Thank God for Wendy!!!! So I was so crazed on this trip to Kauai that I had absolutely no time to get a gel mani/pedi before I left! I knew I had to hit up Yelp to find the best spot...and when I read reviews for Wendy I was like 'Oh Hells Yes! So not to drag this review out...let me get right to the point...first off the massage chair is on point!!! Having traveled from NYC the night before...it was perfect! Secondly Wendy is sweetheart..I was lapsing in and out of Chillax mode and when I would start yapping away the two of us would be laughing like high school besties! Lastly and most importantly her skills are legit!!!! She gave me the most beautiful gel mani/pedi, a gorgeous turquoise blue with sparkles which is my signature look, blue is my favorite color and I always love a sparkle top coat so a perpetual party is taking place on my nails! :). The best part is that I had shared with Wendy my hopes that I was going to be on the receiving end of a proposal by my BF of 4 years...AND....he asked me to marry him halfway through our trip!!! I was ready, my nails were on fleek and all the ring pics I sent to everyone I was complimented not only on my fabulous rock but my mani too!!! i've had monthly pedicures for over 15 years across major cities in America, including NYC, Denver and SFand consider myself a pedicure connoisseur (aka snob). when i moved home to Kauai a few years back, my monthly pedicure decreased because the quality of pedicures i was getting sucked. while some like their nail appointments to be quick and cheap, i prefer to be indulged and pampered while getting my toes cleaned and polished. then came wendy. on my first appointment, she took the time to check that every nail had been trimmed, buffed and painted correctly, without smudges. she massaged my legs AND my feet (still cant figure out why a lot of techs massage your shins?...) and even told me to put down my cell phone and relax during my massage. wendy is personable, funny and amazing at what she does. if you want to chat, she's a great conversationalist. if you want complete silence to decompress, she'll make you as comfy as possible. her experience in big city salons has provided her with a level of service that's tough to find at other nail salons on the island. i recommend her to anyone and everyone who will listen. try her our, you won't be disappointed! read more

Wendy has been doing my lash extensions since November and every time I go in they get better. I go in once a week to get them filled as recommended. Wendy is constantly learning new techniques and better habits to improve your lashes. They continue to look better. Wendy also always is making sure every tool and tape that touches you is clean and sterilized. I love how comfortable Wendy makes you feel and how clean she keeps her items. I had a fantastic experience with Wendy today! Walked in without an appointment and was kind of surprised to be welcomed in with a great big smile and stellar service from the start...all thanks to Wendy. She did a beautiful job with my polish change and was so much fun to chat with while she worked away on my nails. Most of the time after a manicure, I leave thinking: "eh, I could've done a better job myself..." Not the case today! I recently had the pleasure of getting my eyelash extensions done by Wendy! She was super gentle and made me feel relaxed the whole time I was on her table! My eyelashes were amazing and looked natural but with a lot of sass and WAY more volume! I have blonde eyelashes and getting these eyelashes saved me SO SO SO much time in the morning and made me feel so much more put together even when I didn't wear makeup! Wendy gave my mother, June, the best pedicure she has ever had in her 90 years of life! She was so caring and treated her like a best friend who came to visit. I went to Wendy for the first time and I ABSOLUTELY love my nails. She take pride in what she does and makes sure you are COMPLETELY satisfied with the way your nails look before you leave the salon. I appreciated how clean and hygienic her salon/tools were. She uses brand new, out of the package nail filer/buffer for each client. Wendy does a beautiful job. She worked both my mom and I in for same day appointments and gave us gorgeous gel manicures. She's good at small talk but okay with silence as well. The best part was that she constantly asked for feedback to make sure that I was happy with every aspect of my mani, from the shape of my nail to the richness of the color. I took a friend to The Beauty Shop today so we could get pedicures. Wendy was great! She took her time with each of us and did a really nice job.
