From my experience with Mr. Ball, I now understand why attorneys are respectfully called "mouthpieces" and I understood what it means to have "representation" I discovered Mr. Ball in Oct 15, 2019 when I learned that my next-door neighbor had filed a complaint against me. When I called, I heard a professional lady answering my call at the Wes Ball Law Firm - she asked me my problem - she let me tell her in my own way and she listened and asked me to hold because Mr. Ball was on another call ...just talking to her I already knew this was a quality law firm ...then I spoke with Mr. Ball - who didn't listen as much - instead he asked me pointed questions to understand my situation - and he talked - he explained my options and what I could expect from the process I selected my preference(s) based on the options he explained - he forecasted the entire cost that I was likely to incur and told me what the payment options are ... once that was decided - he told me what he would be doing on my case in those first few days based on my preferences and he told me what I would need to do. With Mr. Ball, he's not just reliable - I felt he was in this with me - he got it- from my perspective - which made it easy for me to do whatever he told me to do...and sometimes that required having to think differently - which I did - because I knew that his perspective was much more informed than my own. My case was resolved on Aug 2, 2021. From the day Mr. Ball agreed to take my case to the day it was resolved...I have yet to say one word to anyone in these proceeding ... It was not like TV where the attorney/actor tells a person not to talk - because Mr. Ball never said that. The reality was ...Mr. Ball was everywhere I was to be. In the court system, he truly was "me" throughout this ordeal. In addition to mouthpiece and representation, Mr. Ball was my shield. This entire process was foreign to me and I did not want to have to understand all of it just to get through it. Mr. Ball was the expert - so I could stay focused on my life, my work and upkeep of my home and not give any thought to a next-door neighbor who wants me incarcerated!! During those 2 years, I had multiple reasons to call Mr. Ball's office... Just like that very first call on Oct 15, 2019, I always spoke with the knowledgeable ladies in the office (I won't refer to her / them by name or job title) - I will just add that I never had to call twice for the same issue. They all work in unison with Mr. Ball and each other ...even during the initial adjustment to COVID - as businesses were reorganizing - Mr. Ball's firm never missed a beat - they were there for their clients. ...one phone call was all I ever needed to make about anything. (sidebar) In addition to the law firm being world class...on that 1st day (Oct. 15, 2021) I shared the trauma I had experienced when calling bail agencies and asked Mr. Ball for guidance...It was wonderful to talk to a bail bondsman who spoke to me and my situation - he simply told me what he was going to do and what I needed to do ... A BAIL BOND AGENCY THAT OFFERED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - that's what I got - Thanks to Mr. Ball! My case was dismissed on August 2, 2021 and it's pretty obvious that I cannot say enough about how Mr. Ball managed my case. ...when the outcome was unknown and uncertain - the one thing I knew for sure during the whole 2 years - I was Blessed and privileged to have found the Wes Ball Law Firm. It's been a few years since retaining Mr. Ball. The first time he took care of me was as appointed counsel in 1989. I was 31 days in to 3 10 yr deferred adjudicated probations. It really hit the fan when I caught 4 brand new felony 3's. Long story short... I was 19 yrs old and terrified I was going to prison forever. Well, the talented negotiator that he is managed to plea me out for 7 5's. He really felt he could fight the whole thing off. I had to beg him for the deal. At the time, 28 days somehow equalled a year in lock up time for parole eligibility. So, I signed my deal on Feb 12 of '90. I was charged with a felony offense of injury to a child. I was completely innocent. I have never been in trouble with the law in my life. On a recommendation, I hired Mr. Ball to represent me. He was able to determine that the police failed to interview 2 eyewitnesses. The police did a horrific job on the investigation taking the word of my exwife. Mr. Ball secured statements from the 2 witnesses after interviewing them. Mr. Ball made a presentation to the Grand Jury. The Grand Jury decided to reject the charges and issued a No Bill. Wes Ball was the public defender appointed to represent my son's probation revokation. Not only did he get the prosecutor to offer the minimum required sentence but he SPENT THE NEXT HOUR AND A HALF just making sure my son was given credit for time he spent in a court ordered rehab resulting in "time served." Very disappointed with this atty & WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND, charged $400 to my dying daddy which wasn't necessary & could have been told over the phone only 2 months left were on his fine and wouldn't have needed his service!!!! I am MAD!!! read more
