Checked out this bar in Oswego that has become one of the town's few hangouts. It is known for live music. Nash Vegas Saloon has a country theme going on. Annoying at times but not all bad. The drinks are better than the eating which is limited. Big place with lots of room inside. It's got a bar close to the front which has plenty of seating. There's also quite a few tables. Basic choices. Menu has about what to expect for a place like this. It's $4 for wells at happy hour. That's hard to beat it seems. It's about $7 for appetizers. Several to choose from including onion rings. Meaty choices among the entrees. There's burgers loaded with things like bacon, and macaroni and cheese with or without brisket toppings. Went to the location at 3:30pm on a Friday just for a quick drink and share an appetizer with a friend. They do have a parking lot, but it is pretty small. You can easily find street parking behind, on the side, or in front of the location. We were informed we can sit wherever we would like. It was not extremely busy, so be picked a Hightower behind the bar. They did have a sign near the bar for different specials for each day of the week. We were greeted by our server who brought over waters and asked what we would like to drink. We ended up getting chicken nachos. They were good amd came to the table in a good time frame. Definitely big enough for two people. There was light music playing, so easy to hold conversations, tvs going and everyone seemed friendly that we came into contact with. read more

We popped in for the bingo series (because who doesn't love a little friendly competition and daubing action?). We didn't go full dinner mode--just drinks and nachos. The nachos were solid! I'd say go wild and ask for extra cheese because life's too short for dry chips. Drinks? Meh. They did their job but didn't exactly make me want to write home about them. Ambiance-wise, it's giving strong county bar energy--think boots, beer, and a playlist that had us singing along like we knew the words (we didn't, but that didn't stop us). Bonus: there are slot machines if you're feeling lucky or just want to dramatically lose $5 for the thrill. Would return for the music and bingo vibes, but next time I'm bringing my own glitter dauber. read more

I can't believe it has taken me so long to write this. I attended the soft opening at the beginning of August. They serve food but they did not have the kitchen open during the soft opening. I was impressed with everything Nash Vegas offered on day 1! The decor, the bar top notch. Service was amazing. All of the bar tenders were extremely attentive. Even though it was very busy they kept my drinks coming. I tried a couple of drink and they were all phenomenal and the prices were reasonable. My favorite drink was the Luke, tequila, triple sec, agave and lime. Omg it was delicious. I tried a shot called Ride It and was just as good. They had a band at the opening and they were really good. Overall this is a great place to come for drinks, listen to some live music and line dance. I am going back this weekend and I can't wait. Food was fine. Chicken tenders were from some pterodactyl somewhere. They were gigantic. They weren't really tenders. They were cut up chicken breasts. Anyway, the night we were there bartenders had blah personalities. There were four of them. Only one was actually working. The rest were catching up on with each other. I'm sure they were talking news and weather. I can tell you the weather where we were sitting was dry and arid because we had no new drinks until we called them. It wasn't really busy yet, and that is usually when you forget about people sitting at the bar. I know. It's a fun time with the live band on Saturdays. Honestly, anywhere can be a good time if you are with fun, lively characters. So, hit this place up with some good timers and you will be fine. Is it Nashville? No. Is it Vegas? No. It's Oswego, so it gets a 4-star. read more

This is the poor man's version of Mike and Denise + the Vault all wrapped up in one. Seems like the owner was not very creative and modeled the place after those...and swung and missed. Food is below average, ambiance is meh and service is hit or miss. Recommend skipping this one and heading to Yorkville for the real deal. read more

Went Monday for open mic. Music was great, food was great and service was great. Only complaint is wine served in plastic cups. No glasses.

Very bad experience. Was out with a friend of mine. they took my card to hold for a tab. had a $110 bill and left $150 cash to pay the bill and tip. I got home and got a notification they not only took the cash but charged my card. I NEVER signed the bill authorizing the charge. this "waitress" pocketed my money and then charged. I went back and they took it off my card. she said she thought my cash was the tip. REALLY??? I like the establishment, music and food but I don't like being stolen from. $150 tip on $110 tab??? Went there for bingo and you could tell they weren't ready for it. Sat for almost an hour with no service, not even able to put in a drink order. I had to go and find a server and ask what the deal was and she gave me some excuse about new people being trained. Well looking around it wasn't them being trained it was them talking and screwing around. Maybe they should do their jobs. When we finally got our food the Nashville chicken sandwich that I was told was "the best", was a very mediocre BBQ sauce sandwich. They need to fix their service and rethink their menu. read more

Our first time here! Very small place with a few tables but a large attractive under lit square bar. We sat at a table by the front door and quickly learned in winter months not to sit there as the large garage door right next to it opens to let band equipment in ... became quite chilly and uncomfortable for a period of time. But that didn't spoil the night or our fun. Our server was engaging, very knowledgeable and full of energy - she helped to make the night a lot of silly fun for us.. Each of the 4 of us had one of their specialty drinks and weren't disappointed. Lucky Bastard, Broadway Girl and Johnny Cash Old Fashion were very good. The Lucky Bastard reminded me of a Mai Tai and it was really good. We ordered 3 apps to share - Nachos, Chicken Wings, and Philly Philly Quesadillaz. I loved that the Nachos had a white cheese sauce and it was just enough so the chips didn't turn soggy... pulled pork or brisket only enhanced them. Buffalo Chicken wings, while not a lot of them, had quite a bit of meat. My favorite app was the Philly Quesadilla - very tender, full of meat and cheese - highly recommend. For dinner - we ordered a very large burger and the Philly Philly Wrap (as I said, I really liked the quesadilla- so went back for more). A few beers later and the band began. We loved the location we picked because we could enjoy the band and still talk. Would definitely go back. read more
