This was only because you can not fail a child in art. Lol. I was excited about the paint party with the Loaded Canvas because it was at my friend's house and... we were drawing wine. When I arrived, this mobile business transformed her space wonderfully. Our canvas, easel, paint palettes, brushes, etc. were nicely arranged. We were given aprons and ready to start our masterpiece. Natasha Fray, the owner and artist was effortless in navigating between various levels of skill. Her introduction and directions throughout the experience were clear. I felt at ease because when people had "oops" moments, she never panicked with us. As a matter of fact, she really didn't see mistakes because its art. She had a way of listening to the buy-in of the painter to help the painting reflect their vision. She could fix anything. I loved and stuck with the colors of our painting. However there were others who desired to use colors that matched their home decor. Natasha helped them mix the right colors to get the background they wanted. I was very pleased with my painting. It was Natasha who made it an experience. I highly recommend selecting the Loaded Canvas as your paint party host. *Side Note: This is a black owned business.

Thank you for your response. However, I need to clarify several inaccuracies…read more The scheduled arrival time was 1:30 PM so the bus could warm up and the girls could enter at 2:00 PM. When I had not heard from you, I called at 1:46 PM to confirm we were still set for 2:00 PM. At that time, you informed me you were running late and would send your ETA. I did not receive proactive communication prior to that call. You later stated you were only 20 minutes late. That is not accurate. You were pulling into the parking lot approximately 20 minutes after the party was scheduled to begin, and after parking adjustments and setup time, the girls did not enter the bus until 3:00 PM. The original plan was for arrival at 1:30 PM for setup and a 2:00 PM start time. That timeline reflects a full hour delay in service start time. I have the call logs documenting our communication. Regarding the package, we did edit and finalize the package details through email, including an itemized list. That is exactly why Logan's grandmother and I repeatedly asked for the finalized itemized list prior to the party so there would be no confusion. Even after our phone conversation yesterday, I again requested a breakdown of what was included to justify the $1,000 total. I am still waiting to receive that documentation. To clarify another point, I never agreed to any "extra gift" from the case. The additional items were offered directly to the girls after they became upset, with the statement that you would "make it up to them." That was not a negotiated or agreed-upon substitution. You also mentioned the bus broke down, and at another time referenced coming from a previous party. The explanations have been inconsistent, which adds to the frustration. When discussing pricing, you asked what my budget was. I shared a number, but I also clearly stated I was willing to pay full price for exactly what I wanted. You offered a $195 discount. Naturally, I accepted. However, had I known the services would not match what was agreed upon, I would not have moved forward at all. At this point, this is no longer about emotion,it is about documentation and accountability. I keep detailed records, and I encourage any parent booking to do the same. If further clarification is needed, I am more than willing to provide it.

I want to share my honest experience in hopes that other parents are fully aware when booking,…read moreespecially because a lot of parents have been asking about my daughter's spa bus party. First, I want to say the idea itself is really cute. The bus was cute, and if properly organized, it could truly be a successful and memorable experience for little girls to celebrate their special day. The reason I am writing this review is not to steer parents away, because again, the concept is amazing. However, my experience was not what I expected, especially after paying $1,000 for my baby's party and before you ask no, no money was returned. Policy is money is never refunded for any reason, and I was also told it's not her fault it was raining and that her bus broke down. The spa bus arrived one hour late, and during that time I had to keep 8 little girls inside a hotel lobby while it was cold and raining outside. The girls became restless, hungry, bored, and uncomfortable. Parents who stayed also had to wait in the lobby and then find somewhere else to go, since parents are not allowed on the bus. Altogether, parents were left waiting around for nearly 4 hours. This was stressful, inconvenient, and not fair to the children or their families. We booked the most expensive package because if you know me, you know I like to go all out for my baby. I expected a high-quality experience that matched what was advertised and what I paid for. Unfortunately, that was not what we received. Payments could only be made through Cash App, Venmo, or Zelle, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. * The spa bus arrived an hour late, disrupting the entire party schedule.* Despite paying for the premium package, the girls only received services that closely resembled the basic package, not what was promised or paid for.* There were two staff members present, but the one assisting the owner showed very little patience with the girls. These are young children who were excited and deserved kindness and professionalism.* When I raised my concerns, I was told the staff member was tired from a previous party, which is not an acceptable excuse when providing a paid service. After confirming everything by email, I requested an itemized invoice outlining exactly what my daughter would receive, especially since full payment was required a week in advance. That itemized invoice was never provided. My advice to parents booking with this spa bus based in Columbia: please request an itemized invoice and keep documentation of everything. There were services promised and paid for that were simply not delivered. As a parent who invested a lot to create a special experience for my child, this was extremely frustrating and disappointing. No parent wants to see their child excited for something that doesn't meet expectations. I took the loss this time, but I learned my lesson. I am a strong supporter of Black owned businesses and will continue to be but we must hold each other accountable and operate with professionalism and integrity. I'm sharing this to encourage accountability, transparency, and to help other families make informed decisions when planning their child's special day.

