It was a nightmare at first and I was definitely not feeling great about the home buying process. However; Rick completely changed my view on things. He's patient and very kind. We were first-time home buyers so we were always asking an endless list of questions. He always explained them to where we completely understood. First, he actually asked what we liked and didn't like and asked what our price range was. That was a very BIG first step considering the other realtors we went to. They simply looked at the amount we were approved for and ran with it even though we had no intention of actually spending that much. He was honest about each house and went through it to point out all the issues that would, and could in the future, cost us more to fix/mend. I'm an avid note taker so it was great to have him list the pros/cons out while we walked through the houses so I could write down everything. My husband is in the military so we were using a VA loan which can take more time and paperwork than most. Rick was always willing to meet up and walk us through everything we signed to make sure it was in our best interest. He also explained EVERYTHING - that just really meant a lot as I wasn't to make sure we weren't getting screwed somewhere down the line. We did sign one document without consulting him first which hosed us a bit but that is a completely different story that I won't get it into here. And luckily, we learned our lesson after that one and we had Rick review everything from that point on.
