My husband and I came for a candlelight concert. I recommended if you come for a show without assigned seats to get there 15 min before doors open for prime seating. If you are not particular about where you sit, then 15 min before show starts is plenty of time. They offer concessions that you are able to bring into the theater. I did find it odd that a full size bottle of wine was an option, but I guess if you arrive early enough to split with your group. They also have sodas, beer, candy, and chips. Plenty of bathrooms available. I found the seats to be roomy and comfy. However, the tall gentleman next to me during the show kept moving around. Some street parking, or the free deck is only a block away. read more

Went there to see a Fever Candlelight string quartet doing songs from Coldplay. Great experience overall. The quartet was outstanding. I know Coldplay songs pretty well, and nobody in the quartet missed a single note all night. The concert is only a bit over an hour, but it's really good. Very nice setting. The hall is gorgeous and the sound was fantastic. I did not have a drink or something to eat, but a cup of wine was $10, just saying. They scan your tickets pretty quickly once the doors open, and the workers are pretty helpful. Easy to get to, plenty of parking nearby. We found street parking less than one block away from the entrance. The string quartet is highly talented, and also gives a little insight on some of the songs. I really enjoyed that part. I think it was reasonable priced, and a great venue to boot. read more

We saw the 90s unplugged with the quartet performing (2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello). The candlelight were a great effect. The performance lasted a little over an hour. We liked Zombie and Enter Sandman the best. read more

This venue is amazing. We took my 95 yr old mom and my disabled sister to see the Glen Miller orchestra. The whole night was wonderful from hubby being able to pull up to drop off, then ease of finding our seats with plenty of leg room and comfortable seating. Wonderful location in the heart of downtown Naperville right next to the free parking facility and close to so many restaurants and Barnes& Noble bookstore. The concert hall itself is beautifully designed making me want to dress up to match the simple (not flashy) atmosphere of elegance. Acoustics in the auditorium are almost perfect. Such a venue to be proud of to showcase local talent as well as special guest stars! I attend just about every DuPage Symphony Orchestra's (DSO) excellent concerts. A smaller, but nice and intimate concert hall for watching a performance. No matter where you sit on the main floor, you aren't too far away from the performers (at least compared to city venues) and there is a balcony seating section if you'd like to watch the show from above. Seating is comfortable and there's a reasonable amount of leg room between rows. The tall ceilings and placement of the speakers do create an unusual mix at times (especially if it's mixed in with a live orchestra and you are in the front rows). Parking can be difficult at times since this is in downtown Naperville. Overall, a nice venue for Naperville to watch a concert or musical. read more

This venue, on the campus of North Central College, is a nice place to have in downtown Naperville for performances. I recently saw the student concert and was impressed by the space and acoustics. I don't know how the ushering is done, but on the day of the student show a bunch of the performers came up and sat IN the aisles, blocking the walkway, after their pieces were done, despite there being an entire empty balcony above the stage (I suppose that is less desirable because you are behind the performers, but sitting in the aisle is a safety hazard. And I don't mean one or two people doing this, we're talking a dozen or more kids hunched up on the stairs where we were trying to get out). Hopefully this is atypical, but really, this was bad; hopefully ushers will be more aware of this sort of thing for future performances. read more

As a music lover, I've been to a fair number of venues in the Chicagoland area. Recently I saw Amy Grant at the Wentz Concert Hall (after seeing her a year ago at the Raue Center in Crystal Lake). All in all it was a good experience....the venue is rather intimate (650 seats) but its almost (not quite) like a theater in the round....seats on both sides of the stage (although the seats in back of the stage were balcony level only) and the acoustics were great. Added bonus was the fact that parking was free (next door theres a parking garage) and downtown Naperville with the wide range of restaurants is a short walk away. Nice way to spend an evening and if an artist that I enjoy is there, you can bet I'll be back.... read more

I had the pleasure of visiting the Wentz concert hall for the first time when Black Violin had a show there. It's a beautiful venue. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The seats are larger (wider) than most theaters which is nice. However the space between the rows are incredibly tight. Most people have no choice but to stand in order to let someone pass by. (Unless you're petite) The sound also isn't the best. We heard the music just fine but when the performers talked to the crowd it was hard to make out what they were saying. I sat in the balcony though so I'm not sure if it's the same on the main floor. The venue is a good size though. Entering and exiting was a breeze. We didn't get caught in the lobby with hordes of people after the show which was nice. There's a parking garage adjacent to the venue with ample availability. We exited the garage just as easily and made our way to the tollway with minimal traffic. The staff were all friendly and professional. They offer beverages at a nominal cost. The venue itself is modern and well kept. I'd absolutely attend future events there for sure. read more

Good concert hall, but an administrative failure with performing ensembles. If you want to rent the hall for a concert, they won't even put the event on the website. Not only is this really shady because they're still making a decent sum from the rent the ensembles have to shell out for the venue, but it causes confusion for concert-goers looking for the concert at the venue. Audience members won't see the concert listed on the hall website, and then because it's not listed, they'll assume there's a mistake and not attend the concert, making it even harder for ensembles to make the concert possible. They also won't let the performers use the equipment. If you're thinking of having a performance here, ye be warned. Find another place. read more

This is one of the best venues I have been to for a concert. The acoustics are fantastic and there is not a bad seat in the house. We were in the next to last row and had great sight lines. Tip: Arrive early in case parking garage is full. There is ample street parking but you might have to walk a couple of short blocks. read more

Only the best in Naperville! Wentz Concert Hall is a beautiful venue with wonderful acoustics in a small and intimate theater. Even the lobby is warm and sunny with full windows spanning the entire front of the building. There is not a bad seat in the house. This venue is able to attract some top talent to perform here, and so the level of performances is the same as one would see in a large metropolitan area, but just less expensive for the tickets with closer seats, a win-win situation all around. The building is also home to a small art gallery that appears to be free and open to the public. I asked the employee sitting at the small desk about the exhibits and she told me that it rotates every 3 months. Parking is free throughout the downtown area with street parking and plenty of room in the parking structures. Many top restaurants are also located within blocks. For those who resist the long travel time & fight through traffic to downtown Chicago, Wentz Concert Hall is a great low-stress alternative! read more

Wentz Concert Hall has some top notch entertainment for the suburbs. A number of their concerts are also available in the city but are more expensive. I've been fortunate enough to see the Chicago Symphony and the Chicago Sinfonietta here. The space is a lot more intimate than Symphony Center downtown. Free parking is also available nearby. I highly recommend checking out their lineup as they do have some quality acts. read more

On April 29, we took our Grandchildren to watch the play "The Monster Ate my Peas"at Wentz Hall Normally, when we go to these 1 hour plays, they are good but the Talent today was the best we've seen in years. It was presented by The Artspower National Touring Theatre company.
