My son and I wanted the Krabby Patty combos. Saw an ad featuring the location on mid rivers. I roll into the Drive-thru, noticing there is zero SpongeBob worthy signage. I ask if they have it? No, they do not. The jungermann location isn't too far out of the way so I head there. it's around 2pm, between lunch and dinner rushes and I'm on a mission for a pineapple under the sea Frosty! As I pull into Jungermann, i notice SpongeBob signage in the windows. Cool. At the speaker, i request a Krabby Patty combo, no bun. And request another combo with a bun. I head for the window. I have no idea what it cost/ glare on the ordering window so i just pay. I am handed 1 frosty and a bag with 1 fry and 2 burgers. I say i ordered 2 combos. Guy says i only ordered a 2nd burger. Ok, no biggie, can i just buy another combo? NOT AT THE WINDOW. You mean i have to go back through the drive thru? Yes... There are no cars behind me. I'm sure I look annoyed af, but I say ok, probably with a big sigh. i drive around the building, order what i need and I'm on my way. The Krabby Patty is ok, the frosty is pretty good. No special packaging so if you aren't parked by the SpongeBob ad on the window, it's just another burger meal. Arrived and the doors were locked but no sign. I came through the drive thru and no response, so naturally pulled to the window. The female dirty blonde hair pulled back in a pony tail, black glasses refused to waist me staring nothing went off on her headset. She advised me that I needed to go back through the drive thru. The female was raising her voice when I simply asked her name stating it was not needed. I went back through the drive thru only to be the third car and had to wait over twenty minutes for my order. Our family eats at this Wendy's store at least twice a week. We placed a mobile order as we often do on our way home from church. When we got home, my wife was eating her cheese potato, and she noticed an odd odor. Three out of the four people in the room smelled her potato and it made them gag. We had to open the doors and a few windows to air out the room. I immediately took the receipt and the potato back to the store. Smelling the potato in the car made me nauseous. When I arrived at the store, I asked for the manager. The manager came up to the front counter. I asked her to smell the potato and cheese and she said it smelled just fine. I couldn't believe my ears. I asked her to have another employee smell it. She walked back into the kitchen and When she came back, she said the potato smells just like all their potatoes. If all their potatoes smell like the one we were served, that store would never sell another potato. The managers attitude was "I couldn't care less what this customer thinks". I was shocked. Clearly, she had no concern or interest in customer service. No apology, no offer to give us another potato or give us our money back or give us a coupon for a future visit. A big fat nothing! I intend to find the owner of this store and share this story with them. Rest assured, we will find another Wendy's location to do business and hopefully under different ownership. I had a Doordash delivery where someone at Wendy's neglected to put the Cinnabon order into our bag. When I called to inquire about the missing item, an associate or manager met me with a rude, matter-of-fact attitude. "Yea,, we forgot.".. This demeanor is unacceptable to a customer who has paid for an item through a delivery service in which the pricing is elevated and expects to receive it. I have a bad history with this particular location getting my order wrong, but recently I've been going back, against my better judgment. Turns out, I should have listened. I ordered a lemonade with my food today and noticed that it tasted like fermented sugar... When we called to inform them, we were told, "I drink it all the time, that's how it's supposed to taste." Well, I drink it a lot too, and I can assure you, it is NOT supposed to taste like that. It doesn't help that the fries tastes old, too. You put the final nail in your own coffin, Jungermann Wendy's. I realize I complain a lot, but when your product has gone off and you have a history of giving me the completely wrong order, I feel as though my complaints are more than justified. What can I say? I've been a fan of this place since watching my first episode of Epic Meal Time, the TurBacon Epic episode. (Its a bird, in a bird, in a bird, in a bird, in a pig!) They top off this bacon covered meat gem with Wendy's Baconators, and thus was born my curiosity. Since that day, I've ingested a hefty number of these fantastic sammiches, and I must say that it is a rare occasion that this burger doesn't hit the spot. (and as I type, a competitor burger joint's commercial is playing featuring the Epic Meal Time crew--Epic Coincidence!) Let's break this down into reality, I'm rating this place as a fast food chain. If you are looking for a fast food burger, this is your 5 star choice. The Baconator is the best, but the Son of Baconator will soothe the appetites of anyone with a less than Epic appetite. The fries are also pretty decent, not the best, but pretty damned good. They also have a great selection of chicken sandwiches and smaller burgers, a great dollar menu as well. One thing that sets this place apart from the rest of the drive and eat joints is that when in season, the fish sammich is real Cod, which makes it the best fish sammich available at a drive thru.
