Despite reaching out over a dozen times for clarification, I received vague, shifting explanations--and no one ever took clear ownership of the issue. Even more frustrating: the agency principal, Kevin Godfrey, never once contacted me directly throughout this process. If you're someone who values a relationship with your agent or expects them to be engaged when problems arise, you should look elsewhere. Every interaction was handled by office staff, even escalation requests directed to Kevin were essentially ignored. I spent over a month asking for an explanation about the pricing differences, the only detailed answer I ever received came in a letter from Kevin--but it wasn't sent to me. It was written in response to my formal complaint to the state Department of Insurance. I was told the agency would assist in canceling my prior coverage to ensure a smooth transition--but that follow-through never happened. In fact, the only reason I avoided a coverage lapse was because my previous insurance agent, noticing my payment was overdue, proactively reached out to check on me. That's what a professional relationship looks like. It made the lack of engagement from this Allstate agency even more disappointing--especially since the agent I was now relying on never once contacted me directly throughout the entire process. I've since moved to a different Allstate agent and am actively shopping for other providers. This process raised serious concerns about follow-through, pricing integrity, and responsiveness. We had a very similar experience with this agency just like the other reviewer. We bought an auto…read moreand homeowners policy based on what was quoted from a few email and phone conversations. Then, just 2 months later we get charged an additional $1,700 for the homeowners policy due which we were never contacted about by the agency. Talk about "shady" business practices. We're expecting to receive a partial refund of the additional charge, but that still leaves us paying more than what we originally were quoted. Not thrilled to say the least. Buyer beware!
