The family-run business also has an apothecary and herbal salves and some soaps and other products like honey and jelly which according to the nice daughter tending the store her mother makes everything by hand. Additionally, all throughout the golf course are the many different plants used to make all the products in the shop. They are also edible. The golf course has a lot to be desired; is kind of run down and had better days. But, everyone plays the same course and it's easy enough to get through the 18 holes. My kid and I got a unimpressive 59 and my wife had a 60. We all got a hole-in-one on at least one hole, though! The facility also has a large 30+ chicken and duck coop which you can feed, and a couple of very friendly dogs. Golf was only $15 for the three of us! The honey and jam I purchased were also reasonably priced along with the rest of the shop. The daughter running the shop is off to college this fall, so best of luck to her. Lots of the beach is somewhat rocky so bring water shoes. The good part is that this place isn't overrun by tourists... It's fairly calm and doesn't have a ton of stores or attractions....

The park guides are very helpful. We went straight to Mt Battie Rd for a beautiful scenic view of Camden Harbor. Penobscot Bay and Megunticook Lake. The views are out of the world! We spent 2 days going in and out of the park to see daytime versus sunset across the bay. We actually had a small picnic while visiting. This was a very calm relaxing experience. I highly recommend especially if you like wandering and hiking in parks. There is two sides to park, so dont forget to drive across the street.

The kids spend time by themselves, my husband and I have time alone and together, and we have time with the kids to enjoy each other as a family. The camp is large enough for the kids to exercise their independence --heading to the barn for activities or kayaking in the cove by themselves without me worrying about them. When we go, I don't cook, clean or plan anything - which as a busy mom, is the best kind of vacation. The camp is rustic and simple but very clean with beautifully manicured grounds - a space just perfect for appreciating nature. The food is delicious (I probably gained 5 lbs last week) and easily catered to special diets. I enjoyed a nice mix of structured activities (fishing, sailing, art, archery, land sports, barn dance, bingo, etc) and down time (time at the lake or for a nature walk or just to relax around the fire). I also appreciated the sense of community that camp strives to create each week among the family members. At about 10-12 families per week, it is just the right size. Can't recommend this special place highly enough and I can't wait to go back.

The staff is knowledgeable, caring, accommodating and creates a wonderful family environment. A great place to disconnect from daily routines and reconnect with each other. It is a great place.
