Artist Director Michael Kelligan formed The Welsh Fargo Stage Company in 1998 as a way of re-establishing his theatrical career after long illness involving heart surgery, poor dab. The company went on to put on One Man Plays performed by Kelligan and small scale touring of new and extant drama.
The first production was 'The Sprit of Enniskillen' a One Man play performed and adapted by Michael Kelligan from the book 'Marie', a story from Enniskillen' in which Gordon Wilson recalls the cruel events on Remembrance Day in Enniskillen in 1987 and tells of the life of his daughter who along with ten others was killed in the bombing. The play was performed at The Chapter Art Centre, Cardiff and at the St Donats Arts Centre in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Since September 2004 Welsh Fargo has been presenting On The Edge, a series on rehearsed readings and Script-held performances of new work and revivals of work by Welsh writers and writers based in Wales. read more
