This was my first time hiking in the Finger Lakes region and I can't wait to explore the other trails in the area. At the start of the trail, there's a guide map. There are three trails to choose from with varying difficulty levels. The trails are well marked and the trees give plenty of shade for most of it. It wasn't overly crowded which I loved. We crossed paths with about two other groups during the entire time. The trail took us about an hour and a half to complete. Make sure you have adequate footwear because it gets pretty muddy around the streams that you'll have to cross. We ran into sever caterpillars and frogs all over and tried to be mindful of them. We were even able to see some tadpoles in the pond. Apparently there is other wildlife in the area, including black bears but we didn't see any thankfully. You should definitely check this place out if you're into hiking. You won't be disappointed. read more
