puts folks at ease. This style helps students/clients absorb and process information, as well as concepts. And in the case of yoga postures - those come naturally, too (NOTE: laughter and smiles seem to always be involved with all things Abbi). It is difficult to capture a description of what Abbi Miller has to offer in a review. You just need to MEET her. If you want to take up yoga as a newbie - contact Abbi, and check out her calendar. Private instruction is something I personally did after initially taking group classes with her, and I highly suggest it for others. If you are wanting a fresh look at your diet and health, or just some support, she is also a great resource for that as well. I feel that anyone who is seeking any type of positive change in their lives will benefit from using her services. She has the type of empathetic, understanding, and determined mindset, that will carry over into whatever your session might entail (be it yoga or nutritional guidance). I can't say enough good things about Abbi. She made an imprint on me personally, which I can gladly say has helped me with my own health challenges. I am very thankful for her dedication to sharing a love and knowledge of yoga and wellness to the masses.

I'm lucky to be able to work with Abbi, and it's truly one of the best experiences I've had with a coach in my life. She's warm, open, supportive and so smart. She makes nutrition interesting and makes me want to treat myself more kindly. It's not only about food and calories, it's about a lifestyle and how we can together make it work to that lifestyle. It's about baby steps and not the quick fixes. She wants to you to live your life effortlessly and not be concerned about fad diets. She pushes the importance of nutrition and how to fuel your body the way it needs to be fueled. I've also had the pleasure of doing private yoga lessons with Abbi. They were the highlight of my day when I had an appointment with her. She makes it fun and not serious. I always left feeling so inspired by her when we would practice together. She teaches all over the city, so try and find a class she teaches, you won't be sorry! Abbi Miller is one of a kind and I totally recommend working with her if you are able to. Take her up on her promos and follow her on all her social accounts, she spreads so much great information that just gets you thinking.