My…read morefriends and I bought our tickets for $25 on Groupon and then went to the Paint Nite website to register for our evening of painting. You can choose by location, artist, painting, or date. We did a Paint Nite at El Rodeo in Edgewood. We were about 20 minutes early and the four of us were able to get a row of seats together. We started a few minutes after six. The session began with the instructor making us say a funny Paint Nite oath about how we would not complain that our paintings were horrible. Everyone was given an apron, white canvas, three different size paint brushes and a plate with white, black, red, blue and yellow globs of paint. Following the directions from our instructor, everyone in the class mixed colors and painted a beautiful beach scene. I do not consider myself talented in the art department, but my painting turned out beautifully. With the instructor and assistant, our group had a great time at Paint Nite. We enjoyed ourselves and the time we spent together making our masterpieces. For my group, it was everyone's first time, but we were all very excited and would like to plan another night out doing the same with more of our friends. I think this is a great idea for friends, couples (even though the majority of the class was women) and a night out. You do not have to drink, but it can make the paintings look better for some people! Tips: Arrive early for a good selection of seats. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on (it might not happen, but it can and did to me!) but still look nice because they will be taking pictures to put on their Facebook page. And most importantly, have fun!

We strongly caution others before booking Create With Art and Soul for an event…read more Our nonprofit animal rescue booked a Paint & Sip fundraiser scheduled for March 2026 and paid a $100 deposit in November to secure the date. We were told that work on the painting design would begin right away. Because this was a rescue fundraiser, we clearly requested dog-themed artwork so we could promote the event and sell tickets. After paying the deposit, communication became extremely inconsistent. Nearly two months passed before we received any design examples, and the images provided were mostly unrelated to our request. We repeatedly clarified that we needed dog-themed artwork and even sent examples, but despite multiple emails and messages throughout January, we never received an appropriate design. By the end of January -- almost three months after paying the deposit -- we still had no usable artwork. Without a painting design, we could not market the event or sell tickets, leaving us no choice but to cancel with about six weeks' notice. When we requested a refund due to the lack of progress and communication, we were told the deposit was non-refundable. This policy was never disclosed on the website, social media pages, emails, or at the time payment was requested. We were later told a refund check would be sent, but after requesting the refund be returned via PayPal for accounting purposes, communication stopped and no refund was issued. As a nonprofit rescue organization, every dollar goes directly toward veterinary care and saving dogs' lives, so losing these funds was especially disappointing. Fortunately, we quickly found another Paint & Sip artist who provided appropriate artwork within one day -- something we had been trying to obtain for months. This experience involved poor communication, unmet expectations, and a lack of transparency regarding deposit policies. Organizations planning events should be aware that timely communication and clear agreements are essential, and unfortunately that was not our experience here. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this business.

My friends and I had chosen a welcome doormat with a sunflower. We began painting the sunflower and quickly realized that the yellow paint was not showing up well on the brown mat. Sheena quickly told us that we needed to mix white and yellow together to make it brighter (although we had not been given any white paint). She mixed a large plate of it for us, which was great...until we ran out. I went to get more and was given one small amount of yellow and one small amount of white and told to just mix it together in a rather rude manner. The ratio was not the same, so this led to it being a different color yellow than the previous plate of paint. The third time that I went up, it appeared that they had run out of yellow and the paint that I was given was basically water. A little research after the class led me to realize that the pictures being used to advertise the classes are from the internet (the design is a mat from Walmart), not actual samples of completed projects. The font on the mat that I received was crooked in addition to the yellow paint fiasco! Needless to say, my doormat will be going to the trash. Very disappointed as I was hoping to make a fall mat in the future!
